I'm abusing the 3 T-3's at work. Way ahead on all my deadlines. It's the Scotty theory - "But Captain. the warp engines are blown and it's gonna take me 2 weeks to get it all put back together." reality - project done in 2 days... ----- ~~~Michael

Ahhh but young grasshopper...this sometimes brings more worms in the the problem than there were originally to begin with. Sometimes better to deal with one worm at a time than multiple... ----- ~~~Michael

OK...Slight break from post whoring, get the ice cream, and come back. You can do both at the same time. You do need some nourishment to keep the energy for post whoring up. Besides, ice cream is one of the major food groups right next to pizza. ----- ~~~Michael

Are we going to have to have a serious talk on this subject here? Post whore or Breyers chocolate ice cream... ----- ~~~Michael

We've tried that in the past. Didn't work and as a business critical system, the users can't be down so that is why we are doing it manually. The last "major" changed that was forced out to the desktop was to make people have a screen save that would lock their terminal. After 3 weeks of a bunch of people whining that their systems would lock up when shutting down, it was discovered that the sign out process takes longer that the default on the screensaver so it was locking the entire process up. The bottom line, even though we have a huge systems testing area, they don't test things like this. Besides, my area gets blame for too many outages as it is. ----- ~~~Michael

I'm a network admin. I (got) "volunteered" when I was in Hawaii to help with the windows 2000 upgrades to all the users. So basically what I'm doing is installing and configuring windows 2000 on 1700 pc's with a couple other people on Sundays. ----- ~~~Michael

pssst...Gretchen... you're sig line contradicts your last post...I will definately agree with you on the fact that relationships are a pain in the ass and can really suck sometimes, especially now. On an interesting side note, got a call from a friend in Il. It seems that an old g/f has now been divorced for over a year and is actively trying to track me down, but they won't give her my info. She tells them that she "made a mistake". Maybe she did, maybe I didn't since I'm having the time of my life... Blue skies, not blue hearts~~~ Michael ----- ~~~Michael

A free spirit lives today knowing that tomorrow will arrive sometime but doesn't dwell on the fact that it will. A non free spirit lives today with the fear that tomorrow will arrive. ----- ~~~Michael

Ok, Ok...all chill on the memorial stuff Ok? Now, there are many stadiums out there that were named as a memorial for those who fell in battle. Soldier Field in Chicago is a NFL example. Memorial Stadium in Champaign/Urbana Illinois (15 minutes from Rantoul) has this from the history of their stadium - "The second story is a colonnade of paired limestone Roman Doric columns, representing University of Illinois students who perished in World War I." There is a true meaning behind the stadium, more that just playing sports. There is a higher calling and meaning - lest ye forget. Come for the enjoyment of the game, but respect it's ultimate purpose - a lasting memorial for those who fought for your right to be at that sporting event... Bluez~~~ Michael ----- ~~~Michael

The biggest thing to try and avoid is over analyzing the whole situation. A lot of it will not make sense, even if an "explanation" is given. It's not you. It's him. Being with friends is the greatest gift and they will hold you up, or pick you up if you are down. Bluez~~~ Michael ----- ~~~Michael

When I travel with my rig, it's in plain view. The first time (and the only time I've had issues) I traveled with my rig, I did have it in a gear bag. The security moron pulled the silver handle (intentionall or accidentally just the same) with his head over the reserve. Broke his nose. Justice was served... ----- ~~~Michael

Think of it this way. Everytime you click on a link (here or anywhere) you're asking for something. To get something (i.e. the new webpage), it has to be delivered to you. The charge is in the delivery. Bandwidth can get expensive. Luckily on one of the sites I maintain, the ISP is also maintained by the customer so yes, I'm a bandwidth whore there. ----- ~~~Michael
