  1. Love your sexist attitude. Keep them pregnant and in front of a stove. When was your last Ops Intel brief? Update your SCI and join a DOD organization again. But then, you have all the answers. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  2. I'll concede to historical knowledge you have presented. Women have shown more constraint. But that nagging feeling and personal experience I have seen shows me that women can be just as corrupted and irrational. With more women up and coming into power, only time can make what is essentialy at the moment, a broken clock theory that represents my argument, a possible reality. Truthfully, I hope you are right. Fact is, there will more women involved in world affairs as time goes. If you are right, we all win. If I am right. . .pphhuuuk. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  3. I believe, in general, that women have a clue too. But I do not believe they are going to have more sensitivity to conflict and decision making. I believe they have the capability to show the same aggressiveness and assertiveness. I have had two female COs in my career and they can be just as ruthless and quick to judge and be irrational as any man. I am as afraid of any woman with power as I am a man. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  4. Were you working with those Billion dollar programs out there, or were you a loadmaster of a C-141? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  5. Okay, I'll have to agree with that point here. After all, most here would have the education instead. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  6. Well, multi-billion dollar machines do keep us safe. Pointing guns across our borders do not keep us safe in this day and age. missiles and rockets and others can be launched from many miles, and within their own nations' borders, and overfly local protection. Billion dollar programs are the only things that can protect us from these threats. You can't stop the missiles flying from within our borders, but you can with in theirs. Also the same, Terrorism can't be choked off within our borders also. You have to go to the source. B2's are not defensive weapons except for deterrence, they are offensive weapons to retaliate. And they protect our precious airmen with stealth when they have to do their job. AQ are not soveriegn nations. They are a cellular terrorist group that have been a threat for decades that did not ask soverign nations permission to protect said nations' ideals. Showing initiative without cause is not a good reason for us to go into talks with them. Then you understand that the most advanced of cultures are still primordial in wants and needs and are a threat to other nations that have it. You need to have experience with those that themselves don't understand peace before you can correctly assume peace is an alternative. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  7. Me neither. National opinions and identity differ country to country. Not all of us military type believe in the "jealous of us" crap. Al queda. Probably the only pure "out to get us" out there. Others, it's a lot more complicated. Don't get confused with the actions and opinions of the individual human being with the actions and opinions of Soverign nations. It may be easy to anthromorphisize countries as human beings to compare/contrast ideas and beliefs, but it doesn't work well. Humans may be in the 21st century luxury of liberalism, but countries still exist in the bronze age of thinking. Hence, countries still fight for establishing the best "water hole" access and other creature comforts. Sorry. This is how it really is. Our lack of policy will bring opportunity for others. Damed if you will; damned if you don't. I agree here. I wish the whole world would stop their shenanigans so we can catch up. Nope, they won't. We just will have to figure out a better way to accomplish this. And here lies the problem. Too many people are sure their policy will work. None are perfect. All are seriously flawed and dangerous. Solutions so far seem to be a simple fix to a complicated problem. . . Ripe for political votes only. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  8. Well hell, A box of crayola is definitely a lot more cheaper than a magazine of 5.56mm rounds. Of course it is going to be a bit off. And yes. . . It is not near the amount we need. Trust me, the rest of the world would rather have more money for defense if they were given the option; and, the country with the best primary school education would not turn down money given to them to supplement their education needs. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  9. Nope. At least these ones don't. The military doesn't have enough money either and has to cut dangerous corners too. You can never have "enough" money for Education or Defense. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  10. "Do as I say, not as I do" crosses all regious and geographical lines that it's just moot. I agree. Yup, me too. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  11. Geez. . . just because someone is recording live doesn't mean that the background screens behind them have to show real time events. it's probably the only recording they had at the time. Everyone is in front of green screens. The studio is rarely anywhere near an outside wall where natural light can wreak havoc in the interior lighting the cameras require. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  12. I didn't mean to say Walmart would sell it, I used them as a reference of mass distribution/production. But yup, their stuff is total crap. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  13. You know. . .i have always been wanting to say this to you all who have developed the systems that are responsible for saving and protecting lives in this war and previous conflicts: Thank you for all you have ever done. You are greatly appreciated. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  14. He would have to. One has to be able to start from somewhere when dealing with that kind of info; Windsor has provided more insight with his post. I worked with Army Intel types and I can say only that the Specialist has an important part in the equasion and has to have that access to assist the Chain of Command in generating great Intel. For the most part, these kids have the dicipline and responsibility to have such access. This guy was a rare, bad egg. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  15. I am not ashamed to say that I am attracted to that woman.
  16. Call it comfirmation bias on my part if you will, but why does it always seem that the anti-social ones tend to be the common trait with these kind of violations? Does being socially inept open one to paranoid or delusional opinions, or is it the other way around _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  17. There are large warehouses that have been bought by investors just in case the bill passes. Some of these areas are the size of two football fields. Most of the small growers will disappear overnight. The pot counter-culture will change as business suits take control of the pot economy. I think we'll have everything from bottom of the barrel Wal-Pot to quality hand-crafted stuff. And just like everything else, you will pretty much get what you pay for. I'm thinking that Wally-Weed will be the quality stuff as compared to home-grown stuff for the same reason Napa valley vinifera produces the best cabernet vs. the best home-grown hybrids in Cali. Lots of money to throw into horticulture technology. It's a lot cheaper to buy a good BV wine for $60 a bottle than spending thousands of dollars and seven years minimum to get at best, too young vines that only produce a few gallons. A bit severe in the difference between the two plants, but. . . _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  19. And here I always thought your screen name had something to do with beer. So much for assumptions.... I thought it was the Belgian draft horse his name was referencing. Smaller than a clydesdale, but not by much. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  20. Actually, I think you won here. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  21. Let's see if I remember: Lufthansa KLM Southwest PSA American Delta Continential Damn. Not to impressive. Oh yeah. . . Moose Chrome See if anyone recognizes that. The name of my bar if I get to open one: "Moose and Chrome". _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  22. Yeah. . . but I wasn't calling him McTurd. Chill out there. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  23. This is by far the most accurate post on the situation in my opinion. Even in the lower NCO ranks, we are responsible for the culture of respect to our superiors and orders. This type of transgression is looked at as weak leadership traits and will get you replaced anywhere up and down your Chain of Command. There is no lack of up and coming talent to not risk chopping for unfavorable command environment. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  24. I'm projecting again? god I hate losing by default Is my slip showing? How is it that ones who has been on active duty since the Vietnam War and those of us on the ground who get military history forced down our throats not realize the similarities, but someone armcharing and getting info by the media is able to before any of us? Who is the one projecting here? Okay now: The simiarities of the situation have always been noticed and therefore assumed, actually scrutinized by everyone inside/outside the Service. It's importance is mostly to be used for political posturing on both sides of the aisle and protesters as if we are ignorant and don't realize the similarities. Has it occured to you to ask why things appear similar? Or to look at the differences? Or to know which similarities will be there for the next proceeding wars? Or even that these similarities are actually luxuries of not being in an all out brawl against a country that may be a possibility in the future. But of course, there are differences. . . _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  25. Quotes don't always apply in every situation, even if you perceive it that way. The rhetoric that you hear in the news sources that is being paid most attention to may not be what really is the center of what's going on. You call my post naive; I call your posting as uninformed; your tools of assessing the situation, obsolete. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
