I've been grounded for 2 weeks now because I'm waiting for someone to sighn up for AFF ground school. THey dont want to teach just one they want at least 2 students DOWH!!!. I can understand why I guess but it suxs cause I've been going out to the DZ anyway just to watch and its been nothing but blue skys. Also because they just opened theres not alot of people jumping yet so your # of jumps depends on how fast you can pack. jason

I guess my thought is that it would snivel because it is taking up more miosture than air but I'm just guessing. any truth to that.

Hi jeji, I guess I wont say anything thats been said but I,m in the same boat. I'm just starting now and been married for 3.5yrs and have a 1.5yr old girl. ANd my wife says I should be living my life for my little girl. I completely agree however I dont see a problem if like you everything is taken care of incase something was to happen. My wife even said "i dont care about me I can deal with it however what I am I suppose to tell your girl why she doesnt have a daddy?" My responce...the truth, tell her daddy past on doing something he learned to have a passion for. I mean I know its nothing you want to have to tell your kids but come on people we're not kidding anyone things do and will go wrong know matter how safe we try to be. However like was mentioned above a large % was pilot error so that should make jumpers even more consious of emergency procedures and prevent serious accidents. AN dwhen some one asks "what if your main AND your reserve doesnt open?" F@#$ it tell em the truth "WHat the hell do you think I F@#king dye!!! I think Sangiro better fix the "JUMP" button at the bottom of this thread... ________________________________________________ Tell ya what if you plan on using that "jump" button you better have a fast connection speed 56.6 or higher or else you may never make it to altitude. Pluswhat happens if your half way up and get disconnected???

I'll 3rd that motion. Dont take this the wrong way but I especailly enjoy reading about the mals that people have because it reassures me that they do happen and as long as you have the training you can avoid some and/or be able to handle and walk away from others. I consider all you like celebreties in my own little world and hopefully one day get to jump with some of ya!! jason

WOW when you said he cut the engine I was expecting you to tell us how you told him what you should do in that situation. I didnt know they would actually make you land the thing. Kinda like skydiving, they teach you about all the mals but hey dont purposely pack one for yu to figure out what you would do!!(or do they) > Any way nice job. Hey by the way hows this for an idea. We all know tey have fully scale remote controlled planes. How about you learn to fly one of those, and then take one up to altitude jump out w/ the remote and then when you land you can land it. . that will save you jump money wont it ??

[hey lazerq3, i happen to have a 99' kawasaki ninja 250cc. it tops out at 115mph on the auto bahn, that's a hell of alot better than some cars do, granted it's not like ridig a 600 or 900 but it will still kick your ass if you don't know how to ride it. there's almost nothing like screaming down the "bahn" at 115 with your body a few feet from the road and passing cars going half your speed!!!!!...i'd kill myself if i had enything bigger! ] __________________________________________________________ I'm not knockin his bike which I think was the 250, it was nice but between the bike, the sticker and his attitude that he thought both him and his bike was king shit just made us all luagh at him. If thats what you feel safe with then great have fun and be safe, but dont roll up to a 900 and laugh. (this was his attitude) jason

I knew a kid that bought like the smallest type NINJA motorcycle and put a BAD BOY CLUB sticker on it (yerrrrrrrr)

I made my first tandem in jul99 and I just did my second tandem ready for AFF saturday. The worst part for me is when that door opens but this time it wasnt bad because I already knew what to expect. And what helped me was that I was so focused on what excersises I had to do in 40sec that it changed my fear to not "o my god look how high we are" but to "O my god I gotta get all these monuvers done on time and correct". For me that mentallity just made the whole experience more enjoyable. The fact that there was a task at hand and not just falling. Plus my instructor was wayy cool and he kept saying whatever you do just relax and enjoy the veiw and take your time. I think once your up there it will all come back to you.(But what do I know I only have two jumps so far...dowh) Have fun and good luck jason
