Now, if I could come up with a cool nick, I wouldn't be "Pammi"! :) "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Yeah, I did that too Skymama. Except during the week I usually drink a whey protein shake for breakfast and lunch then have veggies w/rice for dinner. Weekends are for being 'bad' though! :) It helped though, the protein thing. I normally don't eat much meat and I really needed it with doing some weights. You guys are freaks *laugh* Congrats Joolee!!!!! Go have you a wonderful fun weekend full of Creamer, er, Skreamer-type behaviour before you head out to that 'real-world' of working off those loans :) You deserve it!! How sweet! I imagine you are tops in the dad department if you even think that way :) Congrats to both of you! In this day and age, even graduating high school is an accomplishment with all of the problems teenagers are faced with! *laughing at Diva* You sound like me! Food is my friend *grin* I LOVE IHOP! Pancakes with everything! You want eggs? You still get pancakes! They screwed me last time and didn't give them to me with my omelet. The bastards! LOL! Always start with coffee tho! Nector of the Gods I tell you! Oh you're making me hungry! Only had 'nector' this morning. :) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Hmm..so you're gonna stop diving if you ever have kids? How sad for you! I plan on showing my kids how to live life to its fullest and that women CAN have everything they desire! A family, a career and a life that's theirs, and not just an extension of being the mommy or wife. And who better to have them around the my best friends at the DZ? A better influence by far then some friends they might have in the future. Better they learn there are boundaries and how to behave while in public then grow up naive and bratty cuz they've been hidden away from places they have to be a bit more restrained in. Heaven help anyone around those children when they finally do break loose! I realize it's an 'adult candy store' as our DZO calls it, and I wouldn't bore my children by making them stay out there too often or too long at a time because they already consider people flying down under canopy quite normal and boring now after a while. I also take them elsewhere when the partying starts so everyone can feel free to act as crazy as they like...the same as I wouldn't take them into a bar late at night. However, the only 'consequences' I see my kids facing from being out at the dropzone now and again is an open mind and adventerous heart. Gee, maybe I should reconsider and send them to live with their father so they can sit on their ass in front of a TV all day! Yeah...a quite 'priceless' weekend altogether. Hmm...gotta wonder if the rodeo dive was the only 'dive' that 'went to custard'. Hey Sis...if 'testing your strength' is what I think it is...I'm sure there are a few at OSC who'd be willing to help ya out with that Love ya girl! Once you're off student status...beer is more expensive, definately. LOL! Just plan on bringing it every time you go to the DZ when you first start jumping on your own. Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

About the relaxing thing..I used to 'overthink' everything. I still do that, actually, if I let myself. My JM who helped me get through the last of my progression with coach jumps finally told me to close my eyes and sleep on the way up. I, of course, couldn't get to sleep, but he'd yell at me to shut my eyes if I tried to open them or even peak. LOL! It must have worked! I started doing better and tried actually NOT thinking about things so much. Just the one or two things I was supposed to pass on that jump, or something I was not doing well previously. It'll come :) It was a difficult progression for me also! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

ROFL!! You're aweful SP :) hehe I perhaps would not be the best person to ask. I pretty much have heard to basically make sure the stabilizers are out, the slider is quartered properly, brakes are stowed, if it's a Sabre, you roll the tail and nose...and ya got it! I sort of subscribe to that theory. I try to flake it all nice and neat, do everything all pretty, and I have become somewhat anal about stowing my lines so they don't somehow get tangled and cause a bag lock, but otherwise, it's the 'it'll open' way. Doesn't mean I'm really fast at it, but not bad for a newbie. Hopefully it'll get even better with time! Hey Sangiro...have you considered possibly putting a live chat area in the Pub? That'd be awesome to be able to talk to people in real time. Parachat has a pretty good program for it, as does Bravenet. Both free last I checked. "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

LOL @ Skybytch....absolutely true! Good one! "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Why is it after a full day of jumping you can be so tired? It just seems strange to me...I'll spend most of the day sitting around the DZ waiting for the load, jump maybe 4 times or so if I'm lucky and just feel happily tired and relaxed at the end of the day. Since most of my time is sitting around, on the ground or in the plane, wonder why that is...? Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Very cool! I can't wait to get my SCR! I anticipate it being at our boogie July 4th...thank goodness, plenty warm for that beer bath. I hope it goes as well as it did for you! It's funny how we all think that way once we're skydiving...about how many jump tickets you're 'spending'. I got stopped today and just thought "Damn, there goes some of that jump money my parents and brother gave me for my birthday." Lucky for me I got tits as Merrick said...he let me off with a warning! Woohoo! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

I have to say in my IAD progression I was kind of the same way for the first few jumps. It all just seemed to go so fast that your chute was out before you had time to even think about it. I wouldn't worry about it too much..you'll notice more when you have more time in freefall. However, if it's still a concern for you, mention it to your JM. They'll be able to tell you what's a fairly 'normal' response since they drop people out regularly :) Good luck!
