I don't speak for the gay rights groups but that seems like a never-ending proposition. Besides, how would you (or I) know if they WERE spending every last dollar they had refuting the lies on this and other sites? Their press releases would never make it to mainstream media. We'd never know. And regarding your comment that "it should be easy for you to show such info," who do you think I am? Oh yeah. I found the video. It shows two dancers on stage in a dark auditorium doing a very sexualized dance. It also shows two men kissing in a huge crowd of dancing men. It looks like a nightclub to me. It might be on Disney grounds for all I know but it doesn't look like somewhere that kids are likely to wander in to. First Class Citizen Twice Over

If blacks were wrongly associated by the public with child molestors, then it certainly would be in their best interest to do so. But they are not, so it is not relevant. But black people ARE wrongly associated by the public with crime and drugs. So should all black skydivers change their sig line to "Even though I'm black I don't steal or deal cocaine"? I have no direct experience, but examine the photos. * Most show happy, costumed, presumably gay people at a theme park doing nothing wrong * A few show gay men in outrageous, revealing costumes with no clue where they are. It looks like a strip club to me. * Some show the shirtless back of some guy with "GAY DAYS" written on his skin. That looks staged to me. * One shot of a boy with his hand on his lover's ass. That's a little tacky I admit, but hardly worth the fuss. ***Very few have even been willing to touch on the subject of what happens there. Silence can speak volumes, or something like that. This is a bit over dramatic. I haven't been there and I don't know anyone who has. I have a strong suspicion that "Gay Days" hardly exists outside of the paranoid minds of a bunch of Militant Homophobes. I suspect what we've got here is 10,000 gay people enjoying the park and 20,000 homophobes scurrying around with cameras looking for ANYTHING they can take a picture of to make a loud noise about. You can just bet they'd have publicized the WORST they could find. If the worst is someone resting his hand on his lover's jean pocket, that shows just how little is actually going on here. During every gay rights event, they could make their position clear during speeches, for instance. It is an unfair burden for them to have to do so, but their interests are at stake. So should I change my sig line to say, "Even though I am homosexual I'm still against child molestation"? Would that help? First Class Citizen Twice Over

What does any of this have to do with markharju's claim about "most gays"? We're losing cabin pressure again! First Class Citizen Twice Over

You're right. I didn't follow your link. You posted a link to a site that's AGAINST "Gay Days". That ANTI-HOMOSEXUAL site has a big gallery of men being highly sexualized apparently in a sexy bar. There's also a lot of breathless, obviously exaggerated horror fantasies. The photos and stories are reminiscent of the Weekly World News. What does this have to do with Disney and children? I have no idea what you're talking about with this comment about our "sneering contempt." Where the hell do you get this bizarre information? First Class Citizen Twice Over

I didn't reply because I was distracted with other things. But Gay Day at Disney sounds like it might be a lot of fun. I've never gone, but I assume it's when a whole bunch of happy people go see Mickey Mouse and ride the roller coasters. Is this a bad thing? Did I miss something? First Class Citizen Twice Over

No, I asked for the militant homosexual agenda. You pointed to the militant pedophilia agenda to imply they're the same thing and thus that homosexuals are pedophiles. Mostly what you've said in these gay threads has just been flawed by all the logical fallacies but this is the one thing you've said that's truly evil. First Class Citizen Twice Over

And this is known as the Fallacy of the False Dilemma. He implies that if the homosexual community doesn't DO SOMETHING about nabla they're somehow demonstrating that they ARE nabla. He wants you to believe there is no third option. There's also a smattering of the Fallacy of the Hasty Generalization. He assumes homosexuals don't do anything about nabla because in own his personal experience he hasn't noticed. And again, there's the Fallacy of the False Analogy inasmuch as he thinks homosexuals are somehow responsible for running nabla out of town. First Class Citizen Twice Over

markharju makes the common assumption that if group A has something in common with a group B, then you can feel free to claim (or imply) OTHER things that are true of A must be true of B. This is technically known as the Fallacy of the False Analogy. Colloquially it's called "Guilt by Association". Edit: I'll fill this out more for the slow: markharju implies that since nabla members are male and have sex with males (which is also true male homosexuals as a whole) then we can tar and feather all homosexuals with nambla's pedophilia as well. He's clever enough not to say that outright because it would make him look stupid, but he's also clever enough to know that just implying it makes the point while maintaining his own plausible deniability. Can someone find me a link to the Militant Homo Agenda? I'd like to join up. I look great in a uniform and I can pick off a clay pigeon with a revolver. First Class Citizen Twice Over

Let me get this straight... You think husbands and wives holding hands is offensive? A wife using the phrase "my husband" in a sentence is crass? Men and women getting married is tasteless? Movies with straight characters are all three? Or are those things only troublesome when we substitute "gay people" for "straights"? If you're really that prudish, I think you've got a great big battle ahead of you and it has nothing to do with gay people. First Class Citizen Twice Over

In other words, the "right" to be everybit as tasteless, crass and offensive as Breeders. What item in my list is tasteless, crass, or offensive? First Class Citizen Twice Over

No, I don't mean "screwing in public". I mean doing the same public things heterosexuals do in public. Here's a short list of the militant things the homosexual ninja are after: holding hands and kissing outdoors smiling at each other, whispering personal things, and otherwise acting like lovers saying "my husband", "my wife", etc without it sidelining the conversation having joyful religious and civil ceremonies seeing other obvious couples similar to themselves in public seeing movies with themes and characters they identify with and, for some, lobbying their elected officials for things important to their lives I could have added "... just like heterosexuals do every single day" to the end of each item. As far as I can tell, "they're in my face" means "they're not hiding their existence anymore and acting as if they were people." First Class Citizen Twice Over
-
But a little more seriously, I suspect what "in my face" really means is "as visible as my life is". In other words, markharju (and many others) feel that everyone is entitled to do things they enjoy, but only markharju (and that other oppressive majority) are entitled to do them outside. Oh you guys! I TOLD you not to handcuff markharju and drag him kicking and screaming to Brokeback Mountain then prop his eyelids open with toothpicks until the closing credits! First Class Citizen Twice Over

How fascinating that you think about receiving anal sex this way. Ok, things are getting a LITTLE weird here. Now things are DEFINITELY getting weird. We have lost cabin pressure. First Class Citizen Twice Over

He doesn't seem to have an opinion of your sexuality, and he doesn't seem to care who you have sex with. It's his sexual orientation that keeps coming under the microscope, not yours. So why do you need to have an opinion about his? RL, your answer was far better than anything I'd say. I've fallen out of the mood to argue with people who intentionally miss the point. Tonight I had a delicious dinner with several REALLY delicious glasses of scotch with my GAY LOVER of 7 wonderful years. Arguing with simpletons about my sexuality on a skydiving website just doesn't seem worth my time right now. Oops, he's calling to me come in and join him in bed. See y'all! Everything else you said in your post was wrong. This on the other hand is hilarious. First Class Citizen Twice Over

Yeah, because without straight people there would be no one to populate the world with gay people. Thank you for explaining the joke. It's always much funnier when someone explains it. The Argument from Non-existence of Homosexuality in Animals is repeated over and over and over. The key command must be right next to the "Adam and Steve" macro on the standard-issue anti-homosexual keyboard. However, it's about the stupidist argument in the world. The premise is, "Not even animals do it." If we counter that yes, animals DO exhibit homosexual behaviors, the reply is, "Oh, so you justify your actions based on what foul animals do? We humans are supposed to be above the animals." In other words, if the evidence goes one way, that's seen as proof of the position. If the evidence goes the OTHER way, that's ALSO seen as proof of the position. In philosophy, this is called a non-falsifiable proposition. You lose. First Class Citizen Twice Over

Again, nobody has asked you to imagine this. What drives you anti-homosexual-types to keep imagining yourselves doing homosexual acts that revolt you? I somehow get through entire days without closing my eyes and visualizing myself having vaginal intercourse or performing cunnilingus. It just doesn't occur to me to think about it. At the same time, I'm not at all bothered that other guys like it. I just don't care. Homophobes have some weird drive to visualize themselves in homosexual situations, get ill at the thought, then announce how horrible it seems. And at the same time it somehow drives their hatred and disgust for those who do like those things. I wonder if the hatred would fade if they could just get the obsessive images out of their heads. Wow. I'm really impressed. That was a great, thoughtful post. In reality, my one-liner that started all this ("In a gay world straight people would be treated with respect.") is so full of untraceable assumptions and hypotheticals that it's complete nonsense. I know this and obviously you do too. I don't think the category of gay people is necessarily intrinsically less prone to oppression than the category of straight people. But then I don't blame straight people as a group for the horrors a lot of gay people suffer. Instead I blame the category of people who like to oppress, no matter what excuse they can find for doing so. I haven't found a lot of that kind of person in the gay community so far. They probably exist but they are very rare, at least in my experience. They're pretty rare in the straight world as well, but common enough to cause a lot of trouble. Maybe the percentages are equal though. I haven't looked closely enough to say. First Class Citizen Twice Over
