  1. Good for her!! She's lucky to have a Mom supporting her so much and encouraging her to go for what she wants! Congrats to both of you! Sorry I'm late getting in on this thread...I think they cut me off at work...hardly any pages will load, yet some are still quick...how weird. DZ.com won't come up at all anymore tho! Pammi
  2. Fantastic Jessica! You'll have to keep us updated on what's good coming out. I go through books the way some do cigarettes!
  3. Too funny guys! Thanks for the laugh, especially when I needed reminders on why NOT to kill the kids!

    TRULY sucks

Sweet! *opening Mapquest...can't be too far!* Sir eh...oh, I thought that was just Merrick and I's game Pammi

    Lawyers

Hmm...depends on the moment you ask me about my boss/lawyer. He can be an amazing asshole, but every once in a while he impresses me. This isn't my first job I've had working as a legal assistant and I guarantee (sorry if there's a lawyer out there reading this) that they are ALL babies needing their hands held! Drives me nuts, but gives you good job security when they can't find their ass with both hands! Pammi

    TRULY sucks

Having a helicopter hover directly over your office for 10 mins, while it's 80 degrees out and blue skies. The girls just don't get it when I try to say that I can't help staring out the window at it... Pammi
  7. It's not like we live far away! LOL!
  8. Yup..and it's almost main stream enough now that people don't gasp as loudly when I tell them It's like all things, IMO, you have to take the chance to get a chance eh? It doesn't always work out..I dated a guy from online for a year before Merrick and got totally trashed by that one....horrible, nasty business....but then I won the lotto *shrug* You're such a sweetie, and a hottie too, it'll definately happen when it's time...sounds corny, but I believe it's true Pammi
  9. I love Strong Bad..hehe. My kids flip out watching it, too!
  10. Hey girl! Don't give up! You can meet some really great people from online...and eventually people even stop giving you a hard time for meeting them as well I agree with Kriss, I think it's just the way of things. I was a huge online chatter a while back (during my unhappily married years) and after a while, people always seemed to kind of drift off into some great abyss. It's kinda like here on DZ.com where most of us first-timers have either shut-up or wondered off (even Freaksis rarely talks with us anymore). If they fade away, then it's probably because being strickly online friends is harder to keep up then seeing someone in person. I even tend to lose track with past co-workers if we both don't make efforts to keep in touch...But I read something once about how there are always going to be friends that are strickly for those certain times in your life. Like some that are the 'high school' friends that you outgrow, then some that are for that time when you got divorced and you needed someone to commiserate and go hot-tubbing naked with, etc, etc...but very few that last a lifetime. Kinda sad, but it makes it easier to enjoy being friends with these people while the time is now knowing that, and easier to not take it personally when you grow apart and go on just naturally. I've met a ton of people from on here, a few more from chats or whatever, then of course my husband. So, on the other hand, when you actually meet someone you click with in a big way, it can be a very good thing! If you really want to make sure you don't lose track of someone, make sure you talk on the phone frequently too. It helps make it more real, at least to me. And if I haven't heard from them in a while, I try to email or just say hi now and again, catch up, and just let them know I still think of them. PM me anytime! Pammi
  11. yep....id have the computer on when ya try to download it though LOL!! Smartass
  12. BTW..that's the coolest picture of you, Amy, with the canopy! Pammi
  13. Yes, very much so :)
  14. Great pics Kris!! Oh, and note the monkey hat I'm holding in that last group shot (Whoops, forgot about that crotch grab shot...truly was IN FRONT of him, not really...... REALLY! )
  15. I haven't read all through the 10 pages of this thread, but I'm just seeing this so can someone answer something for me? If you are on DSL connected all the time, is that a problem at all? I'd love to help out and join, but I've never heard of SETI before, so I'm trying to read through so I understand all of how this works. I think I grasp the basics of it though. Download the program, turn on the computer and .... well, that's it Right? Pammi
  16. Oh gawd, I'd be more likely to freak out if my kids came home yuppies then pierced!
  17. Hey, you didn't even notice it until she told you :) No biggie. It's better then a tattoo. I don't care if my kids get any of that, but if they get a tattoo, they'll get a little more lecturing then a piercing because it's permanant, whereas a piercing is not. If that's the worst she does, consider yourself an amazing parent!! Geez, I hope my parents don't blame themselves for my mistakes...those poor people! Pammi
  18. Ah thanks! I didn't see this before :) So sorry we 'interupted' your evening the other night You're going to have to try to make it up this way yourself sometime soon! Pammi
  19. I'm thinking that now I just need to get her into it as well, then perhaps time off work on pretty days? Pammi
  20. Using polished hemps help, all the little loose threads are smoothed down, but it makes it a little stiffer as well. Regardless of the hemp used, tho, it will get softer if it gets wet a few times. The only downside of that is it's a thread, so like, for instance, a t-shirt..the more often it gets wet the more 'worn' it looks too. Wear it in the shower a couple times only and it should help soften it up and smooth the 'scritchy' threads down some. I think Val's right, they've debated the way the pin points several times on here. I generally put the lobster clasp on the right side since most people are right-handed but Merrick and I don't really put the pin facing any set direction; you can just turn it over and fasten it from the left and the pin will point the other way instead if you wanted to though. Pammi
  21. I think they are sexy myself, as long as it isn't a huge bull-ring. I had a nice stud for a long time or a small, very thin hoop, and it wasn't often noticed at first glance. Had to take it out to get a job here in NC though since I'm back doing legal work I miss it! I'd love to have an eyebrow ring as well, but would probably do one or the other so I didn't look like a pin-cushion :) BTW...the whole snot factor is bologne. To be totally straight and gross, the ONLY thing annoying about it at all is that if you have the nose screw, sometimes you'll get a booger on the wire, but it's not more annoying then having it somewhere else in your nose. It doesn't cause MORE, at least it didn't for me and even if you did take it out, which you couldn't for long because it grows closed quickly, nothing is going to come out of that tiny little hole..that's silly.
  22. I may be out of a job soon! LOL! My boss's hubby wanted to do a jump after hearing about me jumping, so I sent him up to CSS to get a tandem last weekend. He loved it and is going back. The problem is, he isn't telling his wife (my boss) and wanted me to tell him about how to do the student progression. LOL! She's not going to be pleased! Pammi
  23. Oh nearly forgot, Merrick's new nickname is 'booty-booty' Some chick last weekend called him that and I about cracked up. It is one of his best 'assets' tho... Pammi
