No chickie-mama. Grab my chest-straps, go on go, and look for the inverted horizon. OUCH! At least your jumping. Been foggy or windy in Cali for a while. JP

Here Moody, for the sake of argument, let me be your Daddy. "Sweetie, I got all the money in the world to make you happy. But you get what I paid for, you-hear? You asked for blue reserve cover flaps, and that's what Daddy paid for, so make sure the nice people at Mirage make it so." I'm not being facetious, get the blue fricking flaps you decided on after polling all of us knuckleheads. Your Daddy, JP

Anybody using a side-mount PC on a Bat-rack?
Deuce replied to Deuce's topic in Photography and Video
Yes. My Dude, that is cooleriffic. Yowza. On the new Bat-racks, that side is high-gloss carbon-fiber finish, isn't it? Fabulous hand control with the Dremel, my man. Very custom. JP -
OK. I installed the full version of Premiere 6.5, and XP pro. The whole thing crashed the entire system, and I had to rewrite both the C and D drives. I suspect it had something to do with completing the project in the LE version and then trying to write it to MPEG2 in the full version. I repartitioned both drives to have the appropriate amount of room, and I'm starting over. Not really a bad thing, cause with the help of several of the pros here, I'm way ahead of the game. Lordy. Computers: it was the best of times, it was the worst of times....

Ah, my dude. 99 jumps later you had it licked, and I was there.... Happy birthday! JP

Anybody using a side-mount PC on a Bat-rack?

Ah. Perfectamundo, Cameramonkey, and yet further proof of the justification that Sangiro can have anything that I own to borrow. You even have the same camera mount, the Stroboframe. Thanks. JP -
Now you're cooking, darling. See, the folks in skydiving care about your order! Have them fix it and have it ready to jump in a week. That's honoring your parent's investment in your jumping career, and giving the manufacturer the opportunity to provide excellent customer service. One of the hardest things to do, in life, is hold people accountable to their promises. But everybody wins when they keep their word. JP

Byron. Come visit and feel the love! JP

Dammit Franck! Since you moved out, where the hell am I supposed to get quality morphine? You bastard! I'm just so glad an old skydiving friend and a new skydiving friend have beat this thing and will jump again. JP

Thanks guys, the profile on that side is the same, nice to know it's working for other camera flyers. 'Preciate it. jp -
Good news! I got a note from Francie, Carrol's wife, Carrol's out of the ICU and is in the orthopedic ward. I think his next big hurdle is the hip-bones/pelvis surgeries he's got coming. I've got the flu, so I'll wait a couple days before I go see him. JP

Anybody using a side-mount PC on a Bat-rack?
Deuce replied to Deuce's topic in Photography and Video
I'm looking at the Bat-rack, cause it will let me put both a digital SLR and a film SLR up top, with the PC120 on the side, where I prefer it. Anybody got any pictures of a setup like this? (Sidemount on a Bat-rack?) Chow. JP -
Ah, dude. You are sick. I had this whole riff on how roids were cool cause they allowed you to engage your rage, yada-yada, and you put that pic in. What the hell were you really looking for when you got that, and why the heck were you saving it? Tame compared to the Dragon-unit, but still just not right

Cali too, JT, 15-30.

Yeah, that's what I've done. I ordered some more of their stuff last night. (The smartsound option) We let tandems bring their CD's in to put on their tapes, I don't think there's any copyright issue with that. Thanks.

Absolutely send it back. If their customer service is half as good as Wings is, they will be happy to do it. They'll hot-knife those black flaps off, replace them with the, what is that electric blue?, flaps you ordered, apologize profusely, repack your reserve, send it back to you postage paid, and throw in a couple of cool neoprene beer-bottle coolers, all inside of 10 days. That's what Heather at Wings did when I had an issue with my 170 rig's riser cover flaps. And as for your parents springing for the rig, good for them. Like Skymama, my mom helped me out when I was a newlywed, and now I'm paying a chunk of her monthly bills. It all comes around. As it is, that rig is too dark, a little TOO moody

Is Groundhog mostly dark meat?

Oh. Well that means I need to go clubbing, I guess. There's that! Thanks JP

Argh. So after reading all the stuff that came with Premiere, I'm terrified to use the good music I own on my DVD for the formation loads. The sample stuff that came with the plug-in just isn't that good. Cajones, NacMac, Q, and you other professionals, what do you do? I'm guessing getting rights to popular music is hideously expensive.

C'mon Johnny, we're supposed to call them STUDENTS.

Awful. Really sad flashbacks to where I was when the Challenger went.
