  1. But why has the Manning story had any impact on your opinion of the NPP, given that the prize committee has done absolutely nothing whatsoever in relation to Manning? Not really. Just discussing. As for Manning... I hope they shove him so far back in the pen, they have to pump daylight to him! Chuck
  2. Me too! I always understood that a NPP was a big deal and really 'classy'. Fooled me! Chuck
  3. Oh ok. So can you point me to the story which connects the ACLU to the clown? Are you that hapless? So you can't. Easier to just say that, I'd have thought. Sigh....please show where is said the ACLU was going to sue. Let me help you out here. He didn't say that, He simply expressed a sarcastic opinion. Understand now? The question was "And where's the story about the ACLU?". Nothing about where did he say ACLU was going to sue. Your response is as stupid as the OP. This is all just too funny. Chuck
  4. I don't see how this http://home.myhughesnet.com/news/read/category/Top%20News/article/ap-manning_to_speak_at_his_sentencing_heari-ap is a valid excuse for what he did. Chuck
  5. You said, and confirmed when I questioned you on it, that the Nobel Prize was a joke because of a petition from a group of people completely unconnected with the Nobel Prize, and which the Nobel Prize Committee stated they were going to ignore. You are judging them for what other people have said and done. If you've made a mistake and that is not what you meant to say, by all means please clarify - but that is what you have said. I am just pointing out that, as regards Manning, the thing you are disagreeing with has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the people who administer the Prize. People are entitled to their opinion. Chuck
  6. I already replied to you with a quote from a committee spokeswoman saying the petition wouldn't make a blind bit of difference either way. You're saying the fact a petition was sent makes the Nobel Committee, the people that it was sent to, a joke. Even though they didn't ask for it and won't pay any attention to it. If you have a problem with them over Obama, your problem with them is over Obama. There is no earthly reason for you to have a problem with them over Manning for the simple reason that they have not yet done anything in relation to Manning. I don't see how you are reading something other than what I said but bottom line, folks can do what they want in regard to the NPP... I don't care! They have that right. I just don't agree with their decisions in regards to awards. Why should that bother you? Or, are you just upset because I don't agree with you? It is my understand that people have the right to their opinions. You have yours and I have mine. What skin is it off your nose? Chuck
  7. And I come from a time when Organisation A isn't judged because Organisation B sent them a letter which they didn't ask for and won't act on. I guess, they have that right. I just don't agree with it. Far as I'm concerned, they can do what they want. Who have what right? To reiterate, you're calling the Nobel Committee a joke because you don't like the contents of a petition which was sent to them - a petition they didn't ask for and will not pay any attention to. Do you see why that's really weird? How do you know they won't pay attention to it? They paid attention to Obama! I'm saying, if someone wants to send a petition to the committee, that's their right. Chuck
  8. And I come from a time when Organisation A isn't judged because Organisation B sent them a letter which they didn't ask for and won't act on. I guess, they have that right. I just don't agree with it. Far as I'm concerned, they can do what they want. That doesn't mean I have to agree with it. I still, think it's a joke. Chuck
  9. ***You have a strange view on things. I'm going to send you a petition to expose Area 51 so I can laugh at you for believing in aliens. Because apparently that's how it works.[/quo I come from a time when anyone who leaked information about our country to other countries were tried for treason. Now, folks seem to think that that type of activity is just fine. I happen to disagree. Are you talking about illegal aliens coming into this country or those supposed aliens from other planets. I can confirm there are illegals coming into this country from other countries but I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of aliens from other planets. Chuck
  10. Does it? The decision by an unrelated group to send a petition reflects badly on the people who receive the petition? What if the people who received the petition had this to say about it: "The Nobel Peace Prize is not a popularity contest and a large number of signatures will neither help nor hinder (Manning's) candidacy" Is that a joke? YUP! Chuck
  11. This is why I avoid divorce law. It's the same reason why I decided not to go into politics, even at the local level: in each case, all too often, Goal Number One is fucking-over the other person, no matter the consequence. No thanks. As my attorney told me before my first divorce; "It gets down to the Donny Osmond records!" Chuck
  12. The NPP committee threw their credibility in the shitter when they gave a 'prize' to Obama. Now with a petition to give one to Manning shows what a joke one of those prizes is. I'm gonna' start buying Cracker Jack... maybe I'll get one! Chuck
  13. Too much money and over-sized egos. With a driving desire to 'win' and come out on top. To me, that's not in line with what a 'reasonable man' (person) would do. At least it hasn't come to the point of murder. Chuck
  14. Silly question are these dz kids or wuffo kids? Do they both get a free pass or does someone get their mommy or daddy and tell them thats unacceptable and clean it up. Some of us were the tree people, packed outside in the shade. The trees also had some 50 man rocks. We hadthe usual dz weekend gear with a old 9x10 rug for laying our canopy on. We came down from a load and one guy found a woofo kid playing with his expensive camera gear. The little shit had taken a lot of stuff out of the dudes gear bag . The lenses had cute little finger prints, no telling what else. The video dude was very disapointed and when after the kid with a real pissed off look. If looks could kill I reacted immediatly I wasnt concerned about the little shit head. I was concerned about my jump buddy. Rule number one don't mess with kids thats supposed to their parents job. After I calmed the guy down I suggested that he go with his gear to the mom and pop dzo. And let her take care of it. We kept a eye on the little shit just in case the dzo wanted to go after the parents and make them pay for the damages. Whos owns this little darling please report to manifest. Never knew what happened with the dzo or the gear except my buddy didn't go to jail for touching the little unsupervised darling. R I understand his being upset. That would piss-off the Pope! The kids who just dropped their bubble gum on the packing area floor were 'regular's' kids! And you'd better not say a word to them!! The worst thing I ever witnessed was at a DZ (now closed) over on the Gulf. Some wuffos showed up to 'watch'. One of them had a dog and just before entering the hangar, unleashed her little dog. The dog immediately went over to a young ladie's brand spankin' new Racer and lifted it's leg, soaking it from reserve to throw-out pilot chute. I had been visiting with another rigger and turned to see what all the hollering was about. The owner of the rig went to tears. The wuffos snuck outa there before anyone could do anything. Everyone was too concerned about the girl and her new rig. Chuck
  15. C'mon, throw us a bone! Just trying to sniff-out the facts. Pawing through all the material makes one dog-tired. Chuck
  16. Little dudes name is BLUEStein Fitting! Chuck
  17. http://home.myhughesnet.com/tv/3/player/vendor/NyDailyNews/player/fiveminute/asset/nydailynew-10yearold_prodigy_rocks_out_on_electric-gnrc The kid ain't too bad!! Chuck
  18. I think this rather covers it. That about sums it up! Chuck
  19. Not any longer, unless you get some old cans. They moved away from using flammable gasses like butane and LPG. RE: Flybear, I used "air" in quotation marks, because it isn't air. Good to know. Thanks!! Chuck
  20. I think they gave him the award just for not being Dubya. Whatever their reasons they weren't very good. The guy hadn't done anything. The committee lost credibility on that one. But he's got it and we don't. Chuck Chuck
  21. From the horse's mouth: http://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates/2009/press.html Really the prize should have been given to "people who voted for what he said during his campaign" rather than given to him. But that would have been too abstract and ridiculous a thing to award a Nobel Prize to, and the Nobel committee was still three years away from jumping the shark. I thought they jumped the shark at the time. He was barely in office. Very convincing isn't he. Chuck
  22. I have forgotten... why did Obama receive a Nobel Peace prize? Chuck
  23. I would think that the Cordura would be rough on the lips! The only ones I've seen chewing bubble gum and tossing it on the floor were kids. If it's a 'nice' lady, I'd just pick it up for her. Chuck
