  1. I believe it would, Stu Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. I'll be there with free demo's from PD (yes that includes the optimum) Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. One last time... please place any questions about flying the JVX in the JVX thread. This thread is specifically for Kevin Love quitting team x. Since I cannot easily move them to the thread they belong in, they'll just be deleted for being off topic. If this keeps up I'm going to have to lock the thread (which I prefer not to do). Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  4. Is it forbidden to discuss JVX issues here?! NO! All canopy piloting questions are welcome and encouraged here. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. Dan, I still think Mel/Joe's system is a good one. At the time I moved over, Mel and Joe were using cabling through the center of the RDS - this was great at first, but over time the memory of the cables caused quirky openings. That said, I believe they have gone back to line in the center of the RDS. I find the extra attachment points do increase packtime, but only marginally, on the PEA system. The rings on the new system are VERY nice and well machined better, imo, than any other ones I've seen out there. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  6. I've put a number of jumps on various RDS systems out there over the last 2 years. Currently, I'm using the PEA Engineering RDS (see link above) and have found the service, and quality to be top notch. Check them out
  7. Nate, Scott does not moderate this forum, Tonto and I do, so regardless of Scott's affiliations with a dz they have no bearing on what's ok and not ok in this forum. I'm going to lock this thread since the OP's question has been answered and there are plenty of threads hashing out the landing area policies. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  8. Mike, There is already a topic here - I would appreciate anyone posting comments on anything other than Kevin leaving Team X, or Team X requirements, please do so in that, or the appropriate forum. Off topic responses will be removed. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  9. And that, right there, is why I recommend their excellent products - both BEFORE I was sponsored by them AND after my sponsorship days are over I will do the same. You simply cannot beat that service. PD employees (noteworthy mentions are Donna, Robin, Kim and Kolla as they tend to be the 'face' of PD) all go above and beyond the call of duty and are glad to have you join the family
  10. Might LOOK like it needs to be in the corner COMPARED to a velo. If flown right it's not in the corner. It's like saying the ST has to be flown in the corner. Entirely different flight characteristics. Anyway, lets keep this thread on track, or if you want to start a thread discussing JVX flying techniques, please feel free to do so in this forum. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. I always find this statement amusing. When you buy used, company choice should factor as heavily as when you buy new. You're going to need maintenance at some point on a canopy - I wouldn't want to be waiting months for a lineset. Generally, it has been my experience that, the company in question (while building a good line of canopies) has far longer delivery times than most others in the industry. 12. Where are the distance scores posted? edit: NM, found them on Omniskore. Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. Agreed. I've noticed a significant amount of darkening around the slink area after a jump where the RDS was misrigged and the slider stayed connected for far longer than usual. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. "The Pose" is my favorite. All that's missing is a "look at my socks" picture (those who were there will get this reference) Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. Great pics Chris, thanks for sharing then and please feel free to post them in the Hot Swoop Pic thread

    XBOX 360

There is NO WAY I'd buy, or recommend a PS3 right now. 1st, I'd wait for the format wars to finish (think Beta and VHS) and 2nd, as a gaming console, it has to have one of the most limited game line ups (specifically for it). I love my PS2 - lots of games, great price, great console. PS3....not so much Blues Performance Designs Factory Team

    XBOX 360

I actually play GH, GH2 and GH rock the 80's on the playstation 2. I will be getting GH3 on the xbox though. Beat GH on medium, hard and expert. Beat GH2 and Rock the 80's on hard and working through expert now - 3/4 way on GH2 and 1/2 on Rock the 80's. Since I got introduced to that game I don't play much else. I still play Bioshock on the 360 though
  18. Jairo's girlfriend is getting in on the action now and sent me these two Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. So I found a picture of why Jairo couldn't make the CPC champs
  20. I'm on the fence about going this year....we'll see. Performance Designs Factory Team

    XBOX 360

Love my 360, and I cannot wait for GH3 and Rockband....anyway, regarding the scratched discs, I've only ever had an issue when a friend tilted the console (while in use) which the manual explicitly warns against. Xbox Live is amazing, as already stated. I have zero regrets purchasing the Premium Xbox 360 (the core edition is bordering on useless IMO). Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. You're too fat to fit between the lines Performance Designs Factory Team
  23. Good god man, you can surf that Tsunami..... Performance Designs Factory Team
  24. Agreed Dan. I spoke at length to Dee and one of the topics we covered was exactly what you mentioned. Level out, then carve off to a side. If you get wet, no biggie - gear dries faster than bones heal. Still, that said, it amazes me how many people I see (at my home DZ) that would rather hit the bank of the pond at 20 mph than get a little wet. Makes no sense at all, but people do the strangest things sometimes. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  25. Guys, This is drifting off track - lets try keep to the OP's topic Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
