  1. Oh, there's a law for it out there. . .It's called Gravity. But I think it's only a Tort offense if she tries to defy it. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  2. I sure did, but I didn't have the eyesight for it. (I wanted the Shuttle Commander seat) _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  3. I see the great payraise when I win that Contract for Mr. Spacely. Wait. . . That's George Jetson's dream. Time to get out more. . . _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  4. Nope, no fascism here. I'm in the U. S. Navy. . .I know Fascism. This is not Fascism. There is way too much personal freedoms. I look over the fence at the Good Ol United S of A and wish I can have their freedoms and have this job too. Now Dr Britt and his column. . .calling out those 14 steps designed to let you make your own conclusions whether this is a Facist Country or not. . .on His own terms. Asking you if those guidelines remind you of anything familiar, but not saying if he thinks they are familiar; trying to get you to think like him. 5. That's good news. Now I can wear my flag-shirt on the fourth of july. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  6. True. But, if an over-enthusiastic duck hunter is looking for duck, he is always going to find it somewhere in any way possible. He might even accidentally shoot one of those short-neck geese that resemble ducks. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  7. Well, Dr. Britt found 14 instances. But we still have a Constitution; Corporations owned by the public; no Nationalized Commanding Heights; the fact that we can have this discussion comfortably and not worry about dissapearing in the night. And we are protected by a lot of want-for-drama influenced "viva-la-resistance" movements that spout their imaginary causes in very public media, papers, and in front of the very people that can oppress them. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  8. Remember, these are characteristics of Facism. Not proof. Since the beginning of The US, national pride has been around. In all those years, facism has not taken over. Maybe in the 60's and 70's the Vietman War has caused Pride to drop some. But that was a product of the Hipster-wannabe college students and hippies calling Revolution because it was the "in" thing to do or the new Disestablished fad. Sadly the Revolution failed; or sadder, imagined. The hippies grew up and the college students graduated and became the Yuppies of the 80's(What generation did you think the Yuppies grew up in?). Today is the highest time of human rights a U. S citizen can enjoy. Women can vote now, Gay Rights are making some headway and Blacks and minorities are protected against discrimination.(A lot of people can claim Reverse Discrimination and can rightly beleive that. But it is still a product of healthy Human Rights, or Too much of it.) We saw this in Nazi Germany, But when did any of our presidents blame a minority in the U. S as a cause of our demise of this Country thus sending them off to extermination? There's still communists here after McCarthy and we still have the same Govt. They have to. They are the ones who send us off to war. Military costs money. This applies to all countries, not just facist ones. Unfortunately, an opinion that cannot be backed up by either side. That is the main purpose of any military and has been since dawn of Humankind. This statement applies to all countries facist or not. Can't argue against this one. There's been evidence, but not proof. Only time will tell. So far, oils and halliburton are not showing exclusion to the stock market slump. Women in the U. S today have more freedom than any of those countries in their Facist periods How would one know this? Especially if the General Public was unawares. Most of these"Corporations" mentioned were Commanding Heights for those countries that were State Runned. Corporations are owned by Shareholders here and everybody can be part of the pie. Doesn't apply in the U. S. anymore. The consumers and technology eliminated the labor format of yesteryear. Not true in the U. S. The "Contempt" caused here is because the poor are usually not highly educated well and use "Common sense" to make sense of their areas of weakness. Problem is, common sense only work within peer groups and job descriptions, rarely works if crossed from different peer groups. This brings up the bulk of Conspiracies of organizations they are not educated enough, or have the drive enough, to work in. Where has this happened here? Nothing illegal and wrong with this statement. I sure as hope the powers to be are obsessed. Can't let our enemies know are true capabilities. Though the NSA fiasco was a black eye, I'm sure it won't bring down the house to Facism. Evidence, circumstanial at best, but not proof. ___________ This is a Fortune Telling recipe for Facist seekers and doomsayers; You can find any example of each step in any country and say "yup, there it is". _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  10. What is considered middle class nowadays? Income or type of employment? Rich and poor gaps are good indication in third-world countries as bad quality of life, maybe even reasons behind being a third-world nation. But, with the type of economy and market we have today, is a income gap really a problem? Is it something to worry about because another country shows class gaps. All other things constant, does the widening gaps mean the same thirld world vs. first world? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  11. Okay, good point. Maybe the trailer parks should at least be a major part of budget planning. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  13. I'm back. This whole report is basically a 1950's book that has some newer stuff inserted into it a couple of decades ago. From the time the federal reserve was set up to now, there has been so many changes in the economy and society that this report has no use what so ever for anyone but conspiracy theorists. It is totally useless. I like this quote the best.: In Summary, the Federal Reserve directors are apparently representatives of a small elite group which dominates much of the economic life of this nation." Of course only a small elite group dominates the economic life of this nation! Why is this a conspiracy? You want to let people from the barrios, trailers, and ghettos make economic decisions? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  14. Interesting. I'll read it later. But I warn you, his contribution on this was written in the fifties-when the Bretton Woods was in full swing. also he wrote about a conspiracy dealing with the Illuminati. I'll talk at you later. I have to be somewhere else. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  15. Ahh nostalgia. . .I remember my "Stripper Stage". don't let her move in. It's hard to get them out after that. Then she will inviter her friends over. . .Sexy party you say? Don't kid yourself. The Cockroaches will say "damn, we have an infestation here!!" That's my experience though. Truthfully though, they aren't much different from regular women, they just have odd hours and odd friends. 19. What's neat also is you can change any sound with a downloaded sound file. a couple of guys in our office found the sound-bite of the seagulls on "Finding Nemo" and affixed it to our mail notification. Soon we all had it. Then one day, during a staff meeting, someone from up above sent an all-hands email and the whole place exploded in "Mine! Mine! Mine . . ." Got a good laugh, but we changed it back after that. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  20. think of it this way. . .You are making a decision about the future of someone that may be a total stranger at graduation. Make the decision like its for someone else that you care for. Also. . .What's a few extra years compared to a whole lifetime? I know. totally Cheezy. DOOO IT! _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  22. Now that's a very good attitude. it's very refreshing to read it. I have a similar educational background, except I am already a graduate and now persuing a Masters in Finance. For the future, always read stuff with a grain of salt. Especially magazines and bestsellers. When I saw you use the phrase "Coporatocracy", it reminds of a book I am reading now called "confessions of an economic hitman". It's written for the aluminium-foil-hat audience and favored by groups that look for any type of excuse to scream conspiracy. If you haven't read it, I recommend it. At least to understand how much people don't know about things and willing to take any "common sense" that passes their way. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  23. I don't undersand what you are saying here. Are you saying corruption as the definition we are all familiar with is healthy? Or are you saying government intervention, as definition of corruption, is healthy? Seems to me the purpose of that quote is to fight off the Keynesian way of thinking of govt intervention of the Market. The kind of thing Margret thatcher and Reagan was correcting during the eighties. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  24. Yup, you're right. It hasn't changed much. I take back what I've said about it "changing through time". But, that Resolution is for the purpose of adopting the definiton of "Agression" not determinig legalization of wars. The puropse of that Resolution was to make Capter 7, articles 39 to 51 make sense. Those articles define what actions or assistance they will provide for/against aggressive nations, not determine legality. No legality/Illegality exists between nations. There's no Super-Sovreignity. Laws exists only inside borders of nations. If the U.N. is strong enough, it may sanction against undesirable behaviors. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
