  1. You should really stop posting anything that implies that you have any idea whatsoever of how to meet or approach women in any context. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  2. I like all kinds of BBQ, that's just the only time and place I've helped with the cooking of the entire hog
  3. No, I've known some cats that were twatmuppets also. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  4. I helped do it all the time when I lived in Eastern NC. Helped because I did not own my own pig cooker. You need somethinglike this: http://www.grillmangrills.net/pull_behind_pig_cookers.html Vinegar based BBQ sauce. It takes a long time, pretty much all day, but a very fun way to spend the day. 5. That's what she said! Then you found out she was a HE! Hey Babe, take a walk on the wild side. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  6. That's what she said! "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  7. And I have no idea who she is? If I remember right she is the one who told you she was well educated, made a great salary, is a size 8 and wouldn't touch you with a 10 ft. pole. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  8. I honestly think age of consent is something that can be right at different ages in different countries because it is something that is sociologically/culturally determined. People are old enough physcially to reproduce once they hit puberty (and some of them will have sex at that age regardless of age of consent). However in the U.S. (and in most Western countries, I'm not familiar enough with other places to say for sure) children who are 12 and 13 are not mature enough to be making those decisions as adults. It doesn't mean they couldnt' be, as there are many cultures throughout history where that was the expected norm. It just means our society is not geared that way. In such a society like ours it would not be appropriate to allow anyone to have sex with younger teens, lead to a lot of damage and problems--if you want to see some of them look at the Mormon polygamist societies in America, although there are a lot of confounding problems there. 16, 18, etc. I think is debateable but I'm okay w/ either as long as that is not an option for defense for teachers, coaches, etc. to sleep w/ 16 year olds. It doesn't stop younger kids from doing it. Some states have exclusions for younger people if they are within a certain age range (say 2 years) of just don't prosecute such cases as a matter of public policy. Seems okay to me as one of the primary purposes of the law is to protect younger people from predatory behavior and I dont' see much public benefit to putting a 15 yr. old in juvie if she and her 14 year old boyfriend decide to have sex. 9. No I haven't. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  10. what? Boobies aren't an option in this poll either? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  11. That woman has got to be a human petri dish. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  12. I am not sure what is sketchy about it. Skydiving has a far, far higher death rate than any of my other hobbies. Yes people die flyfishing (usually when they overfill their waders and drown) and running (usually from undiagnosed cardiac conditions) but those activities don't come close to the rate of skydiving. I choose to jump anyway because the reward is worth the risk to me. I don't bury my head in the sand that death is a very real part of this sport. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  13. You people have threadjacked this so badly. Here's something to get up back on track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teMlv3ripSM "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  14. Having done it the other way (everything was about a contest and/or control) I can say that all of that sounds really nice and doing it the other way is very painful and frustrating. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  15. Ron, this is a very reasonable response and I don't think anybody should have an issue with it. I'm a newer jumper, so sort of on the other side of the fence. I love to jump with just about anybody. I'll jump w/ other newbies and just have fun, even if the dive plan gets away from us just out the door (try not to do this but it happens). I learn a lot more when I jump with more experienced jumpers, though and am happy when asked or organized. I make sure to tell people my jump numbers before I jump with them so that they can decide if they want to jump with me or not, some do, some don't, I don't have a problem with either one. I am fairly close to eligibility for a coach rating but at this point I can realistically say my skills are not up to par. I don't know if they will be there at 150 jumps or not (some tunnel time would help). When my skills are up to par I will probably go for my rating, but there is no rush. The sky isn't going anywhere. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  16. You know, there's even a movie or two about DZ.com out there. I've seen them, "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  17. In some jurisdictions (like mine in VA where I got divorced) even student loan debt accumulated during the marriage is presumed to belong to the person who got the education. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  18. Doesn't count if you text your girlfriend. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  19. Where's the option to vote Boobies? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  20. Perhaps people would be more likely to do those things if they were more directly financially responsible for the routine costs brought on by not doing those things. Crazy thought, I know "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  21. I suspect you are right, but the fact is that we do not know for sure. I jump a Vigil but am aware of the recent misfirings. Unfortunately anecdote =/= data. A little frustrating that safety information is not readily available. Not just on AADs but also on things like injuries as well. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  22. Where would you find the numbers for this? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  23. Guy w/ no arms and no legs at a baseball game? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  24. I work in a community mental health center. The truth is that we have very, very little ability to predict whether a person might become violent or not. I would be surprised if our predictive ability was higher than random chance. Diagnosis is clearly not a good indicator (so just whether he has PTSD or not tells you nothing). Being judged mentally incompetent is way to easy and often has nothing to do with any propensity towards violence. About the only reliable predictor we have for violent behavior is prior violent behavior. I am against blanket removal of rights due to mental illness but we see it all too often. 25. Stuff is just stuff, I'm not sentimental about it. Except for a few things my kids have given me and the pictures I have of them. That's it. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
