What fun!! Left work and headed straight to the DZ for a nice long weekend. Got 6 jumps in, even with a packed house of students and tandems. Did some CRW (pulled off a bi-plane!! Next up...downplane!), some fun RW, a sit-train (even held a sit by myself for a few seconds facing Merrick, who was also in a sit, after we broke away from our 'train'! THANKS KRIS!! That worked out great the way you told us to do that!!! ) and even some para-sailing!! We got shut down Saturday nights cuz of storms coming in that grounded the plane, so we got inventive with a big canopy, some rope and a pickup truck! That was awesome!! Nothing like being a human kite! Oh, and passed my A test! As soon as I get all my stuff filled out and faxed in, I'll be 'official'. What a great time. Skydiving, partying, para-sailing, freeflying, CRW...phew, I'm tired.

Merrick and I also use Pro-dytter's and Z1's. Fits just fine! I have it get pushed up every once in a while (towards my face) which kinda pokes at me when I put my helmet on, but I just open the face mask and push it back a little with my finger and it's fine. Sounds like a wild and fun weekend!!! Sis, I and Merrick had some fun Saturday night also :) Had a great time out partying...and for the record...telling a rude gentleman who won't who won't back off from your friend you're her girlfriend and gonna kick his a$$ seems to work! Hehe :) So what's up with the rabbit??? I have a battery operated one myself that hasn't been necessary since Merrick and I moved in together, but was a fun gift until then :) You enjoyed one of those too eh Skreamer? Or was this more of the warm fuzzy variety? EW! "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Hey now... no fair...you're much better then me at 'left-field' posts...remember, the nick is Pammi...I'm not that imaginative! Well, if I just get a few more at least I'll be pathetic, er, I mean an addict. :) "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick -

LOL @ Sis....now I told you to quit spreading rumors about me that I was a nice girl! Shame! "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick -
You're soooooo sweet Tee!! I thought it was a pretty funny look myself! Bedhead looking stuff! I actually have been growing it out and leaving it straight just so it is easy to just brush out after having a helmet on. It's quite funny telling the hairdresser....okay, this has got to be simple since I'm gonna have a helmet on it all summer! As to the 'baby' :) I would, but Sangiro has that contest thingy going on in the Pub, so I sent him the pic I had of her :) You'll have to guess which one it is when it's up! We'll just have to agree to disagree and not air it here. This is Sis's decision, and I'll bite my tongue and let her make it. "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick -
Hey thanks you guys! Our DZO is a master rigger, and my jump coach I believe might be...I know he is at least a Rigger. I'll let them know I'm interested and perhaps they'll let me watch when they do some reserves. Everyone's cool at my DZ about teaching you whatever, if you want to learn. And I'm in no hurry, just thought I might as well start learning since I'd like to do it eventually I think. I am the type to want to learn anything that someone is willing to teach me. Thanks again!! (def'ly would be weird jumping your own reserve pack at first!!) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

LOL! I'm always catty :) Well, perhaps it's more that I always speak my mind *shrug* No, no, I know what it is...I'm a bitch and forgiveness has never really been one of my strongest traits. 'Specially if it's someone I care about. However, Sis has a heart of gold and is much better at it then I am :/ And no, the rules haven't changed that I'm aware of, they've always been the same. Some just 'play' by them a little better then others. Or maybe just have a better understanding of them. Lack of maturity, tact and heart just annoys the hell outta me. Oh well, I can be polite. Only one person lost out in the game and it ain't the females (but of course ) hehe! "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick -
Okay, this is probably a really stupid question Palmetto, but are you a student at Princeton? "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Hmmm...we've had several good times already skydiving then going out haven't we Sis? *shrug* Guess it all has to do with the company you're with I guess. "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick -
This may be something that's been discussed before and I just missed it, but what sort of requirements could I expect to need to pass if I should decide I want to be a rigger eventually? Thanks! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Sorry Airann! I already snagged the only guy like that...he's not a freeflyer yet, but I expect him to be going to 'the dark-side' before too much longer. I'll keep an eye out for you and the Sis tho! :) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick -
Hey Merrick...don't get any ideas! YOU can pack and I'll jump! hehe Who knows, I've considered getting my rigger's license one day, but it kinda concerns me that if I did, I'd end up working the whole time at the DZ and not get to jump much :/ That's the only thing stopping me at this point! Website mom? LOL! Um, I have a website, yeah :) I actually have done a few 'semi-professionally' for a few small businesses back home, so I like doing them :) You can only read these threads so many times a day instead of working ya know! Hehe. But yeah, I have a personal one for Merrick and I. He even did a little on it (he works for the same company..go figure eh? Shhhh) So what about you Froggie girl? Gonna put one up?? Congrats on your rig Hotload!! I felt like I needed to say one thing though...be careful. I'm not sure what you're used to jumping, but if this is your first canopy off of student status, you might consider having someone help with some paddles or even a radio to show you where the flare is the first time. Also, it was recommended to me when I got both of my canopies and jumped them for the first time, to do a hop n' pop with it first. They said you don't want to introduce something new while also trying your first four-way (like I had been going to do). One thing at a time to concentrate on. Anyway...just my thoughts...be safe and ask someone you trust. Especially about two-stage flares if you haven't heard of that or done them before. You'll LOVE the Sabre, in my opinion. I absolutely started dreaming of it day and night after I flew mine! And as my good buddy Kris told me, be ready to surf whether you mean to or not if it's a no-wind/low wind day! I already got a little surf outta mine unintentionally on my fourth jump on it. Woohoo!! Have fun, be safe! Pammi Oh, and as to rolling it...I roll this shit outta the nose and tail both. Mine is practically new (40 jumps or so) and I've only had sweet openings. I didn't roll my Tri's nose at all, she opened perfectly without that, but I always roll the tail mostly to keep things nice and neat. Welcome!! Skydiving definately IS a bug...but one you don't want to get rid of either! You better prepare all friends and family to spend as much time with you as they can now before you start your student progression, cuz after that they won't be seeing ya much anymore! Terribly addictive...I need some AIR! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

So does this guy have any interest whatsoever in jumping? Or is he one of those "you're crazy" sort of whuffo's? I think that will foretell, along with his general outlook on life, whether he will be easy to convert or not. I myself don't think I could be with someone who didn't enjoy skydiving also simply because I spend so much time at the DZ and you KNOW it'll eventually be an issue once you're together very long. It's like this poor gal I got my new rig off of...she was very into skydiving, then she got married to a whuffo and I got a rig she'd just bought with only 35 or so jumps on it. Her loss, my gain...but her friend at the DZ is making predictions on how long it will be before she's sneaking off on him...not to mess around...to jump! Of course, I'm lucky enough to have Merrick who loves skydiving as much as myself...don't know what I might've done if I'd met him right now and he didn't want anything to do with skydiving. What a conflict! Good luck! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
