  3. Those are kickass vids Wingnut! Wow! And those are your first times flying a camera? Now you got me looking forward to when I can try it one day even more! Glad to know you are okay! Pretty sore, I'd imagine though. Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
  4. ROFL!!! Exactly Emma! I too was a geek all through high school (at least that long, and then some! hehe) and now wish I was MORE of a geek...the computer kind! Computer geek=more money=more jumps=kickass gear! Thank heavens Merrick is geeky enough for gear for both of us!! Hehe! 5. Okay, so I'm in a rather emotional mood this morning (no, it's not PMS...this time! hehe) but I was just thinking of how long I've been posting her at DZ.com and how we were telling a new student about this forum last weekend. We highly recommended it to her as a place to really talk about things, get ideas, opinions and most of all support! Not just about skydiving either! When Mom was very ill and in the hospital for an entire month, I even had people emailing me privately, through Merrick and on here with their touching support. I just want to thank Sangiro and all of those who helped me during my rather difficult progression! A scarred arm, several practice pulls, a low pull, horrible landings, new gear....you've all shared them with me and helped me when I wanted to just say *Screw it! I'm done!* I've made some really good friends here and now get to jump regularly with another very sweet, beautiful person whom I may have never met without this forum from Dallas! Gee, wonder who that could be! Love you Sis! Now I finally feel like a 'real' skydiver...jumping with whomever I like, trying out formations, jumping my own gear...it's all just so much more fun now then ever before! I'm so glad that I stuck with it! I couldn't have done it without all of my friends at the DZ, here, and most of all Merrick. Dropzone.com rocks!! I'm done being mushy now :) The unimaginatively nicknamed - Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

    What a weekend!

Thanks Kris :) It's definately been a LONG progression, but thank heavens for Merrick and you guys at the DZ!! Without you guys spending so much time with me, and giving me the moral support I so desparately needed I would've ended up giving up long ago. Thanks so much Kris. You are such a wonderful person *hugs* Yeah Sis, since you get to jump all weekend and I get to go 'play' with the ex in court this Friday! What a waste of a perfectly good weekend! LOL!! Between your legs?? How do you know if someone's above you then? Love ya too hun! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
  7. Well, I guess I'll put this here! This thread was started twice somehow :) Sounds like he was being a kid. He did something perhaps he shouldn't have and it should be handled appropriately, as with any such situation. I take my kids to the DZ sometimes and other then people toning down their language a bit if they happen to be standing there, nothing much changes and neither have they. Same with a good friend of mine who also takes her two kids to the DZ from time-to-time. I'm trying to teach my kids that regardless of what they see, they are not adults and can not do/say everything they see/hear, at the DZ or elsewhere, or even what they see other kids doing. Their choices will have consequences and rewards, whatever is appropriate. The fact that Joey or his dad Joe said or did it first means nothing to me and they know this. I hope they will grow up to make the right decisions regardless of influences, and the DZ is definately not on the top ten list of ones I'm worried about. I try to set as good of an example as I can for them, be honest whenever they have questions, set firm bounderies and hope for the best! Just my view :) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

    What a weekend!

ROFLMAO @ Skreamer! I wouldn't hold my breath on that! hehe! Yeah, I'm not quite as nice to the Sabre as I was my Tri...cursing it and threatening it. But I told it I was sorry and blew a 'zerbert' on her to make her happy while I was squishing out the air. She seemed to like it, went right into the bag after that! LOL! I LOVE when you come up Sis! It's a blast! I'm glad we got to jump together finally! We gotta get a three-way now with Merrick! (Think Merrick can track away from both of us in our circle tracks? Hehe!) Nah, they love when you come up...as you can tell by all the shit they give you about the accent. LOL! "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
  9. LOL! Which one? We love ya hun! Glad you are okay! "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
  10. I think her opening was good Kris, but did you see her landings? hehe! Just teasing girl! 36 jumps later I'm just now landing on my feet! "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
  11. Wow Joolee! That's so cool! I haven't even tried freeflying yet! I want to eventually, but have just gotten stable for heaven's sake, so am not quite ready to throw myself unstable again! Hehehe. You'll have to ask Merrick about his sit-fly attempt! It was pretty funny from what I heard. But it's all good eh? So it's tradition to kiss??? Didn't know that...I guess I owe Tony a kiss since he coached me!!! LOL! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

    What a weekend!

Well, I hope not *all* the way to the ground baby! LOL! Skreamer, as you can see, I barely got my damn kiss, besides getting anything else! But I'm woman enough to take what I want if it's not being openly given, so I took my kiss anyway! Hehe! Joolee...I'm loving my Sabre 135! I have to admit, I was very nervous, as was some of the others at the DZ I think, about my flying such a small thing even tho I really am only loading it 1.2 to 1, pretty normal. But I have to say I absolutely loved it! I love my Triathlon too, but when I got it I was skeptical I would actually lose any weight, which I did some, then I bought something kinda big because I knew my landings sucked and didn't want to hurt myself too bad but ended up almost underloading it! And it just flies differently then the Sabre...not bad at all, I still will jump it sometimes I imagine until it's sold, but I prefer my little Sabre now (except at packing time...that Triathlon is WAY easier to pack!!) Thanks Diva :) I truly am very very lucky and blessed to have a skydiving man like Merrick who's so good to me. I musta done something really good in a past life :) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

    What a weekend!

Oh what a fabulous weekend!! 6 jumps total, and all of them were just kick-ass! Even got a free one from the DZ owner, Mike, for Mom's day...what a sweetie! Let's see...first two way that wasn't a coach dive for practice Saturday, then jumped my new canopy Sunday for the 'first' time and loved it! Went back up immediately with my other rig (the Tri 160 - that's way cool having two rigs for a short time to be able to jump! hehe) and did a four-way with Merrick, Larry (another great guy at our DZ) and Bob Clark, an absolutely amazing skydiver. Was very nervous and honored to have him in my first four-way (oohh..did I say 'first' again?) Kinda went to hell, but it was fun anyway and a very learning experience! Jumped with the Freaksis for the 'first' time on the next jump then did another four-way and got my 'first' kiss pass with Merrick!! (Oh, there I go again with the firsts!). I can even stand up my landings on the new canopy!! And know what else...I swooped it a little too!! It was amazing and so much fun!! What a great weekend :)) Just had to share! Blue ones!! I'm so spoiled!

That Flying Dog shit was nasty Kris! That's what I get for trying something new cuz of the picture on the bottle (and the 'do it doggy style' on the label) LOL! I'll stick to the Corona's! What a weekend it was Kris! I'm not sure what'd I'd done so far until you left but ended up with 4 jumps on Sunday, got my kiss pass with Merrick and actually swooped my new canopy a bit then stood it up! Kick ass!! I'll be gone this weekend tho :( *sniffle* Oh well...will give our wallet a break for one weekend! LOL! Pammi (Oh, sorry about the tattoo licking thing...perhaps next time we'll make it up and let you see her lick the one on my chest rather then my shoulder :) LOL!) 15. They are sending another Pro-Track? Boy those guys are awesome! That's amazing! I'm so glad you are okay Skreamer! I think it's kind of like car accidents...they say you will have an 'awakening' experience and some sort of accident at some point in your life...you just have to hope that it's a mild one you can learn from and not get too hurt! Skydiving seems to be the same...everyone has something happen that slaps them out of their cockiness and says, "Hey...respect me dammit!". I've had mine...and I actually worry about when Merrick will get his one day. Perhaps a pessimistic attitude, but I just feel that if you jump long enough you'll eventually have a brain fart Fly safe everyone! Execution

Against my better judgement also, I am only going to say that if people had done to them what they've done to others' only then can they come close to understanding the depth of their actions. I think getting a shot and going to sleep is a far cry from what the people getting it have usually done to their victim(s) and their families. If it had been one my children in that daycare, they'd have to lock him up to keep him safe from me. Just my personal feelings. 20. From what I've heard Gizzerr, bungee jumping can be more scary then skydiving even...ground rush and all. I don't know because I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. However, regardless, don't worry about it if your nervous or scared. I have known at least two people who've really wanted to try it, but it took them forever to tell us that they were a little scared about it and that was part of what was holding them back. They didn't think they should be feeling that way...that they weren't 'brave enough' or something. Whatever! I was scared shitless the first time! And the second, and a few after that. Hehe! You get more used to the door, less scared and start having more fun the more your mind begins to accept that "yes, you are throwing your body out of that door" and you start figuring out how to do it somewhat gracefully ... at least can make yourself do pretty much what you intended. It's all amazing, fun, calming, stress-relieving, beautiful...so many things. And the accomplishment you feel from overcoming your fears to pursue your dream of flight! Kickass! My .02 :) Good luck! I'm so spoiled!

ROFL! Tell ya what, you can buy me some jump tickets and I'm sure that'll help towards renewing it :) hehe I think the Sis might be coming up at least in time to get dunked in the lake by Tony with us. We may all have to make a trip to the Sis's part of the world sometime soon too so I can check it out if I can ever hit anywhere close to that damn target! LOL! Haha! I'd like to think so! That shoulda been my first clue that he was a loser and got rid of him long before I did! LOL @ Sis! You know I'll never be able to hear "Kirby" again without thinking about that! I'm sorry, but life is way too short to not find someone your sexually compatible with! It's way too sensitive of a subject between men and women anyway without it becoming an issue between couples. Someone's bound to get hurt! If you couldn't care less how often you get it, then find someone else who feels the same! Likewise if you're into freaky circus sex or doing it in a theater (hehe..thanks Merrick), find someone who's also into that, or at least open to the idea! [climbing off my soapbox] Besides, sex is just for fun! It shouldn't be taken so seriously! It's like someone said about skydiving...it's not your friggin job...just have a good time! Oh, btw, back to the original reason for the thread...that was friggin hilarious!! And Kris...Sandscript eh? Now we know the reason behind the girlies who just can't take a 'no' and stick around like lovesick puppy dogs eh? Blue skies and good times! Ah, I'm sorry Cyber! I actually had a similar thing said to me once "you think I'm just a piece of meat?!" You need a skydiving woman! I'm sure you've heard that before though! "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
