  2. When the questionaire is either online or in the mail, make the suggestion that one of the larger 6 seater golfcarts be made available for transportation back and forth to the spectator area, this would be in addition to the one used for the tandems... ----- ~~~Michael
  3. Definately agree. I went through 2 sharpies doing autographs. Kinda fun being larger than life to kids. They are the future and they'll always remember the skydiver who signed their shirt. ----- ~~~Michael
  4. This was actually part of the one year contract the WFFC signed with the city. If the city was impressed with the event, the city would pay 10k for the advertising/promotion/etc. that the WFFC shelled out. The Mayor of Rantoul authorized the city administrator (I believe) to enter into longterm contract negotiations with the WFFC. Bluez~~~ Michael Webmaster Michael@Freefall.com ----- ~~~Michael

I'm a network admin for an investment company in Colorado. I also work at the DZ on weekends organizing the student operations and playing host to all the tandems that come through the door. I'm also the webmaster for Ground-Rush.com, Freefall.com and a couple of the local DZs. I'm not an instructor, AFF or Tandem, so I give back to the sport in the ways I know how... 7. Well, I've not heard anything...For the several months after the convention, I'm pretty much out of the loop. I'll make a couple phone calls tomorrow and see what I can find out and disclose. Bluez~~~ Michael Webmaster Michael@Freefall.com ----- ~~~Michael

  15. This has a multifaceted answer. Am I up for anonymity? Yes. But, if you're going to stir the pot, then have the cajones to stand behind your own words and not hide behind the veil of the internet. We're all family here so are we going to agree with all of your comments? Duh, No. It does add more credibility to your statement if the real poster is named. ----- ~~~Michael

Country doesn't really matter. DNS=Domain Name Service. Primarily what it does is resolves that http://63.119.175.56 is equal to http://www.skykat.com. The ISP you are forced to use over there, or the ISP they work up through may not resolve the name so it would give you an error that the page is unreachable. Bluez~~~ ----- ~~~Michael
  17. How come I always feel like Bill or Ted from the CDW commercials? "Hey Ted. I'm off to crash the server. Wish me luck." ----- ~~~Michael

It works fine. Now the brief technical explaination - Your ISP may not be resolving the name (skykat.com) to the correct computer (skykat.com's ISP) on the network. ----- ~~~Michael
  19. Are you trying to fax again??? How many times do I need to let you know you don't have to print something out to fax from your puter? (btw - this is an actual call I received this morning) Bluez~~~ Michael Webmaster Michael@Freefall.com ----- ~~~Michael

  23. Unfortunately yes. Just wish I get a lawyer that convinces the judge to let me take off the electronic leash off on weekends to go to the DZ if I ever get caught... ----- ~~~Michael
  24. Ummm...You're supposed to email these ideas to me so I can pass on the the powers that be...And don't forget to include the contact info... I believe the Zeppelin company is back in business. Saw something on the history channel on them a few months back. The Family Channel blimp was at the WFFC sometime prior to 1999 (my beer year) but from what I heard, the jumps were a bit expensive. Anyone here jump it? Bluez~~~ Michael Webmaster Michael@Freefall.com ----- ~~~Michael
