I think you missed step 4, clean it up into something legible. That post was a load of gibberish. It reminds me of when I was around 8 years old and we would make up secret codes and languages.

I don’t get the reference?

Convinced wife to watch contagion during quarantine. after 15 minutes I’m in the dog house for 2 weeks

Ok, so you attribute your lack of competence with computers to conspiracy. 1) Copy the text 2) Open notepad (not Word) 3) Paste the text into notepad 4) Clean up the pasted message into something legible 5) select all from notepad 6) paste into dz.com I think you’ll find that magically fixes the dz.com censorship issues In case you’re in doubt those special characters are formatting control codes to display on a website, they are NOT hidden messages from Q

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/03/christian-pastor-who-thought-covid-19-is-just-mass-hysteria-among-the-first-in-virginia-to-die-from-virus/ My wife has been frustrated by the lockdowns and cafes shutting down etc. Then yesterday we had a death at our local hospital (not just our city, but our suburb), she doesn’t want to go out anymore..

My mother posted on Facebook (technically reposted) ’To all you people stocking up on hand sanitiser, without Jesus it is not going to save you’ .There are plenty of religious people looking to Jesus to save them from this, my mother included.

trump to Ease Restrictions and FOX News Agrees
nigel99 replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
This is callous, but in all seriousness I do think there is a point where you balance economic catastrophe with death. In everyday life decisions are made that trade the cost of life, with the benefit of convenience. Imagine if all car travel was limited to 20MPH and you couldn’t buy anything faster? Road fatalities would go way down. Might be a silly and extreme example. There will become a point where governments need to decide when to lift restrictions and it will be before many medical professionals agree with them. From what I’ve seen Trump is dreaming though! Let’s just hope the experts make the best trade off for all of us -
Except many don’t do they? They attribute it to demons, or generational curses instead of telling their flock, hey go see a Dr. As for sexual malpractice, you obviously haven’t heard many jokes about catholic priests have you? But at the core of the problem is human belief. Especially when people are told to or choose to ‘believe’ without question. It’s a fascinating topic, anti vacs people will ignore science because of a belief, people believe in UFOs being hidden in Area 51 the list is endless. Q falls firmly into this category. Gullible people, not willing to question or research. The flood of Coronavirus stories, which are true and which are fake? Critical thinking and research are crucial skills that most of us lack, and with the flow of information I don’t even know how you avoid the more subtle ‘stories’

Substituting one substance abuse for another is not really dealing with the problem. Sorry but if you really believe the stuff you post here, you’ve got a major disconnect with reality. I have seen so called ‘christian’ counselling cause major damage to people, mental health issues need to be dealt with by trained professionals. And before Coreece and co, get their noses bent out of shape, my experience is with Christians. I’m sure other religions have their fair share...

As a world leader Trump is and should be judged to a different standard than you or I. As a world leader keep your mouth shut, defer to experts and then when facts are known repeat them. He was an absolute idiot spouting garbage about Democrats blowing it all out of proportion etc. Considering the scale of the problem and the protections being put in place now, are you Turtle prepared to say the dems were correct in their response and Trump was wrong?

And it’s mostly killing off them Asian fellas that don’t believe in god...
-
Jesus Christ. Sorry but what an asinine world view. This has become something that nobody has ever lived through before. And by that I mean the lock downs, the travel restrictions etc. Not saying it’s worse than the epidemic 100 years ago, but back then global and widespread travel was not common. We are in for a wild ride, economically at the very least
-
But was it a real estate business in New York?
-
It’s beyond lazy thinking. The Trump cult is strong, so strong it’s scary. He has managed to connect with weak and vulnerable people in a way that other politicians haven’t for a long time. He will manipulate and milk them for all they are worth and they will sing his praises along the way. Sort of like the pied piper I guess
-
So is your position that the President is nothing more than a figure head? He should not provide leadership in a time of crisis?
-
So the entire world is now a conspiracy against Trump? I have been slow to realise it, but I think you’re an avid Trump supporter, you just post enough breadcrumbs along the way to be able to in the future cover your arse. This is a first in my lifetime, I’ve never seen entire countries locked down, global restrictions on mass gatherings and the list goes on. This is momentous and we are in territory that is possibly uncharted. That fucking idiot of a president you have tweeted a picture of him playing a fiddle with a caption of ‘I don’t know what this means but I like it’, jeez has he never heard the phrase about Nero fiddling while Rome burns? Part of the whole problem with this crisis is we have inept and stupid world leaders (Trump, Scott Morrison, Boris Johnson to name a few)
-
With mass gatherings being an issue and a health concern right now, I wonder if god will spare the faithful? It would be interesting to see, is the corona virus transmission rate lower at church than a nightclub?

Coworker of my younger brother diagnosed with it, and my brother has early symptoms UK. Assuming it’s correct then the spread is ahead of the numbers being reported. They work in the healthcare system (IT geeks), so relatively high exposure potential
-
My dad is in his 80’s and flying over from the UK tomorrow. He’s not in good health and family have paid for a first class ticket so that he is exposed as little as possible. He is only allowed to stay for 3 months, so it may get interesting. If this is as bad as they appear to think it is, then I actually support the travel bans. But don’t make exceptions for Rich people, or for countries where Trump has golf courses etc, or even citizens and residents. There is very little common sense being applied. My work have told me that because of my dad they may not want me to go into work for 2 weeks, yet I had dinner and drinks with a friend who just came back from Asia and that is ok? I don’t envy the people having to weigh the economic and medical considerations. But politics should not be part of the equation.

It is a total cop out. If you care send money. You want my response to that particular post - nothing to the people involved. No prayers, no vibes, no money. Why? Because frankly my life is full to the limit supporting my wife who has health problems and an ageing father. I can totally agree that people feel empathy and can’t make a difference, heck I would put myself in that category. But perhaps the right and honest response is ‘Hey, I’m really sorry to hear about your situation and I would love to help but unfortunately I can’t’. Why does the ‘I’m praying for you’ get under my skin so much? Because I grew up surrounded by the hypocrisy of that. The phrase was thrown about, but it was obvious it was empty platitudes. Obviously there are exceptions and I know there are religious people who genuinely do pray for those they say they will

I’ve never seen anything like this, it’s incredible. My cousin has a large business ($180 Million+ turnover) and he has made everyone in the office start working from home and the factory as of today starts working 3 shifts, with a 1 hour break between shifts where everything is cleaned and disinfected. This is in Australia. By the same token he’s in the home delivery business and this has been really good for him as sales have gone up 30% with all the people switching to online buying.

What about all those permanent residents (green card holders) who aren’t citizens but live in the USA?

Posting on speakers corner will kill you first

Actually I disagree. Look at my early post history in speakers corner and back then I held some religious belief and argued with Kallend primarily. Through introspection and general education my views have changed. I could have stayed in the religious bubble, surrounded myself with like minded individuals and still be stuck where I was...
