Can you please bicker in your own thread? Almost 20% of the posts in this thread are you guys bickering. You both posted thoughtful responses on the topic. Please stay with the topic as a favor to the rest of us. Here is the topic starter post. Please stay with the topic. Thanks in advance, take care, space "Skydiving gear skydiver, complete with collapsible PC, Sabre 170 and 2sec delay from ITW the weekend before the last (7-8th of Oct) weekend. There were 2, I did not hear which canopy the other jumped but that he did the same delay with a collapsible. What shall we do? Shall we do anything? What should you do if you see anyone with this config gearing up at the exit point? Should we do anything? Thanks in advance for your input. Take care, space

Try this. Just joking.

After reading the replies, I realize that the we as group have a chance to become exactly what we (old timers) were always against. It reminds me of the joke: "What is a Conservative? It´s a Liberal 20yrs later.". It´s about the freedom to choose our own risks and not have them dictated to us. We were the crazy ones 25yrs ago. RW jumpers were the crazy ones 50yrs ago. Skydivers were the crazy ones XXyrs ago, etc. Each offshoot will either, grow or wither and die. Education is the key. I personally watched 2 skydivers die 3yrs apart (#38 and #39) on BASE jumps. Same exact scenario. Same exact results right down to the point of impact. I am trying to find the silver lining behind this cloud. Maybe the silver lining is that if enough people do jump with skydiving gear and die that this would be enough to end the trend or vice versa, it might be a viable option. Now thats food for thought. hmmmmm, take care, space

My recollection of what I saw. (UncleCharlie can elaborate) High experienced wingsuit jumper (great friend also), initiated deployment around 250m, PC extended to what appeared to be full bridle length, then went back in the burble and then did not reinflate on the next extension. From my perspective, the canopy fell out of the rig and floated in his burble and inflated just as the jumper passed below the trees' height. It looked to me as if the jumper flared his flight just before pulling as opposed to pulling in full flight though I could be mistaken. Take care, space

Please kick his address to me also. he doesn't owe me any money either but I miss his southern accent and did my first span with him well before the turn of the century. take care, space

I won't judge you for that but suffice to say I see nothing good in graphic images of people being blown away by persons with high tech weaponry. I actually didn't see anything amazing either though I admit that I only watched the first clip. Unarmed people against well armed people with megacalibre machine guns. Who do you think is going to win? What is good or amazing about it? Is the cute little kid edited in to show that soldiers have hearts too whilst they attempt to blast a populace into submission? Well cry me a river. Ain't that sweet! Life is sacred, and when its not treated as such it gets contagious because if you kill your enemy, his son will take his place, over and over again. One wins nothing but an enemy with a different face and more determination. Enjoy your violent videos softened up with happy little children to soften the reality. take care, space

Although I can see him waving a rag or something my computer has not the resolution as yours. I really can´t see a RPG. I can´t see that any of them are armed. I only see that the clip shows shooting unarmed civilians in the dark. What do Nazis have to do with it?
-
The scary thing is that it was AOL instant messaging.
-
Wow, They can shoot unarmed civilians in the dark.

Downtown Base-Jumping Parachutists Charged Misdemeanors For Unidentified Men (STNG) CHICAGO Chicago Police charged three people with misdemeanors Saturday in connection to a daredevil stunt earlier this week where two men jumped from a downtown crane and parachuted to the ground.

Ummmm.... It is posted by someone with one jump and no clue according to his profile? Ok, what do I win? take care, space

Quote: Cops seek urban parachutists By Dan P. Blake Tribune staff reporter Published September 29, 2006, 7:09 AM CDT Chicago police this morning are looking for two parachutists who jumped from a skyscraper construction crane in the city's Streeterville neighborhood — the second such stunt in just over a week. Security cameras captured the two people as they floated down in Cityfront Plaza just east of Tribune Tower, one block off Michigan Avenue, around 4:30 a.m. Then, the jumpers get into a gray Porsche SUV and drive off.

But that tension changes due to things like: pulling stable, pulling unstable. Are these guys pulling on their back? Note: I am coming from a no reserve mentality. take care, space

Short of making this a poll, can you tell me some things about the jump scenario. Delay. Pin or Velcro? Tracking or static deployment? Deep Brake Setting Opinion. Primary stow number of wraps? Small mesh or big mesh? Vented canopy? Thanks in advance, take care, space
-
I think that this is one of the best tracks I've seen. It's all in the training. take care, space
-
I agree with your observations. Extended FF (slider up 5r's or more) are a different beast. The slider must stay up until after line stretch for a smooth opening. 1 wrap may allow this. 2 wraps insure. 3 wraps seems pointless. What diff did you notice in slider down with and without the primary stow? take care, space
-
I find that a modified fetal (arms somewhat out) is the best exit for tracking. You start rotating and then kick everything out just before you rotate into the track angle . Kicking out stops your rotation. I'll search for a foto. plus it feels natural take care, space

Primary stow one wrap? Who the hell taught you that crap? One wrap aint much better than no primary stow. Check your sources. take care, space
