  1. so far, public records have proven My father was born and raised near Elbow Lake MN, closer to Herman MN would be more accurate. google will verify the proximity to Morris MN, where Kenny is from. everybody knows everybody in those parts! they probably knew each other. my parents marriage is also proven to have ended shortly after NORJACK like I said. my fathers military service during the Vietnam war as a ATC is proven. his pilots licence, proven as well. working outdoors = proven skin color = proven height = 6 foot proven brown eyes = proven my claims about "Billy Volks" murder = proven correct (may yield fingerprints and prove my father was DB Cooper once and for all) and most recently, FBI and others have been using a retouched version of a comic book to support a unproven theory = debunked by me. and thats all in less than a week. what have you debunked, added, or proven?
  2. Wrong. Lyle thought his brother might be the hijacker. He's also more than 80 years old. He thought Nora Ephron, the director of the film Sleepless in Seattle would be the person to tell the story on Kenny. In the end, this is what Adventure Books did to ensure credibility regarding Lyle Christiansen: Lyle was signed to a no-royalties contract, and was required to provide documents, photos, testimony, and complete cooperation to AB. What does he get for all this? NOTHING. This was the only way we would deal with him. As it turned out, his contributions were reletively minor. Most of the info on Kenny ended up coming through Skipp Porteous' detective agency, or from interviews I did up here in the Northwest. Dealing with Lyle any other way would have made us no better than say...well...Bill Gossett's children, who stand to gain if Galen Cook can somehow prove his swiss cheese case. The only thing Lyle or his family stand to gain is the possibility of finding out the truth. They aren't in it for the money. you say I'm "wrong"? yet according to Skipp Porteous' detective agency: "Dear Good People, I would very much like to contact Nora Ephron, Movie Director of the movie, “Sleepless in Seattle.” I think she would be interested in what I have to say. Sincerely, Lyle Christiansen." "We would not be able to give you a famous person’s address. If you want to write a letter to Ms. Ephron, we would deliver it to her ourselves. The fee would be $495. Proceed?" "When Lyle Christiansen’s money order and letter came in the mail a few days later, Hart passed them on to the agency’s owner, Skipp Porteous. " http://nymag.com/news/features/39593/ Lyle paid Skipp Porteous? just to get the truth out there of course and possibly a movie deal.
  3. A victimless crime? No victims of NORJAK? All offers to help you are now rescinded! You are an insensitive person who operates from “an illusion of central position”. I don’t know about others, but as for me, I refuse to feed the troll. what? you don't comprehend the meaning of the word "seemingly"? who's the troll? you have just admitted that you are going to deliberately work against allowing the truth to surface. again I say, who's the troll? because what I said was all true, it's only a matter of time before it will be proven. your help can expedite that process or you can deliberately confound and hinder it. you're not actually helping "me" by checking out the story I've shared, you would be helping to prove my father was a criminal, and thus solving a crime, and most likely condemning me to eternal banishment from my fathers side of the family, if not also my mothers. seriously Sluggo, what do you think I'm gonna get out of this once it's proven? most people my age and younger have no concept of who or what "DB Cooper" was. I probably won't even get a shiny "finked out his own parents" badge. I'll be called the son of a dirty criminal and hated for ratting out my parents. thing is, I didn't ask for any of it, I didn't commit the crime! I came here to solve it, and in so doing, try to set things right. the scenario you're flipping out over was hypothetical. I'm sure they reasoned "victim-less" to justify stealing the money. like I said, they didn't see themselves as villains. just as you right now don't but you are planning on withholding information and working against solving the crime. grow up! reality isn't always as pretty as you want it to be. I was led to believe this was a site of knowledgeable/helpful people. and I'm grateful for the ones who are. I didn't come here to massage fragile egos and pay lip service in some high school popularity game. if you have any information, it's your duty to share it and help solve the "NORJACK" crime. otherwise you are an accessory after the fact.
  4. in 1982 is my best estimate for when my mother stole the briefcase from my father.. but what if I'm wrong on the year? especially for when he confessed to me? what if it was a few years earlier? and He called Kenny telling him My mom was on to him and to dump some or all of the money he still had? it stands to reason they knew each other or at least knew of each other. born in a rural area only 20 miles apart. within 10 years of each others age? earlier today I was talking with a friend who grew up within 30 miles of me, who is 10 years older than me. I asked, what if it was us? you lived in Washington/Oregon now, and I came out of the sky with a bag of stolen money. would you hide it and accept a portion for doing so? yes! especially if the only victims were an insurance company and a airline company. a seemingly victim-less crime! the Kenn y theory came to light because his brother was trying to sell the story. this suggests they didn't know where the majority of the money was. sounds more like they had a portion of the story, Kenny doesn't match the physical description, but my father does! had opportunity, motive, ability, matches the FBI psychological profile, and even confessed. if my "estimate" on the year of his confession is off by a few years, this could explain the discovery of some of money on the side of the river.
  5. RobertMBlevins said in part: This is actually true. But you can see how it came about. Guy with a parachute...name is Dan Cooper. Okay, fine. But it's just a theory, and even if it were true, unless you can put a copy of the comic with a suspect, it means nothing. He could have called himself Jesse James and it would be the same result. JamieCooper's Response: while I can see and understand this line of thought, I'll explain why it does matter, and couldn't have been "Jesse James" My Father didn't view himself as a villain, that wasn't his goal at all. He didn't like lies. thats why the name "Dan Cooper" is barely a lie and relied mostly on others misinterpreting, thus in my fathers warped logic, freeing his conscience. He never intended to hurt anyone from stealing that money or Hijacking the plane. thats why he used road flares, thats why he tried to be as pleasant and decent as possible to the crew. He actually respected and cared about their well being in a real sense. it was his own safety, he wasn't quite as concerned about. He didn't steal the money out of greed or for selfishness per say, He did what he felt was the only option he had. I don't know if this comic book had any influence on what he did, but I do know his favorite song, "the Man in Black" by Johnny Cash did. and if you are involved with any production regarding "DB Cooper" that is the song you should be using!
  6. This is actually true. But you can see how it came about. Guy with a parachute...name is Dan Cooper. Okay, fine. But it's just a theory, and even if it were true, unless you can put a copy of the comic with a suspect, it means nothing. He could have called himself Jesse James and it would be the same result. Publishers use fonts from whatever list of fonts they have. This particular comic is printed in French, and I doubt the publishers even know about the DB Cooper plane ticket. Come on, Jamie. Think! There is NO comic book/plane ticket conspiracy going by the French publisher. Do you know how that sounds to most people when you say that stuff? Half the people in Washington State, if they are under the age of 30, don't even remember who the heck DB Cooper even is anymore. I have to remind them. "He was that guy who jumped out of the jet with that money..." "Oh, yeah," they say. But you can tell they only remember vaguely. Your claim sounds a bit tin-hat, and so far-fetched as to be almost laughable. Ever walked up to an airline ticket counter and they let YOU fill out the ticket? Of course not. That's their job, and the fact that Hal Williams filled out the ticket for Cooper is common knowledge. Today, airline tickets are done differently, but back in 1971 it went like this: You went up to the counter. You said where you were going. They take out the blank ticket and ask you your name. They fill it out, take your money, and I think they give you a copy or something. "Have a nice flight," is the usual way it ended. The reason THEY fill it out is because a lot of people can't write legibly, and the agent is responsible for the accuracy of the ticket. Also, he has to fill in the price. What you suggest is similar to going into a 7-11 and when you get to the counter with your chips and beer, the clerk opens the register and lets you make your own change. This is a non-issue. If it makes you feel any better, I told the History Channel that the comic book 'link' was just an unproven theory, and had not been connected to any of the suspects. The only way it would even be evidence is if the police searched the house of a suspect and found fifty copies of the comic hidden in his house. And even then it would be useless as evidence unless you found something else, such as a few bills from the ransom. It's just a dead end. glad you did the right thing, dead end or not! we need to maintain the integrity of the story as best we are able. I'm sure the French comic company is simply capitalizing on the perceived "DB Cooper" connection. a popular enough theory for the History channel to chose it as a medium to present it as a memento of thanks?
  7. never called in a murder b4. but I just did. I'll update as applicable on the William Vocks case, if any of you are interested. I also told them the location that I last saw the Briefcase. so? maybe they will find it? for the record, my father was a suspect but had a rock solid alibi, he didn't contribute to or cause the death of William Vocks! my father was alot of things but murderer wasn't one of them. theres a possibility of useable prints in this though, if anyone is listening.
  8. wow! good work, that must be the guy. Wilkin county! for some reason I sudden;y feel kinda frightened. that that sheriff might still be around or worse yet in a greater position of power. I never saw what "Billy" looked like before. like alot of this other stuff it's not quite as real until you actually see it. I spose I gotta call in what I know 377, youre a lawyer right? what should I do?
  9. So you are in Snowmman's posse? Cool. 377 I don't know who snowman is outside of this forum, and I probablly shouldn't even have mentioned the fame thing. it has no bearing on this case.
  10. Excuse me! Why would I ask your permission about anything. YOU are the one who posted to the thread a PM I sent to you as something very private. Not the other way round! I know you are a musician trying to make a name for yourself and you will not ride to stardom on the Cooper71. I will NOT give you the satisfaction of replying to another one of your posts, Enjoy the ride! "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" while it's true, I used to perform on-stage in the 1980's and 1990's I haven't actively pursued my musical career since raising my now 16 year old handicapped son alone. some might see that as an attempt to make good where my father didn't, just as I'm trying to do here. weak argument Jo, but very revealing. is that what has been in this otherwise fruitless adventure for you? the fame beast? oh I know all about fame, counting among my friends some of the most famous persons alive today. but I digress. and we should just stick to the case at hand.
  11. Yeah. The next thing you know, the Feds will have to put that comic into the Witness Protection Program so no one can tamper with it any further... (*Holds head in hands and groans*) Jamie doesn't even get it. Poor Thing. get what? that you've yet to produce a single shred of physical evidence or previously unnoticed fact regarding the "DB Cooper" case? riddle me this, how could the handwriting of a ticket agent be influenced by a comic-book cover that didn't exist yet?
  12. Jo, I was just wondering, why is it just minutes after I added my birth-date to my profile here, all of a sudden you came and posted something about Duane's birthday being so close to mine? and were sending private messages, which I read on previous posts you swore off doing without asking permission first. I wasn't able to find Duanes birthdate anywhere else on the web. only his birth year. how is that any kind of attempt to help me or anyone? lol obviously you both are quite familiar with "the Twilight zone" where else could people demand respect and get paid so well for spouting proven falsehoods, that is, outside of Washinton D.C.?
  13. Yeah. The next thing you know, the Feds will have to put that comic into the Witness Protection Program so no one can tamper with it any further... (*Holds head in hands and groans*) or, and God forbid, rely on reality and truth. it's not like it would be that difficult to obtain a correct copy from 1971, I found one inside of 15 minutes on google. you yourself just posted you are obtaing the proper version. this comic has been used by multiple persons as well as the FBI to justify a unproven theory that "DB Cooper" took his name from it. now we find it's been altered to resemble the handwriting on the ticket. while most or all of you here are aware it's supposed to be "Hal's" handwriting on thet ticket, do a google image search for "dan cooper handwriting", the average person thinks it's the hijackers handwriting, a belief thats encouraged when they are shown the comic with script designed to cement that idea in their heads. additionally I'm not entirely convinced it's not the hijackers handwriting, when compared to my fathers signature. I'd like to see at least one other example of "Hal's" handwriting outside of the "DB Cooper" case for comparison!
  14. I get it now. You're making a joke, right? A harried ticket agent at Podunk (Portland) International Airport made out a ticket to a passenger and tried to make his writing look like the writing on an obscure French comic book... Or...the comic book people decided it would be a cute trick to change the comic later to make it look like the handwriting on the ticket. I can't think of any way to respond to this. Sure, I like The Twilight Zone. But this is just TOO much. No comment, except to say that the comic has not been linked to any of the suspects. Some people just think the hijacker may have picked his phony name from the comic. But without a link to a specific person, it means little. a joke? this is fabricating evidence to support an unproven theory! flat out tampering with a Federal investigation! no different than forging documents! (RobertMBlevins) I'm not pointing the blame finger at you, especially considering you are ordering the correct original version for your book. only attempting to make sure the integrity of this investigation is properly maintainted.
  15. They keep publishing new editions, some in hardback as collections. Here's a few pictures of the hardback version that was given to me by the History Channel as a gift: so they are going to use the newer version that has been altered to resemble the "Dan Cooper" ticket? would you know if the FBI is aware of this alteration? or time-frame in which it occurred? the reason I ask is this exact "evidence" caused me to question my mother and fathers stories when I saw it, specifically because I was led to believe the ticket handwriting was meant to emulate the script on the 'Dan Cooper" comic. obviously this version didn't exist in 1971 and therefore shouldn't be presented as if it did. misleading, "evidence" that has been altered to resemble tangible legitimate "evidence"? not good! calls into question a lot of other things. the History Channel and anyone else using this newer version should re-shoot to more acuratly reflect the truth if they are or have used this version. one of the good things about most of this involving dead people is they can't alter or tamper with the evidence. we shouldn't either!
  16. I noticed something odd about the "Dan Cooper Comic book cover, it uses computer aided color wash techniques that didn't exist in 1972. also the lettering has been changed to resemble the Dan Cooper ticket stub. was this the publisher capitalizing on Norjack? and is the FBI aware that their example has been Photoshopped? I've attached a photo for reference and review purposes.
  17. Kenny Christiansen was originally from Morris Mn? thats around 20 miles from where my father grew up. Christiansen's family still live in MN? and theres mention of a camper/trailer? the man named "Lyle"? is his last name "Christiansen" also? I'm not asking for specific info here but can you give me a general idea as to what part of the state he lives? like the city name at least? why am I asking these things? because my father and grandmother both talked about a Lyle, not to me but with each other. there was a "Lyle" casket-bearer for my father funeral. I have a photo of a travel trailer my father owned but just always sat at his farm. toward the end of his life he became sort of obsessed with wanting me to move out of my own home and take ownership of his hobbyfarm claiming "but theres gold in these hills". BTW no hills at all in that prairie location. I only visited his farm maybe 10 times, over the course of my life. each visit was spaced out over the years, one thing I always noticed was that he appeared to have been digging and moving earth to the right hand side of the driveway. my mother insisted that he had hidden money and or gold there. prior to all this, there was a mentally challenged man named "Billy Volks" who hid money in jars and coffee cans, and buried them in his yard. he lived near the driveway of a farm my father and mother were staying at while my father did temporary jobs for the owner, near Campbell MN. "Billy" came to visit my mother and siblings while she was pregnant with me, and my father was away at work. My father and him became friends of a sort, and "Billy" revealed that he had large amounts of money stashed. apparently my father even helped him dig some up for a bill on one occasion. anyway and I apologize for the wandering and such but there is a point. Billy was murdered causing my family to move into town. my mother saying she was too frightened to be alone on a farm with small children and pregnant with a killer on the loose who may think she saw him. my father was a suspect in the case but had a solid alibi.( possible police records, and prints?) I remember my mother being questioned about this still when I was a child. a Sherrif came and had a police dog watch me telling me if I moved the dog would attack. after he left my mother would cry. this happened a few times. She later told me it was because she knew who killed Billy. it was the sheriff who kept coming and asking her if she had any ideas or leads for him. the sherrif himself killed "Billy" and stole his money. she said she saw him there at the time of the murder, not in uniform. why am I sharing this? because my Father claimed He was "smart like Billy" when asked why he was always digging next to the driveway. which was a statement Billy said in reference to how he hid his money. now getting back to "KC" and the rest of the MN bunch. aside from insisting I take ownership of his hobbyfarm, citing "theres gold in these hills". My father proclaimed many times, to both my mother and myself, that after his death I would be made aware of how much he loved me, explaining only to my mother, with instructions not to tell me until after his death, that what He meant by this was, that he had entrusted a large amount of money with a un-named but trustworthy party for safekeeping, who was to approach me after his death. he called it "Jamies trustfund". He said he did this both to make sure I was always taken care of, and to prevent her from accessing it, or stealing it away from me. to this date, noone has ever come forward. on his deathbed he had lost the ability to speak, and I could see he was struggling to tell me something but was never able to. is it possible that Kenny and/or his family crossed paths with my father, and held some of the ransom money for safekeeping purposes? is this why his relative who he borrowed money to was required to repay it? was being "smart like Billy" why money was found behind the house? could it also be connected to the T Barr money find? I realize this is all circumstantial, and make no claims of having any proof other that the pic of the camper, and any police records that others, like the FBI, could check about "Billy Volks", his murder should be verifiable anyway. "it was the sherrif", also this could turn up my Father's fingerprints, and they could be compared to the "DB Cooper" prints on file with the FBI. some of the persons involved in the "KC" theory are still alive, right? would you please ask them? to recap for FBI or independent investigation purposes. I don't know how to gather the proofs to support my story, I invite anyone with the capacity to do so. best leads for producing physical evidence are: 1. police records pertaining to the murder of Billy Volks, in the Campbell MN, area around1969-1970, my father (Donald John Cooper) was a suspect, but had a solid alibi, possible prints, or photos in file? 2. 1982 police report involving a briefcase having been stolen from my Father's residence in Wahpeton ND by my mother, my father claiming the briefcase contained "personal documents", a police scanner, and a cassette answering machine. (briefcase appeared to have been crushed previously, looked like garbage to me, had a tag on the handle supposedly incriminating, was last seen being stashed in a attic on riverside ct. in Fergus falls MN, this may be the DB Cooper briefcase) perhaps a court order could be obtained to search for it? this briefcase could contain various documents, photos, and recordings of telephone conversations useful in the "DB Cooper" case. my mother gathered and stashed this "evidence" for blackmail/extortion purposes. 3.my fathers signature displays debatable similarities to the handwriting on the "Dan Cooper" ticket, this should be compared with verifiable samples of Hal Williams' writing in other non related instances. perhaps even analyzed by a handwriting specialist. 4. the baptism photo I have supplied is the closest surviving photo I know of to the time of the "Norjack" incident. it should be offered to living eye-witnesses for their opinion.
  18. Jo, my website is www.jamiecooper.net, perhaps one of the photos there might help illustrate why I feel this "Hal Williams" could pass as a relative. I don't recognize him, and haven't even remotely suggested so. I would be willing to submit to testing to see if he is a relative though. does anyone know of other examples of his handwriting? (specifically not connected to the DB Cooper case)
  19. got the links to work now. I appreciate it! wish there was better quality pics of this "Hal Williams" because, just going by this pic anyway, He looks like he's related to me, on my fathers side.
  20. I don’t know why I am doing this, because I don’t think you are very serious. If you had taken my (and others) advice you would have found these photos posted previously. This photo from a newspaper article is in horrible condition, but it is the only one I know of. Now, if you really want to find out “the facts” of this case… do a little digging! The previous post is: HERE. while I appreciate your advice, I wasn't able to access the link you posted the first time, and 2 of them this time say they are expired.
  21. Jo are you implying the FBI is simply incompetent or has a vendetta against you?
  22. Jamie Cooper says in part: Ticket was filled out by NWA ticket agent. Passengers did NOT fill out their own tickets. EVER. The ticket agent's last name was Williams. I don't recall his first name at the moment. These facts were established long ago and the agent was interviewed extensively by the FBI at the time of the hijacking. I'm not doubting that this was normal procedure, only pointing out the similarities in the handwriting, hoping that they could be compared by qualified analysists in the future. I would also like to know more about this ticket agent. a photo would be great. again I'm going to point out that despite the normal protocol of ticket agents writing names on tickets, I'm relatively sure it wasn't normal for persons to hijack airplanes and get away with ransom money either. therefore we should expect to see out of the norm occurances. presumptions and discounting newly found potential clues are counterproductive. why wouldn't you want every possible clue investigated? shouldn't be any skin off your ass unless you don't want the truth to surface? for example, why doesn't your "Kenny Christiansen" suspect have brown eyes? or match the height requirements to be DB Cooper?
  23. here are 4 such photos as were previously posted, along with comparisons of the handwritten name on the ticket and his actual signature provided for handwriting analysis purposes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7a8Ek_UI3E
  24. I guess I could see your reasoning in regards to the DNA, if what you're saying is true. so lets toss out the DNA evidence that was used to disqualify your claims. so now what are with left with to determine if we should spend our hard earned money on your claims? eye color? I heard all of the witnesses said he had Brown eyes, that they remember quite vividly? how does that fit your claims? what about his height? well maybe in one of the estimates, but not in the majority of the eyewitness accounts, huh? is thre reason to believe he was wearing platform shoes? other than this we have? conflicting eyewitness accounts? that weren't able to produce a single coherent sketch? even to this day? the best the FBI can produce is a computer composite of all the sketches? conflicting accounts about the color of his suit?, shoes, they even botched the name he used to the point we call him "DB Cooper" so we really should throw all this out, as well. except the eye color thing. what are we left with then? unqualified guesses as to his age? this is as incompetent as thinking his brand of cigarettes or drink preferences mean anything more than simply being the choices he chose on that particular occasion. because thats what these age estimates are, uneducated guesses just tossed out there. flimsy at best. so we are left with unforgettable "brown eyes", and a "swarthy" possibly Latin appearing complexion. thats it! your suspect doesn't fit this description. so enough already with your "authoritative BS". your suspect should have been disqualified by your own rules. especially considering the "Stews" made a point of stressing that his eyes were "unforgettable." the only thing they were absolutely sure of, which the perp couldn't change simply at will doesn't fit with your Kenny Christiansen claims. please explain why this is?
  25. should I or anyone else be surprised that those whose claims have been proven false by the FBI using DNA evidence with a 0.001% chance of error, are so quick to attempt to discredit the facts I've shared? again, all I ask is that a portion of any profits made, based on your own conscience be given to a suitable charity, for example a salvation armory or homeless shelter. as with all things in this universe, the DB Cooper/Norjack reality is emergent, and so regardless of what I or others say or do, the evidence to support the story I relayed will emerge. it is only a matter of time. the past is unchangeable. I've known the identity of DB cooper since I was age 5, and now I've shared the story to the best of my abilities, and in doing so have freed my own conscience. I am grateful for this outlet to do so! thanks! I want those who he kidnapped to know He is dead, and cannot come after you in any way. it is my hope that the lives of others who have been affected in pursuit of this criminal, can now be improved. my only regret is that I wasn't able to share these facts at an earlier time. thanks and be good to yourselves, and to each other. as my father was fond of saying "there is no more fun here"
