  1. The lady I said that to is devout Baptist and we were able to kid around. She would come-up with some of the craziest Catholic stuff. I was raised Catholic. Just good fun. Chuck
  2. As long as you do it with friends and they know you're just having light-hearted fun with them and expect the same from them, it's all good. Them's the rules! I don't see it among 'friends', anymore. Chuck
  3. That's true! I recall a time, way back in my youth, when ethnic jokes were quite common. We told them to those of various ethnicities and religous background... no big deal. We threw verbal jabs at one another knowing there was nothing behind them more than a big outburst of laughter. Even from who the joke was pointed at. Just try that today and you'll get your ass kicked! Chuck
  4. Several years ago, I upset a lady I worked with who is very much Baptist. I said that at the recent Baptist conference, they decided that Baptists would be allowed to recognise each other at the lliquor store. That was back before 'PC'. Chuck
  5. We got our Dish Network bill and it was suddenly $5.00 higher than last month. After a calm, questioning of 'why', with them over the phone, they are not going to charge us the extra $5.00. Chuck
  6. Sad to hear that. I really get a kick out of that song. Chuck
  7. Is that North Dakota sweater you're wearing in your avatar? I'll tell you what, the Blackhawks are definately on a roll! Chuck
  8. Probably not. But not nearly as cheap as that shot taken at her. Buying a house and selling at a profit after improvements made. How the fuck does that tie in to the Kennedy's other than location? Typical media Cheap Shot. Typical mindless bandwagon fodder. Enjoy the ride. Just media folks looking for the 'big scoop'. What happened to the 'real' news reporters? Chuck
  9. If you pick a chick, we'll need video.
  10. That visor had a lot of help!! To beat the Blackhawks in regulation? A better team, maybe? Chuck
  11. Dang, Chuck! Bust our balls willya? We could at least pretend that we could keep up with one, right? Nothin' wrong with wishful thinking! Chuck
  12. One can learn a lot with a little conversation. Chuck
  13. Hittable? Two words: Faith Hill Nuff said, JerryBaumchen I'll take the twenty-something. Hell, at our age, it's like the old hound chasin' a pick-up. Wouldn't know what to do with it if he caught it! Chuck
  14. Who cares about the music? Look at her: She's highly hittable!
  15. The question is whether it makes financial sense for this country to continue to fight a drug war that is extremely expensive and utterly futile. My argument is that it does not make sense. Shrugging your shoulders and saying "it is what it is" doesn't really respond to that argument. Read the article I cited and explain why you think the war on drugs is worth the cost. I'd be happy to hear your arguments. I've though for a long time that the 'war on drugs' is a joke. That opinion was strengthened by things my wife told me during her time as a law enforcement officer (investigator) and five years 'on loan' to DEA. I've even wondered if maybe, some politicians and the like might be 'on the take' from the cartels. I feel too, we've been pussy-footin' in regard to it. If, they are serious, they need to get down and dirty or forget it. There's also a lot of ridiculous and wasteful spending involved, too. Chuck
  16. They might have been able to convince one of their "straight" friends to light up with them, but I'll bet dollars to dimes the group you mention was stepping out of the bars and lighting up prior to the new law as well. Would you or your friends who don't uae drugs start using them just because the legal status changed? Soon we may see gay marriage legalized. Guess what I'm not doing right after the law passes. No and no to both your questions!! Chuck
  17. Dunn... Just recently, in Denver, Colo., when word got out that their pot bill was passed, folks stepped out of the beer joints and lit-up! Chuck
  18. Girls are supposed to be coddled... just ask them! Good for your nephew! I was reading a news story awhile back that said this seems to bea trend in this country. Kids going to college, graduating and returning to their parents home. Here we go... when I turned 18, I went to college and my Dad broke my plate!! Chuck
  19. Seems like in any store I've gone into, I'd see young employees standing around, texring and just killing time. I've also, seen a few that were actually trying to look busy. Kids seem to want the paycheck... they just don't want the work. I've got a niece and nephew who like your niece, never held a job in their lives. They both graduated from big name universities here in Texas. After graduating, they looked for work onthe internet but just couldn't find anything worth their time. They sat around the house and decided to go to grad school. My niece found a job at a bakery after grad school The nephew is presently in grad school. They are both good-good young people, they're just lazy and expect mom and dad to take care of them. I've heard that this type of thing is real common, now. Chuck

  21. Sure will! They'll just flood this country and all the dopers will be in 'high heaven'. I guess, local law enforcement will have to pick-up the government's slack. Chuck
  22. Who cares about the music? Look at her: She's highly hittable!
  23. Well, you're obviously not familiar with most of her music...only what the johhny-come-lately hater's bandwagon has rolled out. You might want to read the lyrics for "Mean". BTW, it's about a critic...not an ex. "Swift is known for her narrative songs about her experiences as a teenager and young adult. As a songwriter, she has been honored by the Nashville Songwriters Association and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Swift's other achievements include seven Grammy Awards, eleven American Music Awards, seven Country Music Association Awards and six Academy of Country Music Awards. She has sold over 26 million albums and 75 million digital downloads worldwide." Carrie is good in her own right but...there ya' go. That's all well and good... I still don't like her music! Chuck
