I probably would've lost my stomach for real! LOL! The pilot teases me from time-to-time cuz he knows how I hate when it's really bumpy or the thought of landing! I was teasing him last weekend to 'keep his hands on the wheel' cuz he was writing something on his notepad when I looked up at him and he just laughed. He told me that he can fly with his feet too, then showed me by dipping to the right and left. ARGH! Okay! I believe you! hehe Definately prefer being OUT of the plane! LOL! Of course, I get naseous on a damn swing, so doesn't take much :) Thank heavens I don't throw up easily! Pammi Some new pics.

I just usually call her sweetheart. It's kinda amusing when Merrick answers and I tell him I wasn't talking to him... I called my main 'bitch' for the first time last weekend (I generally won't because I don't want to hurt her feelings) but it just kind of slipped out after a particularly bad twisty opening. I immediately apologized and gave her an extra 'zerbert' while packing her the next time to further make amends :) Pammi Some new pics.

I hear ya Zen. I think that's why a lot of people end up trying the whole freeflying thing. You're not messing up anyone else's jump is you do something wrong and there's a lot less pressure to it. That's kinda why I tried a couple of sitflies already. I suck at those too, but hey, who cares. I feel bad when I screw up an RW dive though. Luckily, the people at our DZ are all good natured about it and are always trying to tell you what you did RIGHT, then the pointers about how you can improve. I want to try some more freeflying for sure, but I'm also not ready to give up RW. I *do* like the comraderie of doing a jump with my friends, and the way it challenges my entire being, my mind AND body. Then there's CReW. Woohoo! That's the shit! LOL! Anyway, I guess my taste in flying is like my taste in music....depends on my mood :) Don't give up Zen. Have fun with freeflying, but I guess I'm a belly-flyer at heart because I'd hate to see you give it up completely. It sure feels good when you start figuring out what moves do what or swooping (or trying to in my case) down to someone is a blast! I hope to learn all I can about what my body can do in the air in all positions! Just remember, that's the fun of skydiving :) Don't let anyone make you feel like crap because it didn't go as planned. If they are, definately find someone else to jump with that understands you're still learning and we're just trying to have fun for heaven's sake! (BTW, I'm very tired still and not quite coherent so I hope this post makes sense!

My baby was injured this weekend :( Now she has a skydiving-related scar just like her mom's. Actually, she is being rushed to the 'hospital' today so may come back good as new without scars, unlike myself

Good grief! That sucks!! (to put it mildely eh??) Sorry to hear it was such a crappy time. Pammi Some new pics.

Very cool! I can't wait until I have enough experience to do demos...that'd be a blast! Right now I'd just embarrass myself *G* hehe Maybe I can contract out like clowns do for a laugh at parties. LOL! Let us know how it goes! Pami Some new pics.

Cool! We'll be leaving first thing in the morning. I have some things I need to get done tonight, but plan on being up early and getting down there before the student crowd start trying to take my slots! hehe Hey Jt...check your private. Pammi Some new pics.

Ah! How sweet! Don't think that there isn't work and compromise with us too, though. Believe you me! I like to drink and go party sometimes, he doesn't and would rather stay in. I had two kids already when we met, so he had to learn a lot of compromise, as did I to give him the freedom to learn how to be a good father to them. When we first moved in together, it was nasty sometimes...there's a hole in our wall for a reason after all *grin*. We just both believe in a relationship not always being easy, taking some work, and giving in when you're wrong (or you just want to make the other happy more then you want to be right). Being so in love just makes the other stuff easier to bear :) My ex once said "I didn't think I was getting another job when I got married." Um, jackass. Yeah it's a job! The most important one of your life! It shouldn't have to always be work, but it does take some effort. Besides, I never would've gotten with anyone just like me...we'd have annilated each other in the first 6 months! I'm way to bitchy, but he keeps me nicely medicated :) hehe There's someone for everyone!!! Many mistakes later, I was blessed with finding my split-apart. Don't know why, but I'm grateful. It probably literally saved my life! Love to all! Pammi Some new pics.

I saw a thing on tv a while back where they put an unloaded gun in a room, on a table, with a few small children, about 5 or so years old, then watched through a one-way mirror. Some of the children's parents were amazed and appalled when they saw their kids, every single one of them, playing or handling the gun. They said things like "I've always taught them not to touch them!" Scared the bejeezus outta me. I made the kids watch the show, and tried to explain things to them again. Kids have a natural curiousity. The more you hide things from them or try to keep them away from some things you don't approve of or are scared of them being exposed to, the more they will want to know why and check it out when you're not looking. I'm not sure what the answer is, honestly. We own a gun, I'm not really sure why because I couldn't reach it myself if I had to *g* I also doubt my abilities to actually shoot someone UNLESS it were my family someone were trying to harm. Then it would be easy I think (how can you ever really know how you'll react until you actually have to?) I try to make sure it's not where the kids can get to it, or even know where it is. However, when they get a little older, they will be allowed to shoot it if they want. We will help them. They can take a course about safety, etc. I don't want them scared of them or curious because they've never been allowed to be around one or touch one. I just want to teach them to respect them as being dangerous so if they ever come in contact with one outside of my home, or even in it, that they will not decide to examine it by themselves. I grew up with guns in our home. As did my friends. We were the typical farm family with a shotgun by the back door during hunting season, and another in the pickup. I don't remember ever playing with one or wanting to hurt someone with it. I wonder what's changed over the years to make kids think that way? Cartoons?? I watched the Bugs Bunny ones and such where they blow each other up too. Hmmm... sorry, I'm kinda thinking out-loud here also. Pammi Some new pics.

I feel for ya. I still land badly most of the time. I stand it up maybe once in every 4 or 5 jumps! Just be careful, slide it in or PLF if you have to, and buy good stain remover until you get the hang of it :) Pammi Some new pics.

That really sucks :( I'm sorry Kev! I hope you get to finish those soon! Pammi Some new pics.

Beautiful! Perfect! You and Tee said it wonderfully. Merrick and I do the same thing...say things at the same time or that the other person is thinking, that kind of thing. I used to think I knew what love was, and perhaps I did, but not THIS kind of love. It's truly a blessing I'm not sure why I received, but I'll take it! :) I think you CAN make do, even find some happiness, with many people. However, soulmates is a whole other thing. You're together infinitely. Pammi Some new pics.

I second that!! All I can say is 'wow'. I don't even know you and all I want to do is just give you a big hug, tell you it's okay now and you were amazing!! Ah what the hell..*hugs* Good girl!! I hope I do so well when my mal eventually comes! Pammi Some new pics.

Has anyone heard any more on this? I didn't even see this thread until it was brought to my attention (thank you). My sincere condolences prayers to her family and friends during this difficult time. Pamela Some new pics.

Merrick and I are considering where we'd like to move, probably as soon as he could find a job. We, of course, are considering Tulsa and OKC, but are also interested in other areas of the country too. We just don't really know much of it! Here's what we'd love to find: A larger town, but not HUGE, nice weather...not freezing in the winter like the northern areas or extremely hot in the summer like AZ, a place with a good job market and housing that isn't thru the roof to rent there, decent communities and schools for the kids because that's our first priority...not to move the kids to an unsafe environment, and of course a DZ nearby. I don't really think I'll go to Colorado simply because the job market there is very competitive, particularly for people like me without a college degree. Besides, EVERYONE seems to move there! It's all just pondering at this point. We're putting out our resumes in OKC and Tulsa mainly right now, but are just exploring the concept of just leaving OK altogether. Thanks!! Pam Some new pics.

Ah thanks guys :) If you ever come to OK perhaps we'll try that nudie jump Pammi Some new pics.
