    If you are looking for used gear, be aware that not all older vectors and javelins can be retrofit. I don't think ANY rig can be retrofitted.     I always use the good foil tape... that wont come off skin without taking some with it... A couple wraps easily holds hands/feet together, and a quick slice with the knife will cut right through it!     This problem is solved as simply as buying a new set of risers. For the most part, you can even use risers from any manufacturer with any rig. Look around at your dropzone and see which design you like best then ask your rigger if that design will work with your rig. Pay money, get new risers in mail, have rigger hook them up (or do it yourself and have a rigger check your work) then... Problem solved. Watch out, might have some master riggers coming in here telling us we can't do 'Alterations' to the system!     Actually, I would recommend against pillow reserve handle for the time being. Being new you should stick to what is familiar (stainless handle). It provides a more positive/easy manner of extraction. Well I am perfectly fine with the stainless handle for now. Maybe it's a very stupid question from a skydiving noob, what's the advantage of articulation vs, non-articulation? Is it purely a comfort option, or is there more to it? I actually know a couple swoopers that prefer NOT to have the articulated hips. They say it gives them more harness input vs the harness just re-adjusting on the ring.
