WOW.....hu....well...I bought all 21 jumps for the AFF upfront. Before I even did my first jump. Which I'm told is kind of odd. How did I know I wanted to do this? I had this funny feeling I would find peace via partaking in this sport. And after three jumps I can say it has brought me a good amount of inner peace and this sport will help me keep this level of peace. I was just saying all hobbies are expensive! Heck skiing is expensive now a days! An all day lift ticket can set you back well over $100! And if you want to eat...well that's another $50 And don't even talk about a nice warm jacket, gloves and pants and ski equipment. You can easily drop $400 for a pair of boots! Hobbies are expensive, this one has a higher than average price curve to get in. $1,600 for certification and another let's say $3,000 for equipment. But then what...average jump cost is $20? That's not bad! All I was saying is that hobbies are expensive, especially fun ones...unless you call gardening fun. And I personally feel it's well worth the cost. It's the money, they would love to jump. But $$$ is an issue. I wish I could help them but hell I'm half broke my self (that learning curve thing). It's OK mates, no worries! I know these three Colombian girls who are dying to do a tandem jump. They said they would bring Colombian pastries and lunch when they do their jumps. I believe in bringing people together. Hell I've only done three jumps and can't shut up about the sport at work or around friends and have discovered at least 4 people who always wanted to jump but never knew how safe and fun it was. And in a community this small, with a learning curve that taxes most peoples incomes perhaps the ability to laugh off a misplaced joke will serve to expand the community better than deep seated bitterness.
