    Depending on the salary, raises are necessary. I'm more of a believer in bonuses... even though they get taxed differently I spent many years in government admin. We LOVED people who loved bonuses. They save the company in the long run. Raises are percentages of PREVIOUS raises, bonuses are percentages of STAGNANT wages. Your pension and social security and all kinds of additional things are based on your wages. So the lower your wages continue to remain, the fewer dollars required by the company to fund things like SS and pensions, which means in the long term, you lose.     We did a quick little 4 day cruise one time. Just the right amount of surf, sand and sex. And we could consume all the alcohol we wanted and didn't have to have a DD. Very romantic, secluded and CHEAP skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

    I was sitting in my van in my driveway. Bolt overhead zaps right into my house, hit the electrical light switch and burned up the top 1/3 of my building. Huge ass fire.     yup, and the cost of traveling goes up for the planes and skydivers alike. I am glad that Perris is bringing a load or two of jumpers with them to help defray costs, and so folks can bring cooler stuff than they would on a commercial flight skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

    Next to the last batch of poster winners announced yesterday on www.freefall.com. We still have one batch of 5 or so, depending on how many are left. and there is still one Hialtitude or helicopter jump left to give away, as well as one jacket. I'm in Rantoul, measuring and laying out maps and painting and cleaning and drinking, and drinking and drinking. Well it's HOT here! Got stay well hydrated, right? See you guys soon!     So I'm standing in the middle of the post office mailing out the posters that people had won, and my cell phone rings. It's the girls in the office. We'd had a phone call from the tonight show, wanting more info on the WFFC, could I call them back? So I called this interesting character named Izzy, who said he was going to pitch the WFFC to the producers to see if they would allow him to come and do a piece on you guys! I gave him tons of info. He said they would like to come and spend three days living in tent city, to experience the actual event, and culminate with a tandem. They wanted to know if anyone would have a helmet cam. I said anyone? How about almost EVERYONE! You'll have plenty of film! Cross your fingers that Izzy is capable of talking them into it! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

    On this website there is a skydiver named Frenchcloud, you may have met him at the WFFC last year, his name is Patrick Mercier. He lives in Paris. PM him. Just remember that he will be at the WFFC again this year, so those dates are out for him, but he jumps at a dz near Paris, so he had buds you could probably hang with if the dates don't work out. If you see him, ask to see the DVD he cut of the WFFC last year, it's amazing! I have his email address somewhere if he doesn't check this forum quickly enough for you.     My sister has Graves disease. She has done the radioactive treatment twice, which I guess is the limit. She is doing MUCH better this year than in previous years. My daughter in law has just had a cancerous thyroid removed, and they took her off of her meds so they can start some chemo? I believe, any way, her symptoms have all come back, due to the lack of meds. She is looking forward to finishing the cancer treatments so she can go back on the meds and feel better.
