  1. There is really not a philosophical difference between claiming that the universe came into existence form nothing and organized itself and claiming that God organized the universe and made it. It merely pushes the point of unknowing back one step and in either case it asserts a claim that is unknowable and unprovable. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  2. If you are talking currently, yes, tandems count as a jump for initial license. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  3. Do you have pictures or further desciption of this? Must have been really sloppy, I think? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

  5. This is bollocks. I have no belief in the Bible as anything other than a historical document but if you are going to debate at least do so with some sense of historical accuracy. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  6. Gingrich's entire senior staff quit the other day with word leaking out that he wasn't putting enough time in to be a serious candidate. Some of them went to work for various other campaigns, mainly Pawlenty from what I heard. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

QuotePeople are sexual deviants. Damn near all people. If near all of them do it then it isn't really deviant at all. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

  10. I'm a huge jam band fan. I've seen Phish before and am a fan of String Cheese Incident among others listed. My current quest is to see Grace Potter and the Nocturnals sometime this summer. They were in my neighborhood last night but sold out a long time ago (damn my lack of planning). currently thinking Floydfest might be the way to go. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  11. We have a chart like this (maybe even this exact one but I can't be sure without it in front of me) next to the door of our Otter. Works great, Thanks! "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  12. Well I certainly think it is. The interesting thing here is that so, apparently did the great Protestant himself. Not quite sure what process led him to re-think (re-unquestioningly-believe?) the doctrine of Rome. taking a dump. Seriously. Luther had his revelation when he experienced relief from constipation. 13. We are already paying for rehab services, hospital services, counseling services, etc. for people who are using drugs. Based on studies of places that have liberalized drug laws there will be very little actual increase in use of those services. Certainly cheaper than continuing to finance the prison-industrial complex. And more compatible with freedom. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  14. Always get a little "release" sometime before the date, helps you relax. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  15. Well, I guess this is why it is hard to generalize. I've dated women both with and without kids. Doesn't make any difference to me. My only guidelines (guidelines, not rules because every situation is different) is that I wouldn't date anybody who wanted kids or more kids (been there done that) and I didn't want to be a father figure to anybody else's kids. That generally meant that I looked more favorably on dating a woman w/ kids if the kids were older and if the father was still and active part of their life. That has worked out fine for me. The only challenge is that having kids sometimes causes schedule conflicts but that really hasn't been a big deal. I may have made other choices if I was a bit younger or I hadn't already had kids of my own. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  16. I frequently mix some pesto in with my tomato sauce, yummy. I've never replaced the tomato sauce entirely w/ pesto, though. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  17. With bell peppers (green, the red are great cooked) and sometimes other vegetables I will cook the pizza until just before it is done then pull it out and put the vegetables and a bit more cheese on top then stuff it back in for the last 3-5 minutes. Leaves the vegetables crunchy and warm. If they go on at the beginning they get soggy. Boobies do not belong on pizza. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  18. a cash purchase is a situation where I would most want this insurance - I'm out an entire house if there was some hidden lien or owner. You are right that it is most prudent. You would hope that people who had done well enough to pay cash for a house would have the saavy to protect themselves, however, I would not count on it. I bet most people only have title insurance because the lender requires it and are not even sure what it is for. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  19. Guys, biologically, get removed from the reproductive pool for a variety of reasons but this is a big part of the reason the "natural" rate of human birth is 105 live male births to 100 live female births. Yes, a lot of guys go to prison. A lot of guys die. A higher percentage of guys are gay then women according to most reputable studies. Guys suffer from a variety of genetic disorders at higher rates then women (not all genetic but I work with people w/ intellectual disabilities--studies indicated that males outnumber females in this population 2:1). By reproductive age the 105:100 number reference above has come more into line 1:1. From there the number of males continue to drop. Anecdotally I know some guys remove themselves from the dating population but I do not know how prominent that is or how many women do it as well. As far as "without baggage (kids)", well, at a certain point most of the women in your dating pool becomes divorced women, most of whom have kids. Yup, there are women that won't date a guy w/ kids but if they have kids it is more likely that they appreicate and relate to somebody with some of the same experiences they have had. Women w/ kids definitely don't consider kids baggage, neither do guys w/ kids. Besides, even though you haven't had kids you still apparently need an entire team of Sherpas to lug all your baggage around with you. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  20. Neither hot air balloon jumps nor helicopter jumps technically require a B license (from USPA) but that is a common requirement of the drop zone or operator. I went ahead and submitted mine for the extra currency and because of my jumping pace (I jump frquently but I'm not racking up the jump numbers) meant it would be a while before I get my C. Although I know its technically correct that a lot of things can be either "B-license" or "B-license qualified" I suspect getting the B license would make those things easier to do if you were travelling for a boogie (as would often be the case for a helicopter or balloon jump)? I haven't been to enough different places or done enough speciality jumps to know for sure, I just suspect that a busy DZ staff would rather just see a B license then inspect a log book and a completed B license application. 21. If they bought the house with cash then it is possible they did not obtain title insurance. It does seem like a place where that would apply. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  22. Not sure where all the guys go. Some die, some go to prison. That takes some guys out of the dating population. I also think some guys just take themselves out of the dating population entirely after divorce. I do not think I am anything special and had an extremely easy time meeting women after getting divorced at 38. The situation does (as Kallend says) actually get even better as you age. This is just about all due to higher death rate among males as they age. A single guy in a retirement community is a very desirable commodity. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  23. You seem to be conflating government sponsored (i.e. established) with protected. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
