  1. Yeah. Crap. I said that out loud, huh? Jimmy's response sums things up nicely. Having responsibility for a family can pinch sometimes. Yesterday it pinched a little. Today is another day. PimpDaddy, I wasn't crying out for help, I was just whining about a hug . Let's get some thread drift here. Anybody read Hunter S. Thompson anymore?
  2. A hayride bonfire sounds really, really dangerous, even for skydivers. That hay goes up super fast.
  3. My Brethren, I just need a freeking hug, so bad you don''t probably understand how bad. Hit me! I'm hurting. GOODNIGHT!
  4. It's wierd on the scale of Hunter S. Thompson. Weird like the tires just won't blow. Weird. Like Capital Letter Weird. And that's saying a lot for a guy who regularly blows off the Sunday morning Tandem crowd to go to church to watch his daughters sing. Really, really weird. So. What do you suggest?
  5. Yeah, sorry, I wanted to get Evan M. to photograph it last weekend, but the godman gets busy, and I do stupid shit like chopping due to not cocking a pilot chute. I am very proud of my Batrack side-top setup, and I'll post pictures as soon as I get them.. I might screen grab some right now.....
  6. I gotta tell you. After doing some RW with the big guy, I can't wait to do the birdmand thing. Dude is huge, but really proportional. He doesn't fall any faster than anyone else, just way the f&ck bigger!
  7. Scott, the palm altimeter seems to make sense so that you could check it while keeping a grip on the wing edge. Struth? JP
  8. LOL, I agree. Don't sweat it Deuce, I'm sure you can photoshop that shadow out and have the million dollar shot Ack. I am just surprised sometimes at how big the setup is. It's nothing on McG, but it's still so big it's funny to see. I got a lot of good shots on that shoot, some really showed the pop that fill flash can give. I'm digging it. JP
  9. Every now and again doing RW camera work, I'll find my shadow over the formation and think, dang, that's cool.... So I'm looking at some pics I took recently and found the shadow of my 10D and 550EX on my subject (Iwan). It's just kind of funny, so I thought I'd share it.
  10. Ah, a blast from the past. I only visited Marina once, yet I wreaked spectacular carnage! It'll be OK, Tom. Have a nice snack and watch some Cartoon Network for a while...
  11. THERE YOU ARE! I was worried, man! Where you been?
  12. Tear what? Your panties? (Wow. That's spectacularly ripalicious, even for me ) Sorry, Tom. That one was just too easy! Cheers!
  13. Sorry Johnny, your logic is accurate, assuming economics is simple. But I argue that it's not. My only point is that the argument of simplicity is derailed by starting with the statement "Assuming economics is mindbendingly complex and fluidly dynamic" well, if that is the case then changing revenue may not in fact change deficit. If spending grows at the rate of economic growth we will not overcome the potential deficit. We proved that in California recently when revenues dropped because the economy turned south, and we had dramatically increased spending.
  14. We did that last year Val, and it was beautiful. With the weather cold the air was clear. Sedona is on the way, and it'd beautiful too. We did Vegas after that on the way back to NorCal. It was a wonderful trip. We stayed in the lodge right on the rim of the canyon. Just beautiful.
  15. Precisely. Because it is anything but simple, that logic is innacurate. I think most of our DZ.cast is pretty well established in their positions.
  16. Oh, yeah! She coud do eye gouges, rear-wrist-locks, leg-sweep takedowns, kidney punches, ear-boxing....the possibilities truly are endless!
  17. I see it as freeing capital so that the economy can grow to the benefit of my children, but point taken.
  18. Send me a PM and I will get you on it! Mama....I have charging rhinocerous legs...battleship hips and thunder thighs. Ooooo doesn't that make for a nice visual Wow. Since I've picked you up (off the ground) many times, I must have the strength of 10 men! Apparently I have huge muscles and green skin.
  19. That's a neat trick! QUICK! What am I thinking! FutureMindReaderCam!

    Prayers Needed

Thoughts and prayers to you, your Dad, and your family. JP
  21. Congrats TIMMAE! That's super cool. So when I'm 51 I'll be as good as you? BWAHAHA! 13 was always lucky for me, It's my wedding anniversary day and lots of other significant days. Couldn't seem to escape it.
  22. OK, there's an awful lot of technology in this picture, uh, what was that about subject matter?
  23. Bonnie has us hooked up with beer AND wine. The mini-mart that's closest to the DZ has the best selection of beer for a mini-mart in the County, due to it's proximity to the DZ! There's going to be a great espresso truck there in the mornings for caffeine mainliners like me. Just bring your bad self. And maybe snacks.
  24. Prayers and vibes, Michele. Please be well. I need somebody to translate this stuff I'm learning in class into "real world". Vibes and affection, JP
  25. I have two. I use a Hawkeye LT for tandems and video only. It's lighter and more comfortable than my other helmet. It's a BatRack with a 10D up top, connected via cable to a 550EX flash, also on top, both attached with stroboframe quick releases. My PC120 is on the side. It is a heavy setup. It's uncomfortable because I ratchet it down so hard to keep that weight controlled. Diablopilot jumps the same amount of cameras including fill flash on his flat top pro. It's a nice setup, and if I had the money to get that helmet to start out with, I would suggest it. I've gotten used to sidemount, and I like it. Most folks don't look down the line to what they intend to be jumping a year and a half later. A flat-top pro is a lot of helmet to just jump a PC camera. But if you're going to toss a stills and fill flash on there, or maybe a second video for competition, the big helmets with lots of mounting space are the way to go.
