  1. You're doing something stupid. Of course you'll ignore this post, like all the others. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. I consider myself an extremely aggressive pilot. That said, I am never ever afraid, or shy, to bail from a turn that isn't good - I just prefer to be going as fast over the ground as possible. If there's something risky(er) I want to try I spend time practicing at altitude for 100's of jumps and then simulate the landing as much as possible in a safe environment before doing the 'stunt'. HP canopy flight can not be done safely, only safer IMO. Blues, Ian ps: I just read the italics at the bottom and while I'm not a 'pro swooper' I figured I'd post anyway Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. Flight Concepts Prototype X-Braced canopy. Has a similar bracing structure to the Onyx I believe. Joe Bennett jumps one from time to time out here. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  4. Ok - they were paying for peoples hop n pop jumps at Dublin to test it Dunno if that's a common thing but I thought it was pretty damn cool
  5. Dammit - I don't get that HD channel...I can see the name but can't watch it - DOH! Performance Designs Factory Team
  6. Thanks!! Here's the full size version - thanks to Sam's mom for the pic
  7. I hope you get sand in your trailer Performance Designs Factory Team
  8. Keeping a clear and calm head in competition makes for a more enjoyable competition and outcome
  9. If I were to guess (and that's all it is), it's easier to pull out on the rears the higher your hands are. As far as actually making a performance difference - no clue. Definitely feels more comfy higher. Maybe Brian Germain will step in with a few answers? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  10. I like the silver and orange Katana. Looks great in the air. The teal/blue velos look nice too, as do the blue and white Stiletto's and Sabre2's. The 'wonderbread' velocity though....that one I can do without
  11. Yep that was it Derrick. Thanks for the info everyone. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. I understand, correct me if I'm wrong, it (a reserve) only has to pass the drop test once within the specs to pass. Doesnt matter if it failed 30 times before that. Is that correct? Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. They were out of wheelchairs and respirators Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. No excuses. You had a bad day - move on
  15. Yeah, just waiting for Dave to release them. I believe he'll be posting them today. Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. Special thanks to Sam's mom for these awesome pics!! Both from this weekend. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. Don't feel bad - Katie dreamt the same thing Sat night (lost cutaway) and I dreamt I burned in under a triathalon (which is weird cause I've never even jumped one). Dreams are just F-ed up sometimes
  18. Great Waiting for Dave to post the results - don't want to steal any thunder. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. You really should watch for traffic Performance Designs Factory Team
  20. Can you post the scores for each round? I (and I'm sure others) would be interested to see the speed, distance and za scores for the event. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. I have a wrist mount and a neptune audible with canopy mode. I like the wrist mount, but I've seen one or two people with both a leg and wrist mount. I don't really have an issue seeing my wrist mount so I don't feel a need to get one on my leg. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. Cause the bank came up so fast (was my fault set up a bit shallow and had a monsterous swoop) as I came around the bank was there, so I just lifted my legs and slid on my knees to a stop. Nice soft grass rules Performance Designs Factory Team
  23. From a fun freestyle round after the CPC meet. Not my best but I was running outta pond fast Pic quality could be better, oh well Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  24. Nope. I still only wear 10 pounds of weight. The original record was set like that, or similar, and I've seen Jay, etc all go extremely far before they started loading extremely. Personally I believe the loading far to extreme for us 'regular jumpers' and borderline extreme for even the pros. 70 pounds of lead is no joke. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  25. Congrats! Ok - enough of my useless post whoring. I'm logging off to go to CPC round one for the Southeast region. Have a great weekend. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
