  1. CIWS. . .(Sea Whiz) coolest weapon we have on board. We like to annoy the Fire Controlmen with the acronymn: Captain, It Won't Shoot. We use CIWS, Guns, and Missiles to take out imbound missiles on board ships. I'm pretty sure this might work. CIWS expierence tells me ,though, that you don't want troops anywhere near the vicinity of the tank as the debris of the shattered rocket will still pepper the tank and areas around it. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  2. I've read Ron Paul's speech. He doesn't seem to know much about money. Gold is valuable and precious because it is wanted. Money has always and will always be a medium of exchange. All that matters is that the said medium is recognized by the two exchangers as a good vehicle for that matter. in short, money's main purpose is to allow a person exchange, rather than sell his cow for 2 horses, for one of those horses for 100 chickens, one of those chickens for 2 sacks of onions, to trade one onion for the one toothbrush he needs. Money is an I.O.U., it's a legal tender, it's a bond. Gold is a wanted substance. Why would someone need to back up money with gold when they can back it up with their self-worth, their assets, or their whole reason for exchange in the first place? In the end when things go to shit, what would you rather have? gold? or guns bullets, food, water, shelter? Sure gold "stores money" but for what? more guns bullets food water and shelter in the future. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  4. Might be wacko judge. The case happened before the Gold Standard was gotten rid of. people had a different concept of what money was compared to today. Apparently, a lot of notes had to be backed by gold or silver then and in this case it wasn't. This case has no relevance today. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  5. chicken saltimbocca. Get a boneless chicken breast, lay a slice of proscuitto over it, lay down some chopped spinach that was mixed with extra-virgin olive oil and ground pepper, then sprinkle with shredded parmesan cheese. roll it up, stick toothpicks to hold the roll, cook medium-high in olive oil to get slight brown, then add one cup of chicken broth and let boil covered till chicken is thoroughly cooked and broth is reduced to use as a glaze. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  6. I don't know. I wouldn't trust a websiste who tries to make itself look like a real world organization and steal some thunder from real organizations like the the WHO. their main guy, or the original website owner, has nothing but made up degrees from degree mills, some of their "doctors" do not have recognized degrees. Or they are self certified. Their one real MD was told not to practice becasue she was suffering from parania and other psychological disorders. Definitely not a good site to use for support. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  8. The exception of the rule is that people get wrongfully accused. Most of the people do not get wrongfully accused. This is not obscure. The Constitution guarantees these rights, but the people who violate these said rights aren't a piece of paper. There's always going to be exceptions. There always has , there always will be. A lot of crazy turbulent things have to happen before these papers on display in D. C. are nullified. A lot. there's way too many people in this country that will fight life and death to prevent that. Do not underestimate the power of the "Sheep" History has proven again and again that Sheep outnumber the Wolf and the Wolf can only push so much. Life has a way of preventing a long-run "Zero Sum" from happening anywhere. George Orwell wrote an easy to read book about a dystopic 1984, not a peer reviewed dissertation about 1984. not directed to anyone in particular You know, I kind of wonder if a lot of people with "falling sky" syndrome started out with a initial read of the book "1984". You know, someone reads it and their life is altered like those Tool Fans*. They joined the Club. Now they are doomed to walk the earth comparing all negative instances of gov't stuff to the "1984" and shout out loud. . ."Ah, Ha!! It's a police state!!" or "Gramma can't take a shit without asking Big Brother!!" But I won't get it because I am not part of the Club. *As in: you and a Tool Fan talk about the band and you say something to the effect that "They definitely didn't forget about Time Signatures and cleaning it up in High School Band. Too bad you have to listen to the singer while enjoying the music.", and they say: "YOU DON'T GET IT. NONE OF YOU GET IT!! It's about the music, man!! I understand it, but you are not part of the Club so you cant understand it. You can't know what I know!!" _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  9. true. But exeption to the rule doesnt change the rule. You are of course only going to hear bad stuff on the news. scenes checked out by cameras instead of, or supplementing, actual cops. same amount of intrusion; more efficient. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  10. Explosions don't necessarily mean bombs going off. Remember that the two main suporting structures are the outside walls of the building and the central core. The core started to collapse first , and the outer walls were pulled down with it. That's why you see a lot of "Explosive action" before the visible collapse started to happen Question here is, how near the time? There are express elevators the height of the building that expanding burning av-gas can rush down. especially if the elevators are above the impact point. Yes I would. I beleive they saw explosions. I'm pretty sure none saw actual bombs before they went off though. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  11. You hit them where it hurts. Government revenue. If your city starts hawing about this, go to the council meeting and give your speech. Don't hint any resemblance of a slippery-slope argument regardless how realistic it is. Any resemblance to common mistakes they are just going to "listen" to you and pat you on your head in their minds. Tell them that putting cameras up in the City will prevent people from going to that affected area and will hurt business as a result. No commerce, loss of city revenue. The buisness men will go apeshit. Might not work if the City has enough money to place cameras in all business areas. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  13. I can't really fight for my own freedoms right now. Can only Q-Back politick right now till I get out. Politics does intrigue me. You might see me in some office in the future. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  14. True. . .But it would have to be a fascist theoracracy. I have complete confidence in those Third Party types and Civil Liberties groups to fight tooth and nail against any imbalance towards fascism _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  15. I beleive in privacy and freedom too. I beleive you have the same amount of privacy in public places now, with or without the cameras It's just that with the cameras, being "questioned by an cop on the street" is more efficient. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  16. I think this above quote stood out the most for me. It seems if any of the above is considered something to hide, you might be lying to someone. None of these stuff are illegal. . . But mostly, If someone is not breaking any laws they would not have any reasons to fear any of this. I know this is a cop-out retort answer to this line of questioning, but I feel it rings true. Personally, I like the idea because it seems to have an ability over the long run to save a lot of money on bureacratic paper shuffling. You can spot a crook faster and be able to convict them a lot more quicker; a lot less trials per case. It would save a lot of investigative man-hours. You can downsize certain offices and completely get rid of whole departments. More than likely, there will be no real-time monitoring (It would be totally unfeasable to hire hundreds of govt people to stand a 24 hour watch) but it all be recorded until a particular time-frame in a certain area needs reviewing. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  18. I beleive the fact that the rich didn't fight the vietman war and the fact it was a poor man's war. I also believe that it was intentional that the poor go rather than the rich. But I believe Government's intent was more economic and not "save our kids". In my opinion, as wrong as this sounds, I believe the deferments were a practical means of economic upkeep. If you sent in too many kids who had a high chance of a formal education, you are going to get a deficit in the white collar world in the future. That will mess up a GDP that would otherwise recover the U.S. after an expensive war. Maybe the govt then could have not segregated and instead sent anyone, but then the govt would need to make a lot of grants to send the poor to school. In the end, someone has to pay for education for the future, and the govt probably didn't have money then. The parents did. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  21. Sometimes the children are too old to enlist. Sometimes, it's okay for legal adults to have their own lives and not do stuff to help Daddy's or Mommy's career. Grandchildren and sometimes Great-grandchildren are not paying attention to their Grandfather's career and worried about their own career. Most of the time, families of elected offices have enough money to go to universities and formal education is second nature for them. The Military is voluntary. The largest part of the misconception is that the Enlisted ranks are paid more attention to when dealing with this conspiracy. A lot of Officers come from affluent families. They have to volunteer too. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  22. What is gullible? I say it's discounting information from sources with Phd's Graduate degrees, real expierence, peer-reviewed Academic Journals but immediately latch onto some, beleive it or not, unoriginal questions and premises from one source or website backed by testimonials rather than empirical evidence. Believe it not, most people ask questions and rarely believe anything they hear. It seems to me that Conspiracy Theorists rarely question the conspiracies themselves. That's gullible to me. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  24. The economy would be able to tell if this happens. All you have to do is watch for inflation unaccounted for. You can't hide that. M3 is not being reported because of the costs way exceed the benefits of doing it. You could get enough info from M1 and M2. There is no conspiracy of the 10% rule of banks. Banks are only allowed to lend out 90% of your deposit for the purpose of preventing crashes from bank runs. This came out of the Crash in the 30's. Banks arent the only company that creates money out of "thin air". So does Starbucks, private schools, Walmarts and Girlscouts and their crappy cookies. Banks are making profit off of interests(which is the reason they are here for in the first place). The FED prints money in a way to best balance the economy. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
