I just got beat out for a job by a nice naturalized US citizen from Nigeria. It couldn't hurt. She wears very cool hats.

"Other people's (kittens)" I knew Berkeley was liberal, I just didn't know they had a whole department for that stuff. Kick their ass at the interview, and tell them you are a woman from Nigeria.

I had to go back and check. I was really only looking at the scar, like the caption says.

Any of the Sony mini DV cameras that have firewire capability and steady shot. I have a PC 120, it has been dependable. I jump a sidemount. There's a picture of it in my helmet on the "digital battleship thread" and a post I did about the Diamond .3. and .5 vs. the Kenko .42. The mini DV TRV cameras are also great, and most folks with those jump them on top mounts.

Somebody else, please.....I'm laughing too hard. Yah down with OPP? YEAH YOU KNOW ME!
-
Vibes. Ortho surgery has come a really long way, and Doctor's tend to predict doom and gloom so that their patients can exceed their predictions. I hope this situation doesn't make trouble with his employer, the AF.
-
You were down with OPP? Damn! Lumster!

If this has already been posted, well, twice is probably OK. Lew! Great to see you up and around! When I read about your accident, I thought you'd be out longer. OK, my broken ankle has been better for months, now, so when do I get to look so fabulous? http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/around-the-dz/6aug03/6aug03-Pages/Image0.html

Yep. And I did safety training for the folks at the Extreme Ultraviolet Astrophysics lab, too. Kind of another propellor-head group that worked with the folks up on the hill. Super smart, super nice people who have been on a college campus most of their lives .

Deal.

Most of thos sattelite and instrument packages they design and assemble there are wrapped in gold foil. It's good in a vacuum-space environment, I guess, and looks real sciency.

You'll be able to buy a ride in the Albatross, I think. Plus she's raffleing (is that a word?) a ride off, again, I think.

If Nasty Clown reappears and takes a shit in this thread I will definitely kick it's ass . Sebazz? Remember to bring your own damn bumper suit this year!

As I understand that, Bill, that's selection, not evolution. Like the moths outside London during the industrial revolution who began to stand out and get eaten by birds as the trunks of the trees were darekned by soot. There was always dark moths, but until the environment changed, they got eaten more. I understand evolution to be something NEW in a species. Like fruit flies developing a different kind of eye entirely due to environmental pressure. It does seem likely that the genetic code of a species might "clip out" unused or corrupted genes. It just seems to me that when we find out what all those genes do, in the multitude of combinations that are available, we'll get a better glimpse of species origin.

A stepdad I had worked there and loved it. There's a lot of gold foil in that place. And lots of doctoral candidates on the verge of nervous breakdowns.

Iwan, they've got Skydive Arizona's SkyVan and their Otter as well as our KingAir. If things pick way up we can get an additional Otter out of Monterey, or a Caravan out of Davis.

http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=182925;search_string=camera%20suit;#182925 I later went to the full D wing. I think you should search the subject lines of the camera forum for wing suit and you'll get a ton of other information.

Does DNA allow for evolution? Is there a set of traights in our DNA that allow us to be neanderthal or cro-magnon? This was the subject of one of the most interesting books I've read on the creation/evolution debate. Even though I'm white and 6', I have the genetic potential to be black, and 5'. There is no indication that humans possess the genetic map of gills. The argument being that a human may be born with flippers, but not necessarily because it's parent lived it's whole life in water. It's a mutation, not an evolution. It seems the whole debate has quieted down a lot since the human genome was mapped. I really suspect that is where the answers to our origins will be found. In our own living DNA, not the fossil record.

Yeah, but you don't pay income tax, right?

That's just it, Scott, I've jumped with you with your RAWA on, and it didn't seem to cause much trouble for you. I also have Respect for the high-timers who are being cautious about headgear and BM suits. I appreciate the dangers and I will fly the big helmet on BM flights. I just want feedback about the dangers. I'd also like that knowledge to be shared in the forum. Thanks. (Can't resist the opportunity to post a pic)

I'm hoping to use it on night jumps. It will come in usefull for that. It's also only about a half inch higher than the SLR.

Next time Paul shows up on the DZ he will be doing a birdman jump with me, and then leaving.

I know that guy! He's hella cool! And a pro demo skydiver too? He's got it all!

A lens hood will help, but not eliminate that.
