  1. That's why I think it is mandatory to do that on reserve with slider bumpers...
  2. That's explains exactly why "A" stands for "Accelerated"...
  3. Can somebody post a picture of PD Slinks BUMPERS?
  4. I think there are dive loops that pop open once outside the container and keep their open shape, so that the probability of getting stuck in them is lower.
  5. riggerrob: can you tell us more about the features of TECHNO reserve? I heard it is more advanced and innovative than other brands...
  6. Where is that video???
  7. 30 000ft would be also way beyong what you can survive... Even though the airplane is flying at 30 000ft, the cabin is air tight and the pressure inside is like the one at about 5000 ft MSL. BUT, if you broke the window, then the pressure would equalize and it would be 30 000ft inside of the plane, as well. Than it would be time to worry about yourself and your altimeter...
  8. That's Patrick de Gayardon. He is probably about 3000' ft AGL at this point. It's just an illusion. Second to last photo: http://www.square1.com/photogallery/artist_page.asp?artist=jennings Watch "Good Stuff" video for more scenes like this...
  9. That's what PD recommends: http://www.performancedesigns.com/store_files/accesorystore2.asp?product=bands
  10. Right, especially that Large Rings and Type 8 risers are a better combination than Small Rings and Type 8 Risers in case of cutting away form a fast mal with low forces involved, like horshoe (Type 8 risers have more material that will have more trouble "unfolding" from the small rings when jettisoning). It is difficult to explain, but I hope somebody understands what I mean...
  11. What are the differences between Mirage G4 and Mirage G4.1 ??
  12. Who knows the name of this video file?
  13. Outside US: ..."Parachutist" magazine worte that in France ALL skydivers must have an AAD and a square reserve. I believe in Australia ALL skydivers must have either AAD or RSL. I do not think that would fly in the USA, land of freedom
  14. > How do ya like it Johnny???? That's from "Point Break", during the last speed star, right?
  15. Beware the view looking 'over your shoulder' may be affected... Dave Cut away main can hung up on your helmet, too.
  16. Can somebody post the picture of these Slink Bumpers from PD? There is nothing about them on PD's website.
  17. Here is a good example: http://www.perriscam.com/Images4/dsg56088.JPG
  18. and this... http://www.perriscam.com/Images4/dsg56088.JPG Very patriotic!
  19. Check this movie: http://www.tandemy.pl/filmy/tandem.mpg Quite unusual exit. I have seen other movies with the same Tandem Master and he always exits like this from tailgate airplanes. It looks like the momentum of rotation creates more controlled movement and prevents instability. At least that's how it looks to me... What do you think? Quite a quick (but stable) drogue toss, too! More exits here: http://www.tandemy.pl/filmy/mix3.mpg
