Had to brag a little... I asked for help the other day with this (thanks again guys!) and ya all were right...PDF/X was going to take more then a couple days to figure out. However, I did get a trial copy (full) of the Adobe InDesign and did up their ad for them. It went to someone she finally (magazine lady) told me they used to do proofs and such who took what I made in InDesign and fixed it up to their specs. So what I'm getting at is I'm going to have an ad published in a contemporary design magazine. It's very simple though, and they were pretty specific about what they wanted, so I didn't get to play with it as much as I'd have liked, but it was a learning experience nonetheless. I did it as my graduation jump...granted it was at around 30 jumps (I sucked at falling stable). Loved it, did it twice :) Can't wait to try again! Pammi

Thanks, appreciate it! I'm all for having someone else do it...I'm certainly not getting paid for it. I can't hire anyone cuz it's not for me, but I can recommend it. *shrug* If I don't figure it out I guess that's what they'll have to do. I'm just trying to help someone out so they don't end up in a jam from cheap-a$$ bosses who expect too much and won't understand (sounds crazy but I'm serious) when this person says they can't do it. It's like I told Merrick this morning....I love these people who expect me to pull a monkey outta my butt on cue. My boss told me just before I left to get him reservations at a top NYC restaurant for THIS Saturday after the theater. The same man who's too broke to give me a raise (not had one since I started) or benefits will spend $300-600 on a bottle of wine. Long story as short as possible, I've been 'volunteered' to do a big fancy-schmancy ad ... and I have a matter of days to do it. I'm frantically searching for what I need to do it, and what the hell they are talking about when they give the specifications. It mentions Quark and Illustrator (neither of which I've ever even seen! ACK!) EPS files are not acceptable, that it needs to be in PDF/X format (then lists specifics). I know, I know...it's insane...but I know I can figure this out. I've done crazier things :) I'm researching it on the web, but if anyone can give me a quick rundown in English that'd be great :) Thanks! Pam

Just curious how many people will continue downloading music, how many will quit and how many will actually purchase mp3's at those other sites instead. Thanks for the recipe! It's VERY handy to have. You can look around on Allrecipes.com and get some good ones. This sounds weird, but if you get some turkey sausage, ketchup and grape jelly it turns out really well. The best ever investment I've made is the George Foreman grill. We used the last one my mom got me up...it was a cheaper brand so it didn't last as long or work as well, but we bought a new one because we use it dang near every day with us trying to eat healthy which means LOTS of chicken. I also got one of those silly choppers like they sell at the mall last weekend that chops up dang near anything while you pound the top of it. With my grill and that chopper I made homemade chicken salad with my own stuff so it is healthier. :) I don't know if P.F. Chang's is known elsewhere then Raleigh, but they have a lettuce wrap that's they're rather known for with chopped chicken and such in it that I found a good recipe for if anyone wants it. Pammi

I've totally stayed away from this thread for two reasons...one is that it's too friggin' long to read the whole damn thing! GEEZ! Just kidding...it's a really cool thread :) I just never have enough time to read very many of them anymore! The other reason is I couldn't possibly list everyone I'd like to meet from on here. There are a few of the 'old originals' I have yet to meet that I'd really like to, there's a few people I've met that I'd like to see again (Freaksis in particular) and a LOT of more recent people that I've just begun talking to or have gotten some really sweet PM's from. Merrick and I have met a ton already, not nearly what we would've liked since he went and broke himself at Quincy (just kidding!) and we haven't been back yet. But hopefully soon we can get back! It's always around our anniversary so it's like an ongoing anniversary trip plan whenever we can pull it off again :) We've talked to a lot of people through the jewelry too. I know some scoop on a lot of ya all :) I need faces for the details! Hehe. Just couldn't pass the thread up completely after several mentioned my name :) I was so touched! Ditto. Worked fine for me at home, I have DSL through Sprint there, but still down here at work (Road Runner). I'm unfortunately the office manager person of sorts so everyone is wanting it fixed, but I'm wondering if it's worth the phone call to Road Runner to say, "Hey, everything's working but MSN." Especially if it's a nationwide thing. Edit: Here's something I found on the Road Runner site..shoulda checked there yesterday!
