  8. Oh my gosh, they're on to us. I'm gonna have to tell all of my sisters to lay low. Yea, I was introduced to this scam, too, and have been running one of my own since 1974. My mother was an ace at it, and she pretty much MADE all of my sisters and me get into it, too... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  9. Man, and I thought about calling you today. I picked up the phone to do it, and someone from the office called me at that precise moment, and I lost my direction, and never got it back. You'll hear from me tomorrow! See, now you went and did it! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

  15. My daughters dog "tandem" got out about a month ago. We searched all day til very dark. My 4 year old grandson was heartbroken, and didn't want to go to bed til Tandem came home. Next day, we had to spring her from doggie jail. Funny thing is, she had never left the yard in 5 years, but that day she took off. Who knows what motivates them. Just really glad to have her back! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  16. Hey on the next update don't forget Gary Peek, he's the man when it comes to load organizing. I'm just not gonna burn up the band width (again) skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  17. I think I have gotten as many requests as I have posters, here at my house. I'll run an inventory, and make sure that I don't over promise. If there are any more at the hangar, maybe we'll make them part of the pre-registration give aways, how does that sound? skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  18. Hey! you guys are quick on the ball, got 5 takers in about as many minutes! I still have a few.... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  19. Hey! I have about a dozen or so posters left that were made for us by Miller Lite. Cool pics, lots of color. I am mailing out the last batch this week. If you want one for your dz (yea, you can steal it after the WFFC) email me. I'll mail it to you! freefallbeth@yahoo.com skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  20. Hey there are just a couple of weeks to get in the drawing(s) for WFFC pre-reg. 2 jackets left 1 23,000 ft jump or Heli jump (your choice) Gotta be pre-registered to win, so don't miss out. btw, your name stays in the hat for the jump, even if you win a jacket (or have already won one) skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  21. Get TWO alarm clocks, one next to your bed set at the first time, you will ignore it. The one with the bells on top across the room set for 10 minutes later. By the time you get the first one, then the second one turned off, you will be awake. I did this for one of my foster kids who had a truancy record at school, because he couldn't wake up. I don't even own an alarm clock. If I tell myself I have to get up at a certain time, my body just wakes me up then. I don't know how. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  22. Can I just bring my Ipod with...Make it one big surpize! That is if I do make the trip down... Of course you are making the trip down. You wouldn't miss it for the world,,, or your shoulder either.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  23. This year we are going to have a one day fee for those who are in your situation. Anything less than a 10 day band really does require TONS of administration (have you ever looked at the huge band boards we have, those security guys have their work cut out!) I had never thought of the reverse procedure that you are recommending, because so many people COLLECT our bands, it never occured to me that anyone would turn it in! But that is an outstanding idea, turn it in for a refund, but only if you have paid cash in the first place. Again, lots of admin, but little question.. Hmmm. too late for this year, but something to definitely think about for next. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  24. Listen, if anyone from QCSC is going to SDC this Week, let me know, cuz I could take it to Hector on Thursday when I go to Rantoul, if they deliver it to me before that. Some of our guys go to SDC on Wednesdays, and I could hook up with them if they pick it up for you. I'll post a note on the QCSC board too, incase. Hey Opie, you reading this? skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
  25. Yes, we are not in agreement with the vendor fees as well. Mostly the fact that we have to pay full registration for ourselves and our staff on top of the vendor fee (an additional $280.00). We have discussed this issue with the folks at WFFC. As far as registration goes for the Boogie itself, I honestly would not have a problem paying $70 for 10 DAYS of pure fun ($70 for entertainment and beer is cheap). Like I said above as a paying vendor I DO have a PROBLEM with paying $70 for ourselves and our staff who are working 99.9% of the boogie. Now if I were just coming for a weekend I wouldn’t be happy about paying full registration at all! But from the conventions point of view....how can you manage having different priced registration fees based on length of stay per person? It would be a nightmare to manage and monitor. All I know is I cant wait to see everyone and thanks for the kind words pops
