  1. Blevins, Paratroopers do NOT jump with their equipment bag swinging around like that. That bag is attached to the harness and is not released to drop below them until they are almost down to the ground. I have seen paratroopers release that bag but hold it between their feet until they cleared some power lines. After clearing the power lines, they let it drop down to the end of its tether and then made a normal landing. Robert99 Things don't swing around in a still photo. They are still. If you don't believe that's what Cooper had in mind when he tied up the bag, and then did the cord around his waist...then why do you think he did those things with the bag and the cord? I doubt he was tying the rope around his waist to try and lower himself to the ground. If he released the bag, he probably did that after the chute had fully inflated. The picture, other than the military garb, makes perfect sense. I believe you disagreed with my assessment not because it is impossible, but because I was the one who suggested it. My personal opinion, due to the fact that Cooper did not have a reserve chute, is that he went to the bottom of the stairs...held onto the bag...and then pulled the ripcord right off the stairs. Once it inflated, it would pull him away from the aircraft. He may have released his hold on the stairs while the chute was actually inflating. Once he stabilized and the chute was fully inflated, that's when he would have let the bag drop below him. As long as the bag and the paracord holding it were not subject to full opening shock, (because he is holding the bag) it would be more than able to support the twenty-two pounds of money from the paracord holding it. Type 3 550 cord has a minimum of 550 pounds strength. I'm not a skydiver, but I know that much. Cooper taking a freefall off the stairs with a single, untested chute? Sure, that could happen. But that takes more nerve than most people possess. Pulling off the stairs to MAKE SURE THE DAMN THING WORKS before you just leap out there into darkness...is much more likely in this situation. It is safer, and more like a static line jump. If the chute doesn't pop, then you can go back up the stairs and try the sport model. I don't believe for a second he just went to the bottom of those stairs with that money bag and a single parachute and yelled 'Geronimo'. Engines sceaming above your head? Probably some fluctuations on the stairs when he already had to use his own weight to force them down? It's dark, it's noisy as hell? Probably over an area he wasn't planning on anyway? At night? Not a chance in hell. I would bet money on it. He eased his ass to the bottom of those stairs and just tried the ripcord right there. As I said, if it doesn't work, he can go back and try the other chute. To just trust your life to a single chute without knowing if it will work, well...that's hard to swallow. Especially when you have another chute available up in the cabin. Look, I understand popular culture likes to believe Cooper just leaped off into the night like it was nothing. But I have tried many times to put myself into the shoes of someone who would actually be crazy enough to leap out the back of a jet at night, using a set of moving stairs. And every time I think about it, and couple that with the stair problems, the no-reserve, the added weight of the money bag, I just don't see a Geronimo here. I see a guy who probably eased himself down the steps backwards and pulled the cord at the bottom. This makes sense if you take into account the conditions he faced. He had to have wondered whether the chute would even work, and with no reserve, why would he take a chance on that when there is the OTHER chute available? Just in case...

  3. Replies to Blevins list above by number: 1. The only factual conclusion that can be drawn is that Cooper knew the approximate driving time from McChord AFB to SEATAC. 2. Evidence of Cooper did turn up on the ground. It is the money that he was seen tying around his waist and which later turned up at Tina Bar. 3. The simple fact that the money did turn up at Tina Bar, and at least a significant period of time after the hijacking, is evidence that he landed on solid (or reasonably so) ground and not in water. 4. Basically, what happened to the missing reserve parachute is meaningless. There is no evidence that it was a positive factor in the jump. If Cooper jury rigged it to the back pack parachute, it would have a negative impact on his survival. The same goes for the missing brief case. 5. Cooper apparently did want to jump relatively early and near the Seattle area. This does not mean that he was from the Seattle area but it probably suggests that he wanted to jump reasonably close to civilization. 6. I believe the FBI has stated that a number of means were used to identify the Amboy parachute (the one Blevins is obviously referring to). And the FBI had the parachute documentation paperwork and knew how all four parachute were obtained regardless of what Cossey said. 7. That assumption is beyond belief. 8. The assumption that Cooper was still holding some of the money five years after the hijacking is another real stretch. Basically, Cooper didn't have anything to worry about after five years. He was home free if he was still breathing. 9. There is no evidence to support any such scenario. 10. I believe that the FBI stated that the descriptions of Cooper given by each of the flight attendants were consistent. The weather on the evening of the hijacking was measured as usual by the National Weather Service and can be found in their records. The flight attendants are the ones who interacted with Cooper throughout the hijacking and their descriptions of his actions take precedence over that of others who were not involved with him. 4. Jo, That post mentions some of the actual claims that you have made against some people on this thread. Now you are claiming that pointing out your negative remarks is somehow an attempt to discredit you. Jo Weber has discredited herself and doesn't need any help from anyone else. And Jo Weber is now saying that her own posts have no place on DZ. That may well be her most accurate statement in 18 years. Robert99
  5. Jo, You are the master of negative remarks. You have called me an ass, a phony, a moron, a plant from the FBI to make sure the Cooper case is never solved (even you don't recognize how silly that one is!), and other such names. You have accused Bruce Smith of murdering Earl Cossey. You have accused Georger of being responsible for JFK's assassination. And on and on and on. Would you call those negative remarks? When was the last time (or maybe the first time?) you made an informative post on this thread? Robert99
  6. Blevins, Tina Bar is WEST, not NORTH, of Vancouver. Robert99
  7. Blevins, Since you joined this thread on August 1, 2010 and Jo Weber joined it at its creation, the two biggest posters on this thread have been RobertMBlevins and Jo Weber (Skyjack71). You and Jo have accounted for 50+ percent of the posts here. And both of you have the habit of posting the longest ones possible. So did you see your and Jo's usernames on the "filthy comments" page that you keep referring to? Robert99
  8. Blevins, Since you didn't join DZ until August 1, 2010, you could not have posted here prior to that date and the claims you make above could not have happened as you allege. Also, you have repeatedly mentioned 300 or more "filthy comments" that you claim posters here made on other web pages. From what I can find out, you are the only one who has seen those comments. Did you post them yourself? After all, you claim to have great skills at hacking and such. Robert99
  9. Roberto Nine-Nine! How can you say that? I thought my regal status was self-evident. Although my therapist wants me to talk more about that...she keep using words like delusions, fantasies, grandiosity, etc, but I simply consider my beliefs as "visions of greatness." Don't you? She did stump me last session when she asked, "So, Bruce, when you can levitate, where are you going to go, and what will do when you get there?" So, I'm going back tomorrow. I don't have an answer for her, per se, but it's a process, ya know.... Bruce, Stick with your shrink. And see if she can help get Jo Weber to another one. Robert99
  10. Reichenbach, Assuming that you are addressing all those questions to Robert99, as opposed to RobertMBlevins, I'll try to answer the ones that I have direct information on. First, there is no such thing as "Cooper Royalty". Second, you will have to address RobertMBlevins about the square sports parachute on the cover of the dust jacket. And you might want to check into his statements on the back side of the dust cover. Third, you will also have to address RobertMBlevins about his claims concerning Gray's book. While I have read Gray's book, I didn't find anything that would be of interest from an investigative standpoint. Fourth, I have read Tosaw's book and it's probably the best book on Cooper from the point of a researcher. Tosaw was also a former FBI agent and he spent quite a bit of his own money investigating Cooper. Fifth, from what I have seen, McCoy was not involved in the Cooper hijacking in any capacity. Sixth, I agree completely with you about the vast majority of Cooper book writers. Seventh, this thread (and an earlier one also on DZ) was set up originally to provide a discussion forum for people who were interested in helping the FBI in the Cooper investigation. It was not set up to support the writing of books on Cooper. And it sure as hell was NOT set up to help RobertMBlevins peddle his book. Blevins and one other person on this thread have accounted for about 50 percent of the posts here in the last few years. And these two people have been so disruptive that the real research on the Cooper hijacking has now been moved to another web page. Robert99
  11. Blevins, Are you acting as your own lawyer here? I believe the burden of proof is on you to prove that your allegations are true. And basically you don't have any proof. If you think Geestman is going to have to prove a negative in court, I think you will be the one in for a big surprise. Robert99
  12. Jo, Your statement that Medicare does not help with the medical aspects of home care is simply not true. You claim there is no solution to your problems which is pure baloney. You need to make up your mind on one point. Do you want to get your medical problems taken care of or do you just want to continue to whine and bitch about everything? If you want to whine and bitch, you can probably find a better and more receptive web page than this one on which to do so. Robert99
  13. *** I do not know how I will handle a cast from mid upper arm to the tips of my fingers for 6 wks - I have no one to help me. I can't afford to hire some one & then HOW long before you can do normal things. Jo, In Senior Citizen Florida, there is undoubtedly something like a Visiting Nurse Program to help people such as yourself. So check with your Doctor about it and it will probably be covered by Medicare. Robert99
  14. Jo, It didn't happen and couldn't have happened the way you claim. Your whole post is just a product of your hyper-active imagination. And your claims of knowledge of "missing communications" only originated within the past few weeks. The Portland International Airport tower was not involved in communicating with the aircraft since the aircraft was being controlled by the Seattle Air Traffic Control Center. It was also in contact with NWA in Minneapolis by means of a phone patch through the ARINC radio system. Now you are trying to blame Sluggo for disappearing communications after previously blaming him for the disappearance of Duane's supposed DNA/pocket lint from a pocket knife. Dream on. Robert99
  15. Blevins, You are the one who is attempting to re-create and change history. If you had gone to the original sources (documents, etc.) on KC, you probably would never have done anything further. We are going to the original source and that source is NOT Rataczak. Robert99
  16. Blevins, You are quite a joker. Have you read the back side of the dust cover for your book on KC? Robert99
  17. Jo, Answers to your above comments: 1. It is obvious you don't give a hoot about being factual. 2. You apparently can see things that I can't see because they don't exist. 3. It is obvious that you haven't researched the facts of the crime. And now you claim that your bitching to 377 about Duane wearing underwear that could receive VOR signals is not technical stuff? Maybe 377 would comment on that point again just to keep the facts straight. Finally, just what is your job here? Robert99
  18. Jo, A "vector" is a distance (or quantity of some kind) in a specified direction. Supposedly, you are referring to the "Victor" Airways which are used in low altitude navigation in the USA. So it took you 18 years to learn that Tina described the bomb as being on the left side of the briefcase? Her description is given in the "FBI Notes" which have been around forever. Apparently you didn't have time to read those notes due to all of your other important research. Or just maybe you learned about the bomb being on the left side of the brief case from the "FBI Notes" quote that I included in post #57490 on February 25th, which I think was just two days ago. Also, if left-handed people sit on the left side of the aircraft and right-handed people sit on the right side of the aircraft, then about 90 percent of the people would sit on the right side of the aircraft and 10 percent on the left side. Using your logic, Cooper was right-handed since he sat on the right side of the airliner. Robert99
  19. Excellent! You're learning fast. There's hope yet for you.
  20. " ______________________________________________ Gosh..this Cooper case is a labyrinth and I aint a Cooper royalty ...I seriously have no clue what are you taking about...help me understand where can I read more about what u saying...the film etc. Thousandthings, Oh come now, even after only 39 posts you should be aware that there are several certified screwballs on this thread. What are you surprised about? Robert99
  21. Here is an entry in the "FBI Notes" for 7:55 PM PST with Tina back in the cockpit. "MSPFO asked for stewardess best recollection of exact content of HJ briefcase. She got on radio [this would be the radio patch to MSP thru the ARINC network] and gave following basic information: - Eight red sticks, about 6" by 1" in left corner of briefcase, 'look like big firecrackers.' Two rows of sticks, four on top of four. - Wire attached to dynamite with red insulation. - Battery 'like flashlight battery, but about 6" high and as big around as my arm.' - Red sticks are about the color 'of my uniform.' " My interpretation of Tina's remarks are that the sticks and the battery were about the same length. The battery was probably the same kind as Sluggo has pictured on his web page. Perhaps the battery's length can be found more accurately and provide a more accurate estimate of the length of the sticks. The wires that ran from the battery to the sticks had red insulation. And the color of the sticks was about the same shade of red as Tina's uniform. Himmelsbach looked at a NWA stewardess' uniform and got the impression that Tina might be describing road flares. Robert99 Road flares have a cap on top and writing on them. The instructions for use. Even if you take off the plastic cap, there is still the black ignitor on top. Easily recognizable. And they are longer than six inches. Just saying. Blevins, Do you understand that Tina was describing what SHE saw in the briefcase? Under the limited conditions she had to view the items in the briefcase, no one would expect her estimates of 1" in diameter and 6" long to be exactly correct. Which is why I suggested that the battery proposed by Sluggo, if its measurements can be located, would be useful in determining the actual lengths of the sticks. Further, Tina did not mention the "top" of the sticks or how the wires were connected to the sticks. So don't jump to conclusions. And it was Himmelsbach, not Tina, that suggested the sticks might be road flares. Just saying. Robert99

  23. Blevins, As I understand it, you feel your job is to make the allegations. Then you pass the buck to the FBI. Of course you will continue to try to sell your screen play, "KC is Cooper", to anyone who is dumb enough to pay five bucks for it. Robert99
  24. Probably for the same reasons some posters on this thread do the same thing. This is true. I heard about some guy who thinks the plane actually overflew the Columbia...before it reached Portland.
  25. Jo, You have previously claimed that Duane woke up one night screaming "I left my fingerprints on the rear stairs.", or some such thing. The "rear stairs" being those on the 727. So how do you explain the discrepancies in your stories? If Duane/Cooper sit on the left side of the aircraft, it would be because he wanted to sit in Bill Mitchell's lap. So how do you explain that one? Robert99
