i bought a new 250 gb sata for my laptop a couple years back and ditched the 60 gb... cant complain! i partitioned it 3 ways: 40 gb for my install drive, 10 gb for my linux drive, and the rest ~200 gb for my storage (install apps, music, pics, movies) so if i get the urge to format the os, i just have to change one setting (pointer to my documents) and pretty much back to normal. just install what i want and be on my way many years of loosing all my stuff because the os crapped out on me got me to start doing it this way, and 0 issues since. I also keep an external terrabyte hdd and once in a while ill sync what i have to it.
