The news about needing a real ID to get through TSA, does that include domestic flights? Are you or will you be required to have it on you at all times? We had that back in Zimbabwe with National ID cards. If so it’s ironic as I can travel anywhere domestically in Australia with no ID (including flights).

It’s mind blowing the pace of change in the US. The political silence is deafening and it’s scary to watch. The 100 day stats were that congress has passed about 5 bills, one of the worst performances in history. Trump is ruling by imperial decree and largely ignoring court orders he doesn’t like. It’s sad because American’s have historically had a strong spine and willingness to stand up for rights. Yet it’s now common to see old ladies dragged out from town meetings by police for asking the wrong questions.

I’ve been thinking about the Trump comment on only 2 dolls or 5 pencils. While I’m sure he’s not an environmentalist, I believe excessive consumption is a problem. It used to be that we had a couple of treasured possessions and would save for them. What we did have was often much higher quality than is available now on the shelves of Kmart etc. The cheap junk toys, cookware and other items don’t last and contribute to landfill and pollution. While it will be a shock and change to the expectations of so many in the west, and arguably goes against capitalist ideals fed by consumerism, I think Trump has accidentally become a champion for one aspect of the environmental movement. Maybe it’s naive nostalgia, but it would be nice to see the rise of a few quality toy brands again, and model making.

I honestly think this has very little to do with money or the film industry, but more a Trumpian dictatorship move. He’s aggressively attacking any media that is contrary to his opinions and trying to shut them down. I just see this as the first baby step in him looking to shut out any foreign news and information sources. He’s not dumb enough to outright ban BBC etc, but he’s shown to be remarkably skill full at boiling the American frog

I’m sure you’ll take this as a badge of honour, but Trump doing that is crass and tasteless. He’s genuinely a narcissistic cunt to use an Aussie term. I’m not catholic, and have no affiliation to them. But have a little respect for people’s dignity. The pope deserves respect. Honestly, the Trump administration makes the movie The Dictator look sane.

Trump picks and chooses who he listens to and cherry picks the parts he likes. 3. Some analysis of the current ‘evolving’ plan, but warning that Trump is king and shifts alliances frequently so basically who knows what’s next. Since the original video I’ve been following this guy and quite like his content (it’s not purely US focused). Maybe he’s full of shit, and just presents in a way that fools me - I don’t always agree with him, but think generally his theories are plausible.

I just read an article about the military parade being planned for Trump’s birthday. 6500 troops, tanks, helicopters and the golden nights parachute team! I’m guessing being a military team they don’t have any option but to go?

The US news media has been calling Trump out as a liar for claiming he’s made 200 odd tariff deals, with the late night hosts mocking him that there aren’t that many countries. The problem is, he’s likely telling the truth … A couple of Australian companies (not industries) have been doing well on the stock market because they negotiated exemptions from the tariffs. What it cost them to get the exemptions is a whole different question.

What I’ve been wondering lately is with the second amendment, what would the threshold of a tyrannical government be? I’ll admit that I don’t really see the second amendment as a viable option as things tend to get taken away bit by bit. So with the boiled frog analogy, you’re cooked by the time you notice it. Also, it’s likely that more radical groups take action first and are branded terror groups and dealt with.
