Four way starts the sixth of September. They start the week before with canopy. It's a fun time! Like a very focused boogie!
-
I have several sniffing, but no commitments yet. I'm sure I'll see you, and I think I owe you a kids XL shirt that I stretched the hell out of.
-
I wouldn't make that argument. The cordura pouch is more durable than a spandex one, and will last longer before maintenance is needed. (And it matches if your container is not black! ) I think the "security" is the same in both cases, the pilot chute will not deploy without having been deliberately deployed by the hackey.

Have you done a demo of your current reserve
Deuce replied to DaMan's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Argh. You know what I meant. But I guess, maybe you didn't. My main is a 150. My reserve is a 143. Dumping the 150 out of the equation, and the construction of the 143 PDR reserve make it more docile than my main (A Spectre). Without flaring, I'm pretty sure I would crash the 143 with only blood and bruises, and not broken bones. The four times I've deployed it via cutaway and landed it were easy, stand up landings in varied wind conditions. The weight of the main being gone makes a difference. It REALLY does on tandem cutaways! Anyhow, demo jump your reserve before you have to jump it for real. Especially for before that first one! -

Yep, Bonnie at Gravity Gear usually does "reserve demo days". I jumped my reserve size before I had my first malfunction, and was very glad for it. I've had 4 sport cutaways since, and three tandem cutaways. A benefit of jumping the reserve as a main, is when you jump it for real, it is easier, cause you don't land the weight of the reserve too. -
So I take it my fancy new suit looks totally fucked up? Dang.
-
Have fun, Scott! Sounds like a lot of learning and flocking is going on! As to the suit thing. A guy built like me (6 foot 220#) is not a challenge for a guy six feet 150 in the same suit. That guy is pretty much just tracking in his suit while I'm maxed out. The challenge with wingsuit RW is checking the ego and the ability to do 3 minute wingsuit jumps and FLOCK. It can happen, and it's just awesome. Look at the different levels of effort in this picture. I was pretty much maxed with my cameras facing rear. And yeah, whoever said it, Jari could smoke me wearing just Pantz.

I've had it since jump number 40. Love it. Wouldn't go any other way. I have the freefly hackey too.
-
When it happens on a tandem, the camere flier gives up the altimeter to the TM. When it happens on other non solo skydives, the retard is expected to track and pull with the rest of the troupe.

That's the planes, right? That's a different discussion. At Eloy, Burke can kick you off the DZ. How many WFFC participants were banned from jumping?
-
The slider is just noisy sometimes. We are not swoopers. Sometimes it's a bitch to shut up, and I collapse it. Otherwise no. Usually not.

Is this you? It's me. It's Clay and many more or my Monkeybuddies. What do you think? Maybe get transferred to Speakers, but I'll follow this one. Cop, Soldier, Citizen? What is your capacity for violence? BLAM! What now?

It's hard to sit there looking at them THE WHOLE TIME! That jumping out right at the beginning especially. Then they do this squaredancing thing over and over and then pull their strings and land. Ach. Oh god, and then the bitching! "What do you mean the camera wasn't turned on?" "You tumbled off the plane and missed the first square dance thing!" "Hey you gotta download the video at the window place where the judgementals are!" Wah! Fixed that first line for ya! God, I can hear your 2005 rant already "Hey, you losers, where's my thong!??!?!?" Sheesh. How soon the videoslutgraphers forget. You Fox! I've had a few inquiries, but I've been candid about folks who think they are gold medal material wanting to go right to nationals without practicing with their camera flier! I could not replace Kwoo, and found that out when we jumped the Shark. I've since figured out the Shark. (at the expense of Team Long Climbout and Snatchforce) Hire me you maniacs. Two cameras, Nationals experience, and I'll wear women's underwear if you are all Foxy Women.

I go on alternate days. They only have services on Sunday at your church?

Kisses back. Camille pulled the handle. The kids running the ride had now idea how much of the equipment had been invented by Bill Booth. I edumakated them at length. Scary, but fun for them. I would much have rather have taken them both on a tandem with me.

There was a wood coaster called "roar" and the cool metal coaster (my favorites) is "Boomerang". We rode everything they could ride at their height. Great leverage, parents. "Eat your veggies!"

I am violent, but never mean. Sarcastic, but not cruel. I am not a nice man, but I am kind. Impetuous, but not capricious. Well, maybe a little capricious in the right company. Check these out. Edited for being too violent.

48". Tall enough for some "real" coasters. -posting live from 6 Flags marine world

We are switching out our 384's for the A2's. The 384 openings are uniformly softer. That's the only thing they have going for them over the A2. The A2 toggle pressure is so easy that the student can usually fly them until I take the toggles back at a grand. They are much higher speed over the ground at landing than a 384, and if your passenger cooperates, are easy to swoop a stand up landing with. If they dig their feet in, though, the speed will put their feet and knees down and dragging while you finish out the flare. Because I jump at Byron, I've landed them in zero winds and 32 mph winds. They are GREAT in the high wind conditions, with good penetration speed for bad spots and high winds etc. I haven't jumped anything but the A2 and very tired 384's. A2. No brainer.

I'm looking at this and thinking I'm right on the cusp. I met Tequila Girl at the first DZ.com Holiday Boogie. I may have been in the middle of, or on the end of, a magical time of DZ.com. I'll never forget recognizing Sangiro at that first boogie and saying hello, maybe first. Probably. A wonderful, happy time.

You just don't give a shit...do you?

Wrong order? -
You're right! Spread the word!

With the banquet set for Wednesday night, I think Thursday is a weather day.

Well, you gotta understand. How hard can camera work be? You just sit there and look at them.

Yeah, Phree, one per. Last year people were really scrambling for video flyers at the last minute when they realized the rules. I don't get this. Teams spend fortunes getting ready for nationals, and then end up with marginal camera fliers that they hire at the last minute that they haven't jumped with at all.
