The lowest pull for me was around 1700'. Good thing it opened fast!! I have had a whole bunch of off DZ landings, the furthest being about 2 miles. They can be fun sometimes, but only on those slow days at the DZ. Safe landings, Alex D-23912

I have heard good things about a hornet. I have also jumped my sabre a lot. I still don't understand the whole hard opening thing. I have never been slammed. Its true that a hornet is much newer and maybe a little bit more stable. I would say you should test jump them both. Safe landings, Alex D-something

I do! Just kidding! That would not be cool. I don't know about BASE though. Maybe.... Safe landings, Alex D-something

I have never packed myself a malfunction but I have packed one for someone else. It was a hard pull. She did ok with it. Sorry. It was actually supposed to be for me to jump but it didn't work out that way. Ooops. I am not going to purposely give myself a malfunction but I wish one would hurry up and get here. I don't want to go too long without proving to myself that I can handle the situation when it comes. I longer that it takes, the less prepared I will be for it, even though I am always waiting. I guess I am better off without one though. Safe landings, Alex D-something

A hook turn does have a definition. It is considered as any turn exceeding 90 degrees or any turn in which the centrifugal force swings you out at more than a 45 degree angle from below the canopy. I think thats all of it but there might be a little more. Safe landings, Alex D-something

I thought the purpose for the center hole is to allow air to escape from the canopy so that it will stay inflated. If the air doesnt escape then the canopy will overflow and fall off of the mass of air rammed inside of it. Will someone please verify this? Safe landings, Alex D-something

I'm just the opposite. I never have time to read them all. Stop posting so much people. Seriously though! How do you guys keep up? Safe landings, Alex D-something

I have a '87 Honda Accord LXI Hatchback. I love it. In 2 years I have already blown the transmission, replaced the master cylinder, replaced the alternater and exhaust system, fixed my front axel twice, replaced a missing bolt in my engine, and went through about 8 tires. I know that there is more but I just can't think of it right now. Inspite of all of that, I still love the car. The engine runs great! Safe landings, Alex D-something

A kill-line PC will most likely deploy your canopy even if its not cocked as long as your closing loop isnt too tight. Don't try it though. But it is possible. It has happened to me before a few times. Scary stuff. Safe landings, Alex D-something

People do 170' base jumps all the time. A little low for me but hey, might as well. Safe landings, Alex D-something

I think that everyone here should make a shirt that says "Dropzone.com, Cacophony" with your name on there, that way we could tell who we are through the huge crowds of people. What do you guys think? I'm probably gonna do that so at least you guys will know who I am. Safe landings, Alex D-something

So here is me story. On a jump today a girl had a malfunction. It was a hard pull. She ended up being under her reserve pretty close to me and I saw her free-bag in plain sight. My first thought was to follow it. My second thought was to catch it. So I caught it!! Right in my lines!! Oooops!! It was ok though, there was just a little drag that I had to compensate for. Excellent standup landing and everything. I had mixed responses when I landed. Some thought it was cool and others though it was stupid. It probably was stupid and thats ok with me. Just thought I would pass the word out to you guys to not catch a free-bag in your lines. Godspeed!! Safe landings, Alex D-something

The bigger the hair the better. I love stuff from th 80s. I also like a lot of older metal. Some of my favorite bands are Megadeth, Dream Theater, Metallica, Queensryche, Judas Priest, Yngwie Malmsteen, Rammstein, Vinnie Moore, Pantera, Ozzy... the list goes on. Safe landings, Alex D-something

I don't know about the customer service for a Skytronic Pro but I can tell you that it is a great audible! Its very accurate and loud. Since it has a LCD display, you can check to see if it is reading the same as your wrist mount. Plus it makes it much easier to set. It has small increments as well which lets you fine tune your warnings to exactly where you want them. I definately recommend it. Safe landings, Alex D-something

Hmmm. This is something that I need to work on too. Try starting on your back and straightening out your legs. Bring your arms perpendicular to your body(straight out to the sides). This worked for me last time. I have yet to try it since though. Good luck! Safe landings, Alex D-something

Rock on!!! Great job. Sounds like you went through a whole lot of crap, but it paid off didn't it!! Welcome to the world of being a licensed skydiver. It only gets better from here on out. Looks like you owe some more beer. Safe landings, Alex D-something

Thanks guys!! I think the problem with my posts has been the fact that I have been using Netscape 6 and it sucks! Anyone else here use Netscape 6? I didn't change anything on it and it would still do that. I just don't know. Hopefully it won't do that anymore. If it does let me know and I'll blow up my computer or something. I'm sure that would teach it a lesson. Safe landings, Alex C-30872

Hey Wingnut, you actually jumped Greene Counties rental gear!! Not me my friend© No way!! I was there with my friend last year and they gave him the worst looking rig© I told him that he could jump it if he wanted too, but that I wouldn't jump something like that© The main was way to big for the container and the deployment bad© A JM who works there¥who will remain nameless¤ said that it was fine© Well, he ended up having 2 canopies out on the second jump with that rig© Not good© Nice DZ but I would certainly choose Skydive Greensburg over Skydive Greene County any day© Sorry for getting a little off the subject guys© Safe landings, Alex C-30872

For anyone who cares, I got my D license!! Now, all that I need is my PRO rating© That one will take a little while© Be safe people© Safe landings, Alex C-30872
