How should icidents be discussed in the INCIDENT forum?

i agree with the second one as well. leave the incidents forum for reports, facts and questions. its simple enough to start a speculation thread here or in S&T or GS then anyone not interested in that type of discussion can easily stay out and still be 'current' on the official report. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -
Exempt employees are allowed unlimited personal time (aka sick leave etc..) the company may have a policy about keeping it to a certain amount for managerial/accounting reasons, but legally (its my understanding at least, this has come up a time or two) they have to give it to you as long as you worked a portion of that week. If you dont work at all in the 40 hour week then they can make you take unpaid leave. check with your HR dept (if your with a large enough company to have one) they should have all the govt regulations and company policies.. be aware salary doesnt always mean Exempt for federal standards depending on the terms of your employment. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

of course Exempt also means they have to pay you for 40 hours even when you work 20. its up to you and your manager to come to an understanding on actual time spent at work depending on the load. some weeks i've done 100+ hours..so I dont expect to get any shit when i'm not right under anyones thumb on the slow weeks... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

dustdevils can shrivel any canopy and drop you suddenly..what i was told was avoidance avoidance avoidance..if you see one turn 90 deg away from the DD -in a direction into the wind..(dustdevils always move downwind) to get as much seperation as possible...if it already has you..be ready to PLF and practice them on occasion so you dont have to 'think' about how to PLF ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

i've got some 150 jumps on a sabre 190.(loaded at 1.14) and its only slammed me once (pulled in a track..but when its time to pull its time to pull ..i have a slightly larger slider than came with it originally (was added before i got the canopy) but its really about the way its packed..i dont roll the nose, but i do push it back into the canopy and make sure the slider is quartered well then pull it slightly forward to make a "big smile" my opennings like this arent as nice and pretty as they are when amy packs it, but then shes ALOT more current on packing then i'll ever be.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

so if your protrack has SLO mode then you probably have the update? do you know a way to check the firmwear version? also i'm wondering if its something that you could conceivable do yourself over the serial link, but i guess that is REALLY a L&B question i'm not there yet, but i will be doing both those in the near future so it sounds like something i want to have.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

really how come i can walk across the street and touch a marine with a GED? (he did get his high school diploma later) i know very well what the standards are, and exactly how easily they are waived when necessary...and if you are taking this thread seriously you really need to read for depth the ASVAB is a joke. the fact that any service uses it to measure competency is appalling. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
