It's interesting, the recommendation letter as appears in Poynter's, was never required by the FAA. It was basically a 'courtesy. Now, it is widely accepted. Chuck

Several years ago, I had one of THOSE buddies! He was supposed to have brought me 5-student rigs for I&R. (I had previously, I&R'd them.) Before I was supposed to have gotten them, one of the seals had been broken and 'someone' put another rigger's seal on the rig without my knowledge. Instead of bringing the rigs to me, he took them to a master rigger friend of his who saw the seal was not mine but, my signature was on the packing data card. I was contacted by the FAA about it. I was eventually 'cleared' of all charges. All it takes is one dick-head to cause a whole pile of trouble for someone. Chuck

__________________ I agree! MJ is a whacko. The prosecutor and the sheriff in his case have been on Jackson's ass for over 10-yrs. They had a weak case. I think also, there was a lot of 'reasonable doubt'. MJ, had some damned good defense. You can bet your Torts, they'll be watching MJ... one slip-up and he'll be right back in a courtroom. So, all, I called it... Even though I didn't know anything about the case... ________________________________- You got lucky! BUT, it stands to reason he walked... it's California... he's a celebrity. Seriously, the State, didn't really have much of a case and his 'accusors' aren't the most reliable (for lack of a better word). Now, we'll see if, his accusors sue him in civil court. Chuck
