I’ve been mulling over the situation in the US and I think it’s unprecedented. The rise of fascism and oligarchs are following a historical path and are nothing new. But I’m not sure the “reality TV” governing for ratings is not something that has happened before? The teasers of “I’m going to announce a big deal soon”, the baiting of journalists and foreign dignitaries with inflammatory posts or comments prior to meeting etc.

Well there’s a part truth to this. Harris wanted to address price gouging and large corporations tend to dodge paying taxes. Not saying this is Trump’s rational but it’s an argument I would support.

We used to have a skydiving couple at the dz, Jody and Danielle. Jody worked in a call centre and Danielle as a mechanic. It was amazing how often people mixed up who was who (Jody was the husband)

No, I’ll have to watch it. It’s pretty interesting that for the most part she was caught because of trying to cover up the crime. If she’d just come out and said “oh shit, I picked the wrong mushrooms and here’s a sample” she would have been a lot better off.

It’s quite an interesting case as the ex husband had got sick a couple of times previously when she had invited him over for dinner. Mushroom foraging is quite a big thing as we have psychedelic mushrooms that grow in the wild. There was a case a few months ago where a woman died at a mushroom retreat (unintentional poisoning by the host). I find it amusing that the focus today has been that the only thing wrong with Erin was that she had “chapped lips”.

Enjoy your travels. Yes only so much madness you can take. There used to be a UK news segment published by one of the mobile providers called weird news. It published articles like “man bites dog” and other real news that was whacky. That’s essentially become mainstream news these days.

Having grown up under Mugabe. Even he was more circumspect with his corruption. My step dad was very religious and used to say that the acceptance of sin and debauchery was the beginning of an empires collapse. Looking at the US, I like he was right to some degree. When you’ve got a president posting AI pictures of himself as the pope, a king and a warrior etc, you’ve hit a comedic level of insanity.
