man....... I will never understand getting pierced.... I havent and will never do it. but I do have a story to tell. I played 2 on 2 sand pit volleyball, at one of the meets one of the competitors spiked the ball on me (successfully) but then drug his pierced nipple chest down the net and ripped both rings out..... I was 2 feet away from him when he did it..... and I am here to tell you, it hurt me to watch.....and I havent ever seen a man sit on his knees crying like that..... no thankya......none for me.....but have fun with it Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... up by your chin .....hmmm, unless that is a rig I am not familiar with (with handles much higher than a typical sport rig) -- that is a really poor fitting rig (for you)...... do they have anything that fits you better? Roy edit to add: under canopy my handles are about 1-2 inches higher than on the ground or in freefall They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.

I have done touches in freefall on solo's.... my rig was made to my measurements and they are always right where they are on the ground (give or take a centimeter or so) under canopy is a different story, next jump get open and without looking at them - reach for them, they wont be quite where your muscle memory tells you they should be. I'd take him up on this Jason. Roy has a TON of experience with making mistakes. You can learn a lot about making mistakes from him. *** Boy....we have known each other wayy too long , but out of all the silly mistakes I have made in this sport, I can honestly say I havent ever created my own mal, like say......hooking up a toggle wrong so that the brake line flys off as soon as I pull it off the riser.... or something like that now THAT would be a silly mistake... My instructor who was number three jumped my ass when we got on the ground and said a lot of stuff that really kind of pissed me off.*** Jason....... thats his job.... he will be critical of mistakes you make, especially if it involves the safety of another jumper.....but he SHOULD choose his words with care, I left before this happened, but I am sure I know who was involved by how you phrased your post. overshooting and impacting another jumper can be quite serious... but with your jump #'s you are going to make mistakes..... this is why we usually have low timers using us for the ten-X ring while learning to dive.... You are doing very well at your jump #'s. perhaps he did overreact a little, but you know what mistakes were made - learn from them, even if you think they were minor.
