  1. 500 jumps on a stiletto, 1500 jumps on a vengeance. I have to disagree. Vengeance more ground hungry, yes, higher frontriser or toggle pressure? No I prefer a vengeance over a stiletto. Jurgen
  2. Next time you have to cutaway, everybody thinks that the white canopy they see, is your main instead of your reserve. So nobody will look after your freebag or main. It's your choice. I don't understand why people have to rethink this. It is an easy system that works very fine. You can have a yellow reserve if you want to. But if you use it, the probability that people will notice that you are under your reserve will be lower than if you have a white one. Hey why do all modern cars have white or yellow lights at the frontside and the red ones at the rearside? I personally prefer red lights in front and white lights at the rear of my car. What do you think? Jurgen
  3. Okay, now we know what you mean. Let's see their reaction. Jurgen
  4. What misfiring? Firing at 1000 ft or ...? Please explain me what went wrong or at least explain the test. Get facts before you start slamming somebody. BTW My car needs maintenance somewhere between 15,000 and 30,000 km, my first car every 5000 km. Is this normal? A Vigil also needs maintenance, but not at a scheduled timing. Jurgen
  5. Texel, Netherlands. PCV, Belgium
  6. Most important lesson if you want to swoop, is to know when not to swoop. Jurgen
  7. Be careful if you accuse somebody. 1 or 2 years ago a skydiver "packed" his own reserve and forged the signature of his rigger. Another rigger who repacked the reserve, saw some serious mistakes and contacted the rigger in question. They found then that the skydiver himself messed with the reserve and had forged the signature. The rigger who did the last repack, has posted it here at dropzone.com. So if you accuse the rigger, be sure that it wasn't the skydiver (or a friend) , but the rigger who has made the mistake. Jurgen
  8. Euh, ever watched a rocket launch? Flames, heat ...
  9. Where to look for patents? I don't know. The site only explains the lazybag and where to buy it. But you can always ask Luc Masin (E-mail : info@maisin.be). I know that the lazy bag is tagged with a small label (Compal), but I do not know if this label also shows the patentnumber.
  10. If you copy it, it is illegal. The lazybag is patented. More info at: www.compal.be
  11. I have 1600 jumps on a vengeance 120 (WL 1.65). Had no problems with the openings and I pack very sloppy. Even with twists (only had a twist 2 or 3 times at 1600 jumps) it flies straight. Do not try to pack it very neatly. Jurgen
  12. Do you need a license to jump in the States? Probably an up to date logbook (signature ...) will be enough.
  13. Are you sure, because some skydivers say that she did AFF (or PAC) in Maubeuge, France?
  14. Damned, I thought it was french
  15. If you passed out during a tandemjump, but you don't have a history of passing out in your daily life, you don't have to worry. It happens sometimes that tandempassengers passes out (some tandemgear is more prone to this than other). If you still doubt about it, see a doctor. I have made 5 tandemjumps as a passenger and 2 of them I didn't like. The harness was quite uncomfortable (PS I was allready a tandeminstructor at that moment).
  16. Emailed Cedric at Matter????? What are you telling us? Your home DZ is Ampuria Brava (see profile) and Matter is based at Ampuria Brava. If Matter really treated me like that, I would just step into their office and talk to Cedric in person. Sorry, but something is wrong in your story or in your profile. Jurgen

  18. That's for only for speeddiving. I have a problem to hear my protrack when it is mounted on my leg .
  19. Both are very well, it's just a personnal choice.
  20. Compare the electra with the silhouette from PD. Jurgen
  21. Not all DZ do jumpruns against the wind. For ex Ampuriabrava regularly does jumpruns with tailwind or crosswind, because they don't want you to land in the sea or in the town. So in this case they have other rules about the exitorder So I believe that skydivers have to understand the rules and not just obei them without knowing the reasoning behind it.
  22. No problem (unless you are tired). It is something complete different with flying and scubadiving.
