As a consumer protection feature, I'm not particularly worried about minimum standards. Let's face it, nobody reads the contract and fewer understand it. So, minimum standards level the field between the consumer and the corporation. However, that's not all this act did, is it? In fact, that's a drop in the bucket. As I understand it, this law is something like 1200 pages. How many Americans have a copy or access to it? What really concerns me about this whole thing is, our president comes across as more of a dictator rather than a president. He is taking away our freedom of choice. He's forcing people to buy something at a higher rate than they were paying previously. He has claimed several things in regard to his healthcare law but the reality of it is, he lied to us. Now, he's scrambling to get the American public to believe in him and his B.S. healthcare law. To me, his healthcare law is more like a 'shake-down'. Chuck

I've often wondered if, it could've been a coincidence that there was another shooter, that day and not a 'conspiracy' at all. From watching films of the assasination, Kennedy was shot from behind as well as in front. I doubt we'll ever know the truth. Chuck

As the Supreme Court correctly determined, they are not forcing you to buy anything. You get taxed if you don't have health insurance. If you don't mind paying the extra tax, you don't have to buy anything at all. That tax rate increases as long as you don't pay it or 'buy' Obamacare. That comes across to me, as twisting your arm pretty good. Fortunately, my wife and I have health care insurance that 'meets' the standard set by Obamacare and is cheaper. Chuck Ah - so you, sir, are covered for maternity? I don't know about that. We received a letter from our insurance company saying our policy met the requirements. I really don't believe we'll be needing the part you mentioned. Chuck

A couple years ago, I saw a '60-Minutes' story about produce grown in Mexico using human waste for fertilizer. What the program showed, the waste material was not composted or treated in any way. Chuck

I couldn't get away with releasing grey water where I live now, but it's ok to have horse or cow poop making its way into the ecosystem. I know of a couple of folks who use their human waste to fertilize their vegetable garden! Chuck
