  1. Blevins, As I have repeatedly said on this thread since 2009, a year before you washed up here, that FBI map is not realistic. Anyone can easily determine that is so by checking the times and alleged distances covered during those times. For instance when flying with a constant ground speed, you do NOT cover three miles in one minute and then cover six miles in the very next minute. Even RobertMBlevins should be able to understand that. Your implication that I have not been "on the record" about the flight path is nonsense. This matter has been discussed with you at length any number of times here and you always end up stating that you, in effect, accept the FBI map "on faith". Why don't you ask the Seattle FBI office why they released that map? As I understand it, you are on a first name basis with everyone in that office. Robert99

  3. No worries, Jo. Few people see those posts except the other participants. Their numbers are pathetic. Of course, Shutter will probably see this and come running over to claim he doesn't care about that. Well...neither do I. My old man told me once: Everyone gets what they deserve in the end. Some members are made up of folks who have already been banned from Dropzone. The paranoia runs rampant over there LOL. They don't let me see posts either. Problem is, either other staff members at Adventure Books send me screenshots of the latest insults, or Greg and I drop by on Sundays using HIS computer and have a laugh. It's nothing more than the same few people going back and forth, and viewed little by the public. Not a real surprise. What's even funnier is they bill themselves as the 'biggest forum on DB Cooper'. But they don't want some of the folks who are involved in the case even SEEING what is posted there. Mainly because some of the participants have either been caught in lies, or post up hateful crap on some of the people at Dropzone. After Georger got banned from Dropzone, he referred to me as an SOB over there. Not my fault he got banned, but his. Joins Meyer Louie, Galen Cook, and others who were banned here mostly for personal attacks. I told Greg to stop sending me the screenshots. We just look on weekends. I do keep an eye on the site, just to stay informed on who is two-faced when they post HERE.   4. Jo, I am amazed that you would accuse me, of all people, of evading questions about the flight path. There are NO believable ground eyewitness reports about the flight path. How did they manage to see the airliner since it was ABOVE an overcast plus two or three layers of other clouds? The co-pilot could easily see to the left side of the airliner which you could perhaps understand better if you took a look at his position with respect to the nose of the aircraft. So the co-pilot did not have to be east of Portland to see that city assuming that he could even do so through the overcast and other clouds. Robert99

No big deal, but if you even HINT again that the flight path was not really known...or that the money at Tina Bar ended up there because that's where Cooper landed...I'm going to remind you of your post there. Remember, even though no one at the Seattle FBI is willing to answer where that search map they have on the website originated, it still remains that they keep it posted there under DB Cooper. And that map shows a path miles EAST of Tina Bar, in fact, at least six miles east and on the other side of the Interstate 5 freeway. Blevins, Something seems to be getting lost in the translation. The actual flight path is the one that the Seattle ATC controllers directed the airliner along. If you have read their radio transcripts, you know that ever single thing that would help in determining that flight path has been redacted from those transcripts. Consequently, the flight path CANNOT be determined from those transcripts or anything else that is publicly available at this time. And that includes maps of unknown pedigree that are released by the FBI. And for the record, there are numerous reasons to believe that the flight did bypass Portland on the west side. All of this has been discussed at length on this thread but some people, such as Blevins and Jo Weber, need another flight path to support their Cooper candidates. And neither of them has been able to come up with a single fact to indicate their candidates were involved with the hijacking in any capacity. Robert99

They didn't because the information indicated Cooper jumped North of the Columbia and exited some place beteen Ariel and Battleground.... To have jumped over Vancouver or Portland - would have been asking to be caught or asking for certain death...yards, street lights, power lines and just about every obstacle you could possibly name! There are building and lighting in those area and the area too populated....Cooper exited before he ever reach the Vancouver area and his intentions were to jumped North of 500. He did NOT jump until after the plane crossed the Lewis River - there were 3 dams located on that river & even without visibility he was able to get a signal the plane was in the drop zone area. The signals on those tower are good with the best at that time the last one to the East....that is also the tower the old friend was working at...the one who temporarily lost his job because thre was a glich that night in the procedures...this was quickly glossed over with no reason given for the glich. Think about the technoglogy in that last Dam tower and think about the possibility of it being used briefly for another purpose. Just how this would work I do not know - but it was beyond the technology supposedly available at that time. Duane talked about that particular Tower more than once and of course the fact you knew someone who worked there....just a little too much of a co-incidence to me. R99 replies: Jo, ALL of the flight path information was included in the Seattle ATC transcripts and Oakland ATC transcripts that were provided to the FBI within one week of the hijacking. The flight path described by those transcripts is the ONE and ONLY valid flight path. There were NOT two flight paths. You will need to talk to the FBI people on the scene in 1971 about why they did whatever they did. You should read these transcripts and the cover letters instead of fabricating some silly stories about Duane having some highly developed radio receivers integrated into his underwear. Your stories don't even have the right organizations and locations in your claims about Duane's participation in various communication and electronic activities. Your claims are nothing but baloney regardless of how many times you repeat them. Robert99

Less than a week after the hijacking, the FBI had complete access to all relevant records and the flight path was precisely known. I simple stated that I thought the posting was interesting - but, I did NOT state it was accurate or it reflected what I had told other. YOU 4 some REASON need to attack viciously every post I make regardless - nor do you check out the source or even judge by the dates or the source....you just attack. It was the location of one of the several stops we made in 1979 and the stop or stops he referenced did not indicated Weber jumped there - just one of the many spots Weber did take me to and the many mysterious statements he made along with the specific places LATER becoming major factors in the location of the money.   11. Blevins, I have no idea who Dr. Rees is but I am NOT blowing him off. If you have read his book, does he mention the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics? If not, you should get in touch with Dr. Rees and refer him to those laws. Basically, those laws (which are among the very best proven physical laws in science) show that the planet is doomed regardless of famines, population size, nuclear wars, etc.. Those events will speed things up but the planet is still doomed regardless. The reason for the planet's eventual demise is the same reason that we can't have perpetual motion machines. Robert99

You don't have to reference Dr. Rees if you want to know the future of mankind.   14. Blevins, Forget about the Ancient Aliens, whoever or whatever they are/were, and stick to some simple facts. One of the things about wars is that technology undergoes great advances during such times. This is especially so with WW2. Then immediately following WW2, a long running Cold War started and it was also technology based. Millions of men and women, on both sides of the Cold War, were encouraged and supported in their efforts to pursue advanced educations and then to use their training to advance the technology base of their respective countries. Trillions of dollars were spent in these efforts. And spectacular technology advances were realized. Neither these advances or Roswell had anything to do with aliens. It was just a simple matter of millions of humans working their butts off to advance things. Finally, there were absolutely not any aliens (such as Little Green Men From Mars) in a freezer at WPAFB. If there had been, Amazon and I would have heard about it. The word would have gotten out regardless of the security level. Robert99

And basically there was no particular damage to the stairs from dragging on the taxiway. You might want to check the Oakland ATC radio transcripts on this point. During a takeoff with the stairs down but unlocked, the initial acceleration of the aircraft itself would tend to cause the stairs to lift off the pavement and within a few seconds the aerodynamics would take over and it is very unlikely that the stairs would contact the runway at any point in the rotation.   18. Blevins, I hate to have to tell you this but you apparently haven't bothered to read quite a few posts by other people over the years. So here it is again. A large number of people on this thread have stated over the years that it was obvious that Cooper intended to bail out as soon as possible and have said so here. So this thought is not original with you. There was actually no "risk" involved in taking off with the stairs down if they were not locked in the down position as they would be if passengers were boarding or departing. If the stairs were locked down, the airliner would not be able to rotate for take off. Also, Cooper (according to Tosaw) told Tina that he knew that the airliner could take off with the stairs down (but not locked). There is no evidence to support your claim that Cooper bailed out over any forests. That is simply your wishful thinking. In fact, there is no evidence to support a claim about any specific point as being where Cooper intended to bail out. But it does appear that he intended to leave "early" in the flight south. Also, there is nothing to support your statement that Cooper was "forced to bail out" anywhere. It was totally his decision. Robert99

  20. It might be an illusion Amazon. We jump. We socialize with jumpers. We see jumpers as a different breed and better than Whuffos in some respects. But it doesn't necessarily follow that making someone jump converts them into a person you'd like to hang out with. Jumpers self select. Those who don't jump (or pursue some analogous high risk sport) are different. One thing you are definitely right about. Jumping clears the mind. It's like nothing else I've ever experienced. Somehow I don't see World of Tanks doing the same thing but maybe I should try it. I'll do it if Blevins will make just one AFF jump. Or even an S/L jump. Static line jumps always scared me. Too low. Too much ground detail visible at exit. 377 Oh I know that.. seriously. I don't know about you but I think some of the "Cooper Royalty" are too whacked up in the head for me to even want to be in the same zip code with them. I was just hoping for some of them to get wee bit of clearing out the cobwebs with some high speed air. You might check into the zip codes on Pluto or somewhere beyond there. I understand that there are some lovely views out there. But frankly my dear, my guess is that your problem originates from not wearing a helmet when you are in a wind tunnel. It only takes a few head first flights into the tunnel wall to rearrange one's attitude about some things.

  22. First, Cooper didn't sign his name at all. He told the ticket agent his name was "Dan Cooper" and that is what the ticket agent wrote on the ticket. The "Dan" became "DB" when a reporter and a police officer had a miscommunication or simply bad information from someone. Cooper had a small attaché case and not a suitcase. There was no way that he could get a 1971 transponder in that case since it was already filled with a large battery and what was probably some road flares. Also, a transponder would not do him much good in determining his position. He would need additional equipment, which he did not have, to pinpoint his exact (or even general) position. And you can forget about Jo Weber's preposterous claim that Duane Weber had some specially modified underwear that permitted him to receive multiple radio signals and determine his position. Her claims are to silly to merit further comment or wasted time explaining things to her. Robert99

The child had made NO other such threats. Prior to that Bruce was more interested in the Blevins & child connection. Your criticism of Bruce Smith is totally uncalled for since he did take all of those threats seriously. Your dislike for Bruce is documented in your posts on this thread. You're pointing fingers at some autistic kid who may not know better on internet manners and protocol...while some of the adults who have posted here got themselves banned for REALLY bad behavior. That kid's posts are no worse than anybody else's I've seen. For example, MeyerLouie was banned from Dropzone for using the 'F' word in multiple personal attacks against actual users here. Until he was BANNED FOR LIFE. And he's not the only 'adult' this has happened to here. For the most part, the kid's comments were pretty tame, and fairly juvenile. I suppose it was appropriate for Bruce Smith to make a couple of phone calls, whatever on behalf of the kid because of that one post. But to broadcast his actions publicly with one nauseating 'update' after another is something else. It's self-serving and hasn't a thing to do with any real concern. I did the same thing, but I did it privately and I'm not going to be so crass as to post my results publicly. Bruce Smith says in part: Yes it can, and it will. I don't owe you an answer to anything. You just THINK I do.
  25. I was concerned about the timing Bruce used...he had just contacted the authorities (it was a week-end night). I knew the authorties would not be available to react over the wk-end. I responded ONLY AFTER Bruce made his action PUBLIC knowledge in a median the child could access. Robt99 - What would you have done if that had been YOUR GRANDCHILD? You would have been appalled someone contacted the authorites over a wk-end and before the authorities could react - a self fulling individual was BRAGGING about what he did before the authorities even had time to react. What Bruce did by publicizing his actions was to endanger that child. Jo, Do you actually understand that Bruce first informed the Georgia CPS people about this situation on August 9th which was 15 days ago? If anything, YOU - Jo Weber - were endangering the child by sitting on your hands and not informing the authorities yourself. You claim to have a grandchild with similar problems, you should have been the first to recognize the dangers and get in touch with the authorities just up the road from you in Atlanta. Robert99
