    Jerry, MEL & everyone else Got the motor yesterday, but didn't have a drill handy (as it was set up for a different mount than the table already had) Today I punched 3 3/8" holes in the table and mounted the motor. Went to Pep Boys (don't judge me, I'll get the proper belt in due time) and brought the (cut to length) belt to measure, after a dozen or so, we got the size that would fit. Got home, mounted the belt, tightened it down... damn its nice to be able to slow the machine way the hell down! Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll post pics once I get the table cleaned up and presentable.     Interesting, they don't bolt up the same way. Gonna have to go pull a drill out of somewhere and punch 3 x 3/8" holes to mount this motor to the table. Shoulda noticed that before I took it all apart... woopsie!     Weird. I've seen them do it if you have an officer decal on the car (blue bar with the post name) but never without that and/or an ID that says O-something. Oh, we have stickers... which I don't like... but that a whole other vent... and I find it to be strange because... imho they're saluting the object (my car) not me... and as for saluting my wife... when she shows her dependent ID that's just odd... and frankly it's only happened since we've started working at a navy base... it never happened at Air Force Bases... Yup, and even then, it depends on if its a civilian gate guard, or an MP. I won't have that problem. No more 'Good morning, Sergeant' when I go thru the gate.     But sometimes they don't have a clue. I was working as a civilian at Andrews AFB in the mid-eighties. For some reason whenever I drove onto the base on the Air Force side, where I worked on the Army GIIIs, the guys would snap to attention and salute. On the Navy side they just looked and waved. I kinda enjoyed the snap-to. jon I went up to Washington (state, not DC) as an army e-3, the navy guards at the post saluted me as I drove in... Was pretty weird.     Remember, this is the only thing I CAN SEE that may give them reason... If the brake line is tensioned right, it could lock the toggle in there. Another possibility is you could put your hand thru the brake line and end up with a knot (if the brake line is long enough) But, really... I'm just guessing.     When I get fired at my current job, I'll give you my resume. I could easily go a whole 6 more years not telling people how much they suck. Even have about 10 years experience in it! lol! except you dont want my job. You make a lot more than me right now. Keep your job. Well, I could be unemployed in 6 months, or in the middle east, HoA or whereever else they deem I'm needed in 72 hours, for however long they want me there. Its not exactly a stable job.     Suits are expensive, and a couple bad landings can really tear them up I would use the student jumpsuits for as long as they would let me, or till I was consitently having nice stand up landings.
