It will be the coolest section of hell. We will have the widest variety of people and the greatest stories to talk about. I can't wait!! Oh, hang on a sec, yes I can wait!! Nevermind. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  2. Darwin Awards rock all. I frequently check in on the forums there. They have a lot of good conversations. Theres a lot of quantum physics stuff for you fellow lovers of quantum physics. I wish I knew more about it but its too much math for me. Maybe some day. Sorry for changing the subject. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  3. You know what they say, "You know your a skydiver when you look out the window of a building and estimate your odds of pulling of a 180 degree hard front riser turn." Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  4. I have never heard or seen any of those before. He could just be screwing with you, but its very possible that CSA is the Canadian Skydivers Association, if there is such a thing. He got me too. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  5. I agree with maretus. I have around 170 sabre jumps loaded at 1.0. I have only been slammed once and it wasn't very hard but it was completely my fault. It was because I S-folded the thing like 5 times when I was trying to get it in the bag. It was pretty new at the time. Now I can stick it in a bag half the size of the first bag and it still opens great. I don't have a pocketed slider either. It is a great canopy and will give you some good, safe performance until you are ready to downsize. I'm thinking I'm gonna stay with my Sabre until the end of this season, then I'm going to maybe a 150 or 135 of something else. Oh forget that, I'll just go straight to a VX 60. J/K. 6. No I haven't been out with a girl with a pierced tongue. My girlfriend wants to do it. If she does, thats ok with me, it just seems like it would be more of a hassle than a benefit. She also wants to get her belly button pierced. I'm not gonna try to stop her but she already looks extremely hot without them. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  7. I am gonna disagree with you all. I feel that the sexiest thing would be to not have any. That just shows that you are proud of your body the way it is and that you don't have to fancy it up with any jewelry or art. Looking at my girl is much better the way she is than if she had a picture in the way. Plus, a belly button ring would hurt my tongue after a while, hehe. Same thing with a tongue ring. 8. I used the kind with the red cap. I think it was originally made for automotive apholstry. It worked fine. I spent about a week putting it on. I really needed it since my container is black and white. So what did you get? Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  9. Yikes!! You guys definately need a little help with your addiction. I am actually just the opposite. Now, I feel lonely after jumping so I need to rush home to my girlfriend. I used to feel a little sad because everyone was always talking about all their girlfriends and experience and stuff like that, when I had absolutely none. Skydiving rocks all but it doesn't mean absolutely everything to me anymore. I am willing to compromise but I will never stop jumping. I guess I got a little of the topic didn't I? Oh well. 10. I would pick myself. If I was unavailable I would choose Heather Graham and myself. If I was still unavailable I would choose Sylvester Stallone. If only Jim Varney was still alive. Him and maybe Chris Farley. That would be an excellent movie. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  11. Welcome back Bill. Anyways, listen to the pilot. Another example would be burning jet fuel along the side of the plane. If you open the door it might cause the jet fuel to get inside and set the cabin on fire. This is just another scenario as to why you should always listen to the pilot. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  12. Its a good opinion though. I agree. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  13. Hey, you have the exact same number of jumps I have, 224. Thats awesome. I don't know much about California though. Safe landings, Alex D-23912

Sounds like you got the last laugh laserq3 because you got an extra hour of sleep. Hahaha!! Right back at ya!! Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  15. I wish I could make 70 jumps in one month. I guess you probably made a ton of money. Cool man. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  16. I never did a tandem as my first jump. In fact I have only done one and thats because it was to test a very old rig and it was free. I lived. Anyways, I wouldn't complain about having a female instructor. I would probably want a female instructor for my girlfriend since most guys just can't hold any decency around most girls, but since female tandem instructors are hard to find, I guess she would have to go with a guy. Maybe it will be me. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  17. I took a nap once when I got home from school. I woke up around 7:00. It looked kindof light outside so I thought that maybe I had slept through the night (like I did the week before). My mom wasn't home so I figured that she was at work. I got up and took a shower, got dressed, and ate breakfast. I figured that I would get to school a little late. My school is about 20 minutes away and when I got there there was nobody there. Suddenly it hit me. It was 7:00 pm!! I didn't notice this because none of my clocks say AM or PM on them. The only one that did was turned at a slight angle so I couldn't see the little light. I was so mad. This is a true story too. It happened last year. I haven't done it since though. I'm retarded. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  18. If you are going to be in southern Ohio I recommend taking the drive to Greensburg Indiana. I have jumped many times at Skydive Greene County. Its a pretty good DZ with friendly people and great planes, but I would recommend Skydive Greensburg way before Greene County. Sure you can jump a CASA at Greene County but at Greensburg we have a King Air that will get you to altitude in 9-10 minutes!! Plus its a much more modern DZ. In 30 jumps at Greene County I have landed off about 10 times. In 190 jumps at Greensburg I have landed off maybe 5 times. Check them both out though. But its well worth the drive to Greensburg. If you are moving to Cincinnati it is just about the same distance to both DZs. Well get in a few jumps together if thats the case. C-ya. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  19. Might as well just buy a Vector 3. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  20. It will definately be tough at first but you will get the hang of it. I'm sure that it will fit. Just let someone show you their technique and give it a shot. Its much easier than spending tons of pack jobs trying to figure it out yourself. Good luck. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  21. I didn't jump at all this weekend. Whats wrong with me you ask? A lot. But I decided that I would rather not freeze my hands off in the 35 degree weather. Plus I didn't want to spend a bunch of money. And to top it off I wanted to spend the weekend with my girlfriend. I guess I'm going soft. Thats ok. This weekend I'm gonna tear up some head-down with my friends and burn holes in the sky. Its gonna be jammin. Watch it be cloudy or something like that. Ok, I think I might have just jinxed my entire region with that remark. I'll shut up now. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  22. I had some skydiving in my dream last night. It was made up partly of a shark documentary that I was in (Don't know why but it was very cool and freaky. We were hunting huge sharks and people were getting eaten.) and kept flashing back to skydiving disasters. It was video footage of skydivers getting hit by jets, low cutaways, canopy wraps, collisions, plane crashes, double malfunctions and every other bad thing that you can think of. They weren't real things that happened but they sure looked real in my dream. It was weird because it was like I was watching a documentary and they were showing all this really bad stuff. No it wasn't Sports Disasters either. I'll spare the details because I remember a whole lot. Its weird too because I just saw on rec.skydive today about this story where this guy was partially ejected from his jet and his canopy got stuck in the horizontal stablizers. Coincidence?? I think so. Still cool though. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  23. Does it ever!! It really does make a huge difference. My new Vector 3 rocks all. Just thought I would throw that in there. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  24. A little early for ellipticals don't you think? Maybe a few semi-ellipticals like Lisa suggested. You could always go for the classic stilletto but I don't have any experience to tell with it. Its just another canopy suggestion. Have fun!! Safe landings, Alex D-23912
  25. Yeah, and have you ever seen someone pack a base canopy? You think packing is tough, you should see that. There is like 40 steps(just guessing), plus you use clamps and stuff like that. Its like packing a reserve everytime you use it. Safe landings, Alex D-23912
