I actually would love to try it myself...it sounds like a lot of fun, but I'm not sure I want all my closest friends seeing 'all of me'! So perhaps I'll kick everyone out first and warn the pilot not to look :) I already told his girlfriend that if I do ever do it, I'll beat the crap outta him if he tries peaking. LOL! I'd prefer to keep the charade up that I actually look good under all of these clothes! We'll see tho... Definately talk to the DZO about it tho...A guy at our DZ did it for his 100th, which was fine, but he landed right up front in front of a bunch of students along with their families (mostly some older people). I made my pre-second jump at a new DZ last Friday and have to admit, I was scared shitless! I actually was quite comfortable to begin with..they were great there about showing us a good place to land, telling us how things should look from the air and so forth. I even walked out to the landing area just so I could check it out closer. Don't get me wrong, it was a blast! 12,500' is not a common thing for me, and it seemed to last sssoo long!! :) Okay, back to the subject tho. I opened high because I knew I'd need to have some 'room' to find the DZ under canopy. Merrick pulled a little lower, so I looked for him once open, but his canopy is fairly difficult for me to see from above. I started looking around and thinking "Where the hell am I?!" I knew what to look for but for some reason had a heck of a time actually finding it. I actually was a little freaked because I thought "Okay, if I can't find the damn thing how do I know which direction I should be flying BACK to it, because if I choose wrong, I'm gonna end up in Timbuktu!" I finally did find it, however, and managed to make it back okay, although a little further out then intended. I was amazed at how much I've apparently gotten used to where everything is at my DZ, and how it's not so easy to 'find' at a new one. Any tips? Thanks! Pammi Some newpics.

I hear ya! I'm kinda an animal freak...well, just about anything living freak, even bugs. I've only hit one thing before my 'incident', a squirrel, and it really brought me down. Then a couple weeks ago, I hit a bird on the way to the dz. The most horrible sound (it hit the windshield!!). Luckily Merrick knows me and immediately starting telling me how it wasn't my fault (another suicide mission it seemed!). It still seemed wrong! Especially since we were on our way to the DZ! Okay, I'm a freak, I admit it. Some newpics.

My deepest condolenses Geoff's family and friends. I actually had the priviledge of talking to him online a few times when I first started jumping about a year ago and he seemed to be a great guy. I doubt that anyone has information on this yet, but here is what we heard so far: We stopped at a new DZ for a jump in Kingman, KS on the way to visit family in Dodge City. Not long after we left there, my mom called panicked to see if we were okay. I'd told her what our plans were, and while watching the news, she'd heard that someone, a male in his mid-20's, had died while skydiving near Wichita. I believe it was at Air Capital Skydiving near Derby, just south of Wichita, and not the one we went to just west of Wichita an hour or so before. We watched the news when we got to Dodge City ourselves and all they had to say was that the parachute opened initially but was observed spinning. That's it! I'm sure there is more to the story then this simple explanation, but regardless, our deepest condolences to the family and friends of this unknown skydiver. Pammi Some newpics.

First thing I said when I got down was, "I can't believe I forgot how much fun this is!!" I can't wait to hear about it!!! Cool JT! We should be down there both of those weekends! We're missing this weekend for Father's Day, but will be back out there the next. And June 30th we're gonna be doing water training after we're done jumping for the day also, so if you still need that (you'll have to have it for your B license) let me know and I'll put you on the sign up sheet. We're all just gonna pitch in towards the $100 boat rental (there are like 8 of us or so so far, so won't be much!) then perhaps ski and such afterwards. Sis might be coming up for that too, she wasn't sure yet. Anyway, definately email us if you are gonna make it and we'll watch out for ya. Just a small word of warning, have patience. We have one, occassionally two Cessnas, so depending on students and some other things, you may get to jump tons before the students really get started, or you may sit around waiting for loads some too. Dipshit, you know the guy, I've bitched about him here before, has decided to fight some more about visitations and custody issues *sigh* So guess what that means?! We may have to say "bye-bye" to Quincy this year because of the insane amount of money we had to put down for an attorney for his retaining fee! I fucking hate that man!
