Know what Cloud? You, Merrick and I all are 'oil trash' for the same company :) "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Okay, gotta ask...what the heck are you talking about, put on a 'carton'??? You walk around with a carton on your head to start up convo?! Forgive me, I'm blonde...lol. "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

I haven't tried a tandem either...I probably would if given the opportunity but I won't actually go looking to do it. I definately would recommend it to the person looking to get into skydiving to get the full effect of things before making the investment it takes to go thru the whole course. Going IAD, it took me a long time to even feel what 'real skydiving' was like with all of those hop n' pops and so forth. However, I've heard so much about the uncomfortableness of it and seen people about pass out or puke from riding in the tandem harness. If I'd done a tandem first and had something like that happen, I don't know that I would've ever done it again. So...it's a toss-up. I would, however, go if it were a friend getting his rating or it were free. I mean gee...I'm an air whore...I'll take anything they'll put me up on, and if it were free...weeeeeelllll....I'm there! I don't know about the whole being out of control thing. I have issues with that usually...just riding in a car with someone if someone pulls in front of us or some such freaks me out. So I might not like the non-control thing either...but ya never know until you try...I'll do anything once! Sounds awesome! I'm so jealous! I miss my baby already. I have to tell you though that you are in for a very very long week. After jumping my Sabre 135 and doing about the same thing..noticing how much faster it was, more responsive, then having that little swoop to a stand-up landing, it's all I can think about now! Getting back up there and doing it again!! Sounds like a great time!!! (oh and the canopy sounds gorgeous! I love those 'stained-glass-effect' type canopies. That's also what mine is...silver with pink ribs..they are very pretty!) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Not a skygod?! *gasp* But gee, he sure thought he was! LOL! Actually, I shouldn't be so mean since I don't know him very well, but I just have this 'thing' about anyone with an attitude of being better then anyone else...I don't think there's ANYONE that good that they can't be polite and friendly to anyone else! Just my peave :) OH! That'd be fun! I've always wanted to try one of those! *sigh* We're up in Kansas this weekend. 'Relative work'. The upside is I'm getting my 'belated b-day present' today sometime and I've asked for jump tickets. So maybe they'll really believe me this time and I'll get to spend some next weekend! :) You guys have fun..we'll be cussing you from up here :) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Very cool idea Sangiro! A question tho...just the rig (all packed up and such), canopy or both (if we have that)? I bet we could all figure them out as much bragging as we do when we get our rigs *grin*. Sounds fun! That's funny guys! I'll keep watching to see if they come up with anything, but til then...I'll work on some imaginative excuses just in case :) lol Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Speaking of insurance...I haven't heard anything recently as to what happened with the issue of medical insurance companies not having to cover for skydiving-related accidents. I don't know that I'd tell what happened at a hospital or doctor's office if it was something simple, broken leg or such, but if something really bad happened and I was seriously injured, I don't think it'll work saying I tripped stepping off the curb. I was just curious of they were still working on it or if anyone knew more about it? Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

*big kiss* Cuz I jump with the best skydivers anywhere! (sorry everyone else...I'm a bit biased of course

Rock fight?? That sounds nasty! Mine wasn't that bad...just someone with a really crappy attitude, not just towards me apparently, and a real fondness for his jacket that seemed just a bit unhealthy, IMHO. I think his name was....um....Mike Farmer or some such thing. LOL! Nah this guy actually doesn't come there anymore...darn! Can't we just all be friends? Hehe Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Woohoo!! Congrats on the gear! Ain't it great?! Now all of your co-workers will know why you're not getting any work done at least....dreaming about that rig! Now you need to take a pic of it and put it on your computer/desk/whatever. Have fun this weekend!! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Great site Ann! Also loved Skeet! What a cutey! We have a Dane/Rott mix we rescued from a shelter and he also likes to lean or sit with just his butt on the couch and his front legs on the floor. He's very funny! He even dented a car a month or so ago. He managed to push the door open and get outside (in front where it's not fenced) and thought it was a game when we tried to get him back in...running and dodging. He ended up being chased by a neighbor into the street and dodged a car (thank goodness) only to actually slide into another going the other way with his hip!! He wasn't hurt at all, didn't even limp any, but put one heck of a dent in that guy's car door! Imagine calling your insurance company and saying "Um, no, they didn't hit the dog, the dog hit them!!" He hasn't tried escaping again though!! Anyway...great site!!! Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Isn't the wait time on a Cobalt right now at least 6 months? Just curious, because if I ever wanted to try it, I would probably want to request it way in advance.... "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

I am of the same thinking as you Emma, I tend to call Skygods those who are just amazing at whatever they do and whom I aspire to be like. I've only met what I'd like to alternately term as a Skyhog, Skyass, whatever, once...but it was brief thank goodness. (and the regulars, Merrick and even our cool pilot at my DZ offered to kick his a$$ for me! lol!) Hopefully I won't run into more as I begin to branch out to other DZ's :/ Blue ones! [laughing] Woohoo! Way to put it Carrie! (Although playing with Merrick WHILE nakie sounds appealing too..especially if it can be done in conjunction with skydiving! But we've been on that topic before.... BTW Carrie...congrats on the 'next step' with you and your sweetie!! Nothing like a good man to make you re-think your theories on love, life and marriage eh :) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Kris...I coulda told you to watch out for Merrick! You just think he's quiet and reserved...he's a wild man I tell ya! Broccoli though???? EW!! That's only good with lots of cheese...umm.... wait...you might be on to something there ... Emma - you're hilarious!!! Although, corned beef?! You're right up there in the freak catagory! hehe! I wanna see the pic too! I haven't even seen it! Seems to me they got just what they wanted...everyone talking about it! I think it's funny...a company with a sense of humor. Gotta love that! Perfect skydiving ad...a little weird :) Pammi "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
