    Welcome...

is it paper over rock?*** Rock rips through paper ----- get it right!!!! Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  2. Well, naturally! Since I am not gay, I was horrible at making love with a man. I learned my lesson! *** heeeehhahhahah...........damn......I am sure glad you have a great sense of humor!!!!! Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  3. My brother's band is looking for a band name. They're going to be metal, and looking for something kinda evil*** Chickenspooge They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  4. What is the name of the ferryman the you have to pay the toll to in the afterlife? For $20 I'll call the guy a CHICKENFUCKER! *** his name is Charon, but call him a pussy and slap him.......you wont get much of an afterlife.......but HE will never forget YOU..... Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  5. But they don't say the virgins are good in bed. Aren't virgins usually really bad in bed cause they have no clue what to do? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I wasn't... *** Livendive said you were the worst he ever had....... Roy Ps: *(shirts.....hmmmmm)
  6. Whats the risks of the PC /Bridal getting tangled around your arm in this scenario??*** I wont ever say its "impossible", but the bridal on my pullout was around 14" long, I seriously doubt that it could coil around my arm to the point that I couldnt remove it....... but that is a scenario that I hadnt ever thought of.....good call. edit to add >> I doubt that it was even 14" long, actually I think it was a lot less than that......*my memory seems to be failing me more and more as I slide into old age..... if someone can give us an accurate measurment of a pullout "pud to pin" measurment it would be appreciated. Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  7. I don't see any advantage that a pull out system gives, that is worth the added risk of total malfunctions*** I started skydiving at around jump 15 with a pullout - I had one floating pud in 400 skydives, luckily for me my instructor had described to me how the pin location never changed more than an inch or two, and how to open handed reach back and find the bridle at the grommet- if I would have wasted time in finding the pud handle itself I would have had to use the reserve. I have since switched to a throwout simply because I can have a ramp check and know the pilot chute is cocked........ yes I know that there are recessed pins available on certain bridals to eliminate the possiblility of packing an uncocked pilot chute, but when I switched to a throwout there were none available and I am now comfortable with a throwout. its six of one and a half dozen of another. Personally I will jump either system. proper training/packing/equipment that is in good working order are the keys to pulling the fuck out of "oh fuck" Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  8. Larsrulz posted a great piece about it.... use a set procedure, stick to it...... what I do is... cock the pilot chute...stow the brakes, arrange the lines, cocoon it, S-fold it, put it in the bag, Double check the pilot chute is cocked...... I know I have added a second "unnecessary" step in cocking it twice.... but I know its done. makes for more peace of mind for myself. Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  9. all I got to say is WOW..... 6 months from a femur..? first of all, what did your DR. say? I tib/fib'd - and like a moron, decided to let it heal naturally..... without pins/screws.... took a year before I felt ready to jump again. If you can withstand a 6'shock then you are probably ready to skydive again. if you are at all worried about your landing, then PLF it.....nothing wrong with doing it! Allow your stronger leg to take more of the shock. time will allow you to quit favoring it as you become accustomed to it doing its job without failure.... its a lack of confidence (and rightly so) that is causing you to hesitate using it to its fullest.... have fun; welcome back; Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  10. Whatever names they call you and bizarre paranoid theories they concoct about you, I'll always love you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now you've marked him for life!*** your just jealous.... Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  11. Cool. Now, is there a Do Not Text Message registration number? I love you Dave. *** I told ya.......if you sleep with that Bastard, he will never leave ya alone..... Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  12. .....is a .92 wingloading too much for somebody with only 41 jumps? I have a wingloading of .83 currently*** I had 200 jumps before I exceeded a .9 wingloading. but I got tired of backing up in moderate winds. So I know where your coming from. I really dont think anyone should have any problems with your going to .92 An good standard is 1-1, so unless you are pulling 180 degree turns at 90 feet or doing other dangerous canopy maneuvers-you should be fine at 41 jumps. Your instructors/coaches should be able to advise you on gear selection. I have been told that I am quite the canopy nazi - trying to slow low time jumpers down in their quest to fly faster/smaller canopy's. but I havent ever had any heartburn over a low timer jumping at a 1-1 wingloading unless it was a full eliptical - or a Xbraced canopy. big canopy's can teach you quite a lot, but I understand going to 1-1 or near. Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  13. I had way too much fun when I went, I had people go out of their way to come up and introduce themselves to me and invite me on loads. the people are extremely friendly and welcome newcomers with open arms. the bunkhouses are first come first serve and are kept clean, (the shower does have hot water, you just have to know how to turn it on) the hotels and stores are just down the street not too far away. If you dont like big DZ's but would like to jump a turbine, this is definately the place to go.

***I've been with one woman who was actually incredible, two who were pretty good, a few who were, well, pretty bad, and then there's the Dallas cowboys football team..... They really like frenchmen*** Shocker! They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  17. your fuckin welcome ya degenerate.... its the small details that trip ya up....(I watch CSI) Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  18. my entire argument is centered upon the fact that the agreement never stipulated that the canopy would be used as a student/rental ....... this should have been stated prior to making the first payment. thank god banks cant add in shit after you start buying your car..... Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  19. We both understood that I could jump it anytime I wanted until he paid me back*** there is the core of my argument right there...... you both had an agreement that was clearly understood. unless my facts are off, Chrissy had an agreement that got "altered" after the fact. Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  20. tell the DZO thats loaning you the money that u will pay them an extra 5-9% I'm sure they would be willing to work out that difference... *** I would agree with this completely......... buuuut the seller should have hammered this out prior to "selling" the canopy, not just decided to place it into a student/rental rig just because its handy. I agree that when you purchase on credit you get charged a percentage, and dont have a problem with it (check my monthly bills...) this is kinda like a finance company that has the teeny tiny faint lettering on their "fine print". that stipulates that if you fart while facing west on a full moon while the president of the US is giving his inaugeral speach.... they reserve the right to bend ya over and make ya squeal like a pig..... --->> (thats the beer speaking)-->and I need another one!!! Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  21. If u buy a car at a Buy here pay here to use your analogy, its technically the car lots car untill you pay it off.... how would you like to purchase a car and then have the car lot owner send their friends over to drive it? if it gets ruined its their problem*** it they are honorable, I agree The problem here is that at no time was she informed that it would be used while she was purchasing it (other than by herself) since everyone has pretty much standardised a one doller devaluation per jump - she should be entitled to at least this much. I am not trying to be antagonistic here, but to me, once you start paying for a canopy, and are making regular payments without skipping payments, that canopy for all intents and purposes is yours...... and should be treated as if its yours, the dz can easily stipulate that it doesnt leave their dropzone untill paid off. Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  22. Seems kinda fair to me, provided the main is always available to the jumper. *** I purchased my icarus from Ralph with the same understanding as Chrissy has.....if he would have lent it out to other while I was paying for it I would have told him to shove it and give me my money back...... its kinda like leasing a car, you aint buying it, but no one else gets to drive it while you lease.... Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  23. It wasn't about the money*** Uh huh....and OJ was innocent..... Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
  24. What are the attitudes today on lending people canopies smaller than they normally fly, whether to help them move to an even smaller canopy they bought, or just to fly for a few jumps to gain experience? You and me both
  25. help me to decide which one to keep? *** try them on back to back jumps, then decide which one will suit you the best, they are both good canopy's Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
