  1. Hey winger, look on the bright side, usually when you here a skydiver having a bad day it was either his last day or or a day he/she limped, crawled, or got carried away!! tomorrows a knew day (I think I'll go roll in the hay or play with some clay, I just may
  2. I've been doing reading on a lot of diff DZ's around the world and some places offer complete packages (includes AFF,20 jumps, and "A" lic testing fees). SO I would say depending on how fast you learn, whether or not the dz is open all wk , and weather permitting it would be possible to get licenced in with in a week or two!!! Any one else? jason

    BAD YAMS!!

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT TRYING TO START ANY TROUBLE WITH ANY DZ AND SO FOR THIS REASON PLEASE IF YOU REPLY I'M NOT LOOKING FOR ANY NAMES OR DZ'S JUST OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS THANKYOU In the past there has been posts about different DZ's that will quote"say anything to get your money". My question is does anyone think that some places may fail a AFF level to get a little bit of extra money outa it?? What I mean is say level 4 ( that seems to be a popular failed level) if you do every thing well but there was something you could of done better but was in the saftey margin. You may not realize you passed it because your the student and so the JM says sorry gotta redue it. Does any one think that there are people out there that would fail you to milk out more$$$ for the DZ? The reason I ask this is just that you always read about cons in all kinds of sports. Just wondering if any one had any thoughts jason
  5. Dont forget WHYFFO's (your disapproving wife) jason P.s "whuffo's" not to get confused with waffles!!One you eat and the other you....... oohhhh lets not go there!! DOWH
  6. I would think youd want to be all geared up and ready to jump at a seconds notice before entering the plane for the fact that what if at 3000 or so ft something happens to the plane and you have to make a decision to jump out. Th last thing I want to worry about is a chest strap or any undone gear. You have know time!!!! just my thoughts jason
  7. I'm just curious, I'm waiting for my ground school(hopefully next week) before icancontinue my AFF coarse and through out reading some of these post it seems theres a lot of you also currently going through AFF. So i was just wondering a show of hands of who RIGHT NOW is currently sighed up and is going through there coarse be it AFF,S/L,etc... jason
  8. I dont know about your DZ but the one I am currently training at has NEVER!!!!! had a tandem ride a reserve chute down. SO for me when I made my first tandem the concern of the chute not opening never crossed my mind. The only thing that scared me was looking down from 10,000ft GGGAAAAAAWWWWWWWWDDDDD!!!!! But man is it worht it!! How ever just because they never had a problem doesnt maean one cant happen so make sure you ask yur TM what to do if the situation occurs! As for your girlfriend... hell what do I know I'm still trying to deal with MY wife

    Farmer McNasty

What if you dont have farmer mcnastys but instead billy and the gang bangers!!!. THe DZ is out side the city however about two miles to the north there is a little section of town that is a gang area. Should we be trained to use riot gear at our DZ !!!!!

    Farmer McNasty

So why do farmers or anyone get mad if you land on their property. I mean its not like your trashing the place especailly a pasture ful of shit!! whats the deal, anyone know
  19. Mark, not to controdict you or anything but I thought that a hook turn was a low turn with toggle input and a swoop is a low turn with front riser input. Also out of the 2 it was my understanding that a swoop is safer than a hook (in comparison to each other) because you can pull out of a front riser pull fast if your too low where as once you iniciate a hard toggle your pretty much committed and if your too low you really have no chance of coming out of it. This is just what I'ev read in past threads. ANyone want to confirm or deny jason
  20. So does anyone know waht ever happens to mains or reserves after they've made there last jump? Is anything recycled or is it all just thrown away? jason p.s anyone jumping the VX or FX 46 ( i cant remember which)from Icarus on its last jump can sell it too me!! that would make a great bed spread
