    I did not take it that she was offering to pay for the activities, just the transportation. If she was going anyway, the marginal cost might not be that much more. I just think there are too many unknowns to tell for sure. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

    In addition to looking at the DZ.com adds, I also started calling around to various gear dealers. They have classifieds in Parachutist every month and I'm sure there are a lot of other dealers, too. Just called up and told them what I was looking for and my size and found a complete Rig from a gear dealer on the other coast for a good price. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

    antabuse makes you violently ill when you consume alcohol. Unfortunately there is not really a way to force anybody to take medication against their will effectively in an outpatient setting. Setting him free and requiring him to take antabuse is not an effective solution since our mental health system is not set up to monitor that effectively.     I agree with everything you said apart from this statement.. Some people are just big softies - not like you or me! But they are still misguided. And some people like the ego boost. People are responsible for their own feelings and their own actions. If I have a crush on somebody it is up to me to act on it. If attraction is not reciprocal, it is up to me to move on. Not always easy. If you encourage a crush from somebody you aren't interested in, that is just cruel. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

    I searched on pubmed without success. Perhaps w/ more time I could try more search parameters. One advantage of carbs is that they make sure your glycogen stores are topped off. Each molecule of glycogen is stored with four molecules of water. It is difficult but not impossible to have your glycogen stores topped off on a low-carb diet.     I have my learner's permit and been working on it. The problem is every nice weekend I want to be at the DZ, not practicing riding. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

    I'm like the O.P. in that I work professionally with people and sometimes have to report them due to a known, verified condition. I would not report my neighbor down the street based on my speculation. Professional responsibility takes precedence, though. I've also had to report people to child protective services, human rights committees, parole officers, and all sorts of other places. It's not always pleasant but I have always told people when I reported them. I also make sure I go over the exceptions to privacy every year when they sign their human rights notification with the agency and consent to continue receiving services.
