The camera suit give amazing vertical maneuverability. You can cannonball down to a formation, open up the wings and STOP right above them. Some really good cameraflyers don't use them. I don't think either Cajones or Lewmonst use one. I love mine. It lets you stay still over a RW way, and allows you to hang under a tandem, and give a quick popup shot of the drogue. You can also zoom all over the place shooting special occasion jumps, when you just want to get high-motion exciting video. Check out Cornholio's 100th jump on his site. Me and Jim were both wearing our camera suits, and the spliced video is pretty cool. Some folks can get close to the vertical range a suit provides by flying their bodies really well, but I need the crutch of the wings. JP

So, having met the fella a couple of times, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. She has climbed the mountain, and it was goooood. So she's giving up mountain climbing, or something. And, Lisa, dear, the only jaded part about you is the little flecks of green in your eyes.....

First 4 way at Eloy. Me, Mouth, Cornholio, and BigBen. Everybody gets in the door, takes grips, and kinda wait a second. OH YEAH, the count! I gotta do the COUNT! Crap, was is the leg out-in-GO or the up-down-OUT? So I do this kind of half-assed in up thing that they don't react to and I just get a firm grip and tear them all off the plane. It's all about the freefliers, baby, they were getting impatient

My favorite Tandem Master, Connie, is like 5'4". She takes guys taller than 6'2" all the time. It is seriously funny when she clips on to them and has them stand up. She looks like a grown-up in an infant carrier. We're out of a KingAir, though, so they have to crouch way down anyhow to get out of the door.

I hate most all of these holidays, it's like to give more on one special day, you have to hold back on others. Give your all, every day, for tommorrow you may be dead! I do admit, however, that I will succumb to the pressure, buy a card, send her flowers to work (chicks just love lording that stuff over each other) and see if I can get a sitter for dinner. It just seems more like an opportunity to screw up rather than a real celebration of romance. We don't get that day off, do we?

Chris, if you're asking about the one on my helmet, it's a bonehead D-box for the PC110/120. I shaped it a little with a die grinder, and cut the box down with a table saw. Use a vacuum if you cut or grind on that stuff, the fibres are nasty! -
Josh, is that flash a big separate job with a synch cable? Are the batteries in it, or are you mounting up a separate battery pack. Great photo!

1/500th, 200 ASA film, Shutter priority, lens focused just short of infinity. I jump an N70, but I think this should work pretty universally with a bright lens.

Suz, there's a lot of stuff planned into the dive that's not in the Targeted Learning Objective. You only have to complete each TLO one time. What are they on #4? Just make sure you complete those and then enjoy the view!

Does anyone remember the propane bomb they brought that malfunctioned? If it had worked as planned, they would have killed more kids with that than the guns. McVeigh killed lots more people with fertilizer. Sociopaths will find a way. The guns just made it easier.
